  1. i'd say central would have played them again or scrimmaged them if it wasnt for their pyscho parents and fans
  2. i really don't know how he played as much as he did for Unicoi. everyone that played against him seemed to want to hit him, because they said he was a dirty player. him getting mvp for districts was crazy. all region and all conference is even crazier. i believe i would have started the kid who played guard for jv. sparks is not that great
  3. I love Ryan, I love his whole family. His mother cooks a great meal.
  4. Matt Mortensen Game 1 - 21 pts, 7 reb, 2 assists Matt Mortensen Game 2 - 25 pts, 2 reb, 1 assist Matt Mortensen Game 3 - 34 pts, 6 reb, 1 assist Matt Mortensen Game 4 - Website didn't have the stats for championship game. His game is kind of like a Dirk Nowitzki type but better defense, yet not as tall. He's pretty built though. He also works well off of screens and had a couple shots that were JJ Redick type.
  5. I also would have to say Matt Mortensen is one of the best players I have ever seen in the Arby's. Marquette is one lucky team for landing this guy.
  6. I know I'm a little late on this but I haven't been able to post for a while. As I say every year, I think the refs try and make sure that Science Hill wins. I do not understand how Mays had there 4 best players all with four fouls late in the game. It seems as if this happens every year. It's not that I have anything against the Toppers but am I the only one noticing this?
  7. Is it just me or everytime our team goes to another school's place there never seems to be a designated place for the home team to sit. You have the whole home crowd on the other side then a bunch of people on the visitors side. I believe this is why many conflicts you see on tv is happening. I don't know if it's just me but it is getting awfully annoying.
  8. If Science Hill is so much better than Central, why didn't they beat us this year when we scrimmaged them?
  9. Does everybody from Unaka get on here or something, thats all there ever is on here. Unaka this, Unaka that.
  10. Central should really start getting it going. Toler should be back soon, he was practicing light yesterday. Weatherford should start putting up big numbers soon. But for the people who was asking about his scoring, every team knows he can shoot. Everytime he touches the ball you have a coach yelling shooter. He doesn't have to score for them to win, he is good enough to find other ways to win games than scoring. Hess has done a good job starting as well with Buchanan in the place of Toler. Both posts are playing now and should contribute greatly.
  11. Volunteer has lost a lot of games, why is everyone picking them ahead of the rest of the pack? They aren't that great this year, Chucky was a great lost. Jacob Frazier isn't that bad, but he is not a star. Chucky made the game much easier for those guys last year.
  12. Central was missing three players, a senior starter, and two 6'3 and 6'4 post players. If they were there I wouldn't expect so many points coming from the post. I do think Cody Shipley is a really good post player though, and will be tough next year for anybody. I look forward to the game at Central when East has to come down there.
  13. Anyone watch the playoffs when they had the Let's Get It Started made for like a basketball song. That would prolly be one of the best warm ups I have ever heard besides Eye Of The Tiger.
  14. Central beat Happy Valley in the Jamboree, and has beat a couple of teams in the Top 10 in NET. They are playing extremely well right now, may not have the talent, but if they keep playing like this it could get interesting.
