Nokona's right, all that matters is the postseason. Look at last year in this same district. We (ER) were ranked 5th in the state going in to tourney time, and we lost our 1st one and went home. That's when hixson snuck up on csas and advanced to the region semis. Like i said, csas won't go undefeated, they could have a bad nite or just get out played. They have a lot of talent, but as marsh goes csas goes, so if you slow him down you've got a shot. I know martell and thomas, but it all starts with marsh. Seq., bledsoe, tyner, and hixson all have chances to sneak up on them. Howard is too undisciplined and we already got blown out (we do have another shot). We'll see what happens.

No grad, i'm sorry but it won't be by 20-30. That doesn't happen too often in our district with so many good teams.

no, it is way too hard of a district. not even howard finished undefeated back when they had sir lee and ricky. no way.

I've told everybody that they were counting us out too early this year, and now we're 3-0 in the district. this will be a tough game for us, but it's obvious that you can never count us out.

i'll admit we will have to fight it out this year, but we have a shot. we'll handle all the valley teams, and i think we can pull of some upsets. should be an interesting season.

sounds good to me, seq. doesn't win much, so that could be the case.

goddard is a great coach, i just think he had a hard time adjusting to the high school kids again and keeping them ready for play. eller at hixson is a very good coach, but his players don't always seem to play a full game. seq. is always disciplined and that goes to the coach. winning does matter though.

well, it doesn't really matter what potential they have to score if they aren't getting it done. hixson can't be averaging more than 45 points. not too powerful, since all you talk about is their offense. that potential better work out, or it will just be a waste and they'll keep losing.

i don't know about that nokona. i saw howard and hixson, and you know good and well that hixson beat themselves. howard isn't a great team, and can be easily beaten if you limit your turnovers and know how to play them. tyner lost absolutely nothing from last year and gained a lot from last years' JV talent. I still think that we have an undeniable shot to make it to regions. we were in the top 5 in TN last year before bledsoe upset us. don't count us out.

didn't you say that they have smalley too. i went to the howard game and he was in foul trouble, but never touched the ball hardly. ???? he does need to have a good game or else go play baseball, cuz the kid can do that for sure. he'll need to shoot it well against these guys. wood is #24 right? well, he hasn't been too impressive, but i remember he had a decent season last year so he could come around. i know we'll be ready for both of these guys.

i do know howard has michael ford, and he's their best player.

I feel that these guys are the main competition for us in our district this year. All these teams lost some from last year, so who are the top players on each team and why? What do they have that other teams need to be ready for?

i usually go against hixson, but they have to be mad with the way they have blown most of their games. from what i know, they should have beaten howard and soddy. both games they were said to have choked and gave away the game in the second half. i think hixson should win this one easily though, we beat sequatchie, and they aren't playing well. if hixson plays well, they'll win.

Forgot to mention that last year's opener went to hixson, but in the end it mattered not, cuz howard got the title.

Polk co. is surprisingly good this year with quality wins over seq. and bledsoe. ER is a mystery. Polk beat boyd this past week and then lost to hixson by 30. I like ER, but mainly because i'm partial.

Are you serious? It should be a good game, but it is nowhere near automatic that hixson wins. If #10 and #44 play well hixson has a chance. Who is wood? Is he #24? He didn't impress me last week at all, and he'll need to play well too. (fat chance) Howard has dartrell and A-ray, it should be a good one.
