  1. Well yeah thumb . Not mad here . Didn't know that I came across as being mad. By bad ya'll just trying to figure out what some were saying. No problems
  2. Na, I wasn't mad, just didn't really know what he was looking for (meaning) in his statements. That's all. He's cool by me, whoever he is.
  3. Yeah they will, because Vasek and Carr will get the only real big guy that Eagleville has left in foul trouble early and run away with it if they ain't careful.
  4. hey, I ain't mad at ya, just made it sound like a hidden agenda or some kind of thing, that's all. Just was wondering where you were coming from.
  5. He didn't play the whole game, he picked up 3 fouls in the first half and sat for at least 2 min. of the second and didn't start the 3rd. He came out foul happy.
  6. No one is making him out to be a thug, or anything else, other than a 17/18 year old kid who is very athletic, but has some parts to his game that needs some work. What high school kid's game here in Tennessee doesn't need some work in one area or another. Even Wright up at BA has somethings that he needs to work on, the Delk brothers have things they need to work on. It's not just Tyler. All of these guys have an awesome ability and awesome talent, but none of them are perfect. If that is me calling Smith or any of the rest of them "thugs" then yeah, I guess I am, but I don't think so. I really feel sorry for these guys and anyone else who has sooo many folks depending on them to make everyone else around them feel so significant like some of you seem to. Let them be who they are not some one that they never can be. There will only be one MJ, one LeBron, one Kobe, one T-Mac, one KG, etc....... and only one Tyler Smith.
  7. The way that I heard it, Coach Newton wasn't gotten rid of, he didn't want to coach the high school team, he wanted the middle school job. As for the young hot head... remember he is fresh out of college and has a lot to learn. Give him time and he will done fine.
  8. For his sake I hope so, but he not niether Tracy McGrady or Lebron James. He is Tyler Smith.
  9. hey goose, you left yourself wide open for that one . All in fun!!
  10. That will be a great chance for Wright and Smith to show out on a real big stage. That's awesome that Vandy is allowing them to play there. Tyler will have a good game there with at least 3 or 4 hopefully to come while at UT.
  11. Hey besides dude, I am not blasting ur boy, I have been around college basketball before myself and I am just telling the thruth. Tyler is a very gifted athlete, but he just like everyother athlete around has things that they need to work on. His just happens to be his outside shot. So get your panties out of a wad and chill.
  12. Dude all I know is what people from Pulaski tell me when I ask how Giles is doing. Folks down there aren't as stupid as you or as you think they are.
  13. hey dude, that's not what he was saying. He said that Pope should have learned from Coach Benson how and what it takes to win especially late in the year. As far as you personally being a good coach?, I don't know who you are, but the wins and losses do matter. This is Pope second year, last year they were still trying to buy into the system that he was teaching. This year I think that they have bought into it. As for the past.... that's exactly what it is, the past. Greene and Mooney alot of people questioned them as coaches. Give Pope a chance before you start questioning him as well. Since you say that you are a coach as well, are you jealous of Pope and their success this year , or just hoping to see him fail at Cascade?
  14. Mt. Pleasant from region 6A will go to sub-state, the other team from that region.... well, that will have to be decided later. I know that District 11A the first round will be played at the higher seed, to early to tell about who and where, but the rest of it will be hosted by Moore Co. at Motlow St.
  15. Hey, its really easy to shoot horse shots in a game, that's shots where people leave you all by yourself! He does not have a good enough shot from outside to really be able to help UT next year. His game is better suited for inside/ post play and at that level he will be undersized. Ya'll all need to remember, that in the SEC everyone of those guys who play come out of high school with the hype, and the talent that Tyler has. It's not like his will be in a class all to his own. If they don't redshirt him, then he will probably average around 8 pts and 5 reb. per. He could average more, but that will be determined on how hard he WORKS, cause up there he will actually have to attend class, which he doesn't do at Giles Co. and he will have to work in practice which he isn't pushed to do at Giles Co. It will be a different world for him up there. Good luck to him at UT.
  16. If UT is smart they will redshirt him. He desprately needs to work on his outside shot.
  17. DUH!!!! Santa Fe with their eyes shut again. 20+
  18. Hey GG840, please forgive goose_15, he tends to get his feathers ruffelled at times. As for the game on Friday, Cascade will pull out the victory not because it is "homecoming", but because they are back home from 7 straight on the road if they remember what it's like to shoot at home. Forrest will come in and try to take the second one from the Champs this district season, but I don't think that they will have enough. Cascade by 10+. thumb
  19. Hey goose_15, Try reading what the topic is about or what other people are saying before you comment. This post is about EAST Tennessee, not MIDDLE Tennessee which is where Cascade is. Sorry folks for the mistake of my little friend.
  20. I hope that the Rockets who showed up last night at the Cascade/Culleoka game liked what they saw, and hope that they are aware that there will be more of that on Friday night in Bell Buckle. See ya'll then.
  21. I agree. If you want to see why Cascade was 8-0 in the district show up Friday night when they get Forrest again. The outcome will be totally different. Just wait and see.
  22. Since when is Matt Byrd a junior?..... You know, it really doesn't matter who they started, or who played for Cascade. Cascade played their second worst game of the year and only lost by 4. All I know is that after they play a solid defensive game tonight at Culleoka; and no, that game will not be high scoring probabaly in the 50's, and low 50's at that no matter who wins, the loss to Forrest will still be fresh. Does Forrest deserve all this "credit" for beating Cascade... NO, they deserve credit for out hustling and out working them, but that was the only area that they deserve credit for. Both teams didn't look good, and for the 3 games that Forrest played last week, how many were on the road? And if you expect us to think that beating Cornersville was a tough game, think again. Cascade had 3 ROAD games last week and Friday's was against their biggest rival Community. Forrest caught Cascade at the best possible time and that won't happen twice in one week.
