    REID'S DEBUT

Can anyone tell me how REID (previous ALCOA) and Hamontree (previous Maryville) done in their opener this weekend? And possibly a school website so that I can see how they do throughout the year?
  2. Am I the only one that listened to 99 Sports Talk today. That's about all they talked about. UNDERAGE DRINKING
  3. I understand that they were suspended for one game because of underage drinking. NEWS TALK 99 was talking about it all day today. Baker was not 100% any wawy and the others I don't think started.
  4. Trust me IT IS COACHING. I personally know GQ and play golf with him at GMCC. He mentioned to me that if he was at ALCOA he wouldn't care who he played, ANY classification. ALCOA'S talent was that good. COACHING is what sat them apart. And will continue until changes are made. Congrats to ALCOA and MHS. GREAT JOB GUYS...
  5. JUST WANTED TO JUMP ON THIS THREAD LONG ENOUGH TO SAY. GO REBELS LETS BRING TWO GOLD BALLS BACK TO BLOUNT COUNTY THIS WEEKEND! MARYVILLE 24 MELROSE 17
  6. Yeah I'm LOL. I did "write" that and if you could "weed" I said MIGHT be. He has a lot to prove still but time will tell. And as far as high school talent as to when they came out i would put him right there with them if not better.
  7. GREAT POST "JC" I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT THE MISLED ASSUMPTIONS OF WHAT MIGHT BE THE BEST FOOTBALL PLAYER EVER FROM THE STATE OF TN! AND YOU HAVE STILL GOT THE RESPECT FOR HIM WHILE YOU PULL FOR THE REBS!! I KNOW WHAT KIND OF PERSON BW IS AND BY MY POSTS SAYS IT ALL. YOUR DOGS NAME IS "TEE" I THINK WHICH IS BLIND. I HOPE ALL IS WELL! GO ALCOA,REBELS & O.R. BRING IT BACK TO EAST TN
  8. OBVIOUSLY NONE OF YOU KNOW THE KID! HE IS POLITE AND A VERY GOOD STUDENT! HIS PROBLEM? HE IS VERY COMPETITIVE! GETS TOO PUMPED AT TIMES AND HE WAS A MAN THAT "WAS" PLAYING AGAINST CHILDREN! IF YOU CALL HIM A THUG AND NOT KNOWING HIM SHOWS ONE THING ON YOUR PART! YOUR JEALOUS AND WISH YOU OR YOUR SON (IF YOU HAVE ONE AND NOT LIVING WITH A HOUSE FULL OF GIRLS) COULD BE THE SAME PERSON! BTY GOOD LUCK TO MARYVILLE
  9. During the game with CAK he was pentalized a personal foul after a CAK player got mad because BW pinned him to the ground. When the CAK player got up he got in BW's face and when BW pused him off the ref's SAW ony that. The second time was when BW caught the ball and the ref threw the flag at about the same time as he went to spin the ball. Two personal fouls in one game and your gone for the next game. But since this was his second ejection TSSAA says you have to sit two games. One thing BW can look forward to is the next time he plays football (FSU) probably, he won't have to worry about that Chicken !@#$ ref making a call on him. In BW's next league he will never be around.
  10. I personally think they looked a little weak last week. Not the players anyways. They shouldn't have to worry to much in my opinion. It depends on which HEAD COACH shows up on ALCOA's side. GO ALCOA, MARVILLE, OAK RIDGE!!!
  11. I haven't seen every TSSAA high school game but it is obvious whether BW is the best player or not he has been been built up to that. I have however seen a every single game he has played in and not played in and can tell you that with all the hype going into the first of the year about him being a "manchild" amoung kids on the field left him with nothing but a bullseye on his jersey. After the KY incident which was a farse I thought I had seen it all, until the CAK game when the ref had the flag out of his pocket before BW had the ball spinning on the turf. HE WAS A MARKED MAN. But for any reason the playoffs do not count on the ballots and he really is deserving of this award like it or not. He is much more deserving than the offensive back in BOO who one of his own teamates had better stats as well as DL of Alcoa for two years straight. I here the JACKSON SUN has more influence than the News Sentinel. GOOD LUCK TO ALCOA, MARYVILLE & OAK RIDGE. BRING THE GOLD BACK TO THE EAST WHERE IT BELONGS.
  12. MATTER OF OPINION!! We will see how good he is soon enough.
  13. It was the third of three in a row for alcoa we hosted Hampton that year in the first round, then beat Polk Co. in the second round 28-14, and Lake Co. in the championship game 13-9 on December the 7th 1979, all games were played at then Goddard Field instead of going to the boro'. We had an All-State running back named George Parker who rushed that year for 2382 yards on 277 carries through 14 games. The record still stands.
  14. YEAH I remember that 79' Team. We beat you ALCOA 40 Hamp 14 Good luck Friday.
