  1. It should be a great game, I remember when a bunch of us threw toilet paper on the court when Alcoa scored the first points 2 years ago...great time! After we won we stormed the court and A-E fans started throwin stuff...fights alomost broke out...yeah should be a great game.
  2. Hold on snoball just because you guys went undefeated and whooped Union City doesn't mean you would come even close to beating Alcoa. Theres a big difference between Trousdale and Alcoa.
  3. The reason Alcoa wouldn't beat all those top 5a and 4a teams is because we don't have the 1000+ students to help stack our football team. With the talent we do have with only 400+ students to think if we did have 1000+ we would be amazing, but we don't and won't unless Alcoa starts growing... Yes Alcoa would beat anyone through 3a quite convincingly with their athletes, but since Alcoa is small most of our players play both ways unlike the bigger schools who have athletes to fill all positions and keep their players fresh. The fact that we can routinely beat 4a and 5a schools with the amount of athletes show coaches and media that we have some bigtime athletes and legitimate D1 players on our team. Alcoa has to take what they can get for football players because we're so small, but it is amazing that we have had such great athletes come from our school, there is a amazing pool of talent in Alcoa. I think most Maryville fans realize this and respect Alcoa except for one game in the year. There the few fans that hate Alcoa for whatever the reasons, but you have to respect us for how well we do with what we got b/c we should be in 1a b/c most 2a schools have between 500 to 600 students. Maryville has some good athletes, but their O-line and D-line is awesome, but again that comes with having 1000+ students. Congrats to Alcoa on a dominating 55-13 win and hope Maryville and Oakridge brings one back too.
  4. Good job Alcoa I knew you would win big I predicted 35-14 but hey 55-13 is even better
  5. Don't get on Alcoa about showing off and thug blah blah blah BS! If you made some the plays they made you'd be showing off too b/c I know I would. The grab by Lanxter by that guy's head I woulda broke out with the crip walk and high fived the refs. Its a high school football game and its about having fun and being serious too, but celebrations are all part of it....name me one team that hasn't celebrated. Its the state championship and you are whoopin goodpasture you've got to celebrate some. Just because brandon warren is suspended doesn't mean he can't come onto the field after a touchdown a lot of others do and he was a huge part in getting where they are and he deserves to celebrate with them. Fan2Fan u have no idea of who a thug is if you think some kids celebrating on the field after touchdowns is thug-like then you are a idiot...just a straight up ignorant idiot dude. When do Alcoa players go beating up people, pullin out knives and guns on people...they don't. That is what a thug is and if you want to personally meet some thugs then go to some places in Knoxville like Magnolia, Western Heights, and on Broadway where talkin smack can get you killed or beat up. If you want to meet some thugs then go there and and stir up some trouble and you'll meet thugs otherwise get off this site with your dumb #### posts.
  6. Alright dude I don't think if you noticed or not, but Alcoa is known for its athletics being mainly football and basketball. In Alcoa whats more important bro football or lets say soccer....hmm oh man this is hard...its football! Why do you think football players or even basketball players will get better treatment is because we win in those sports. In football we're always deep in the playoffs and in basketball we're in state or substate tournaments. Thats just how it is and thats how it is in all schools with their top sports. You're gonna have to get used to it.
  7. Good job Alcoa on the win...looks like tornadoes can and did toss the train of the tracks. Good luck next week in the boro and good thing its not huntingdon thats the only team in 2a that I think would have given Alcoa a run for their money.
  8. It may as well work out for the best to test the team on how they will play against Tyner and most likely Huntingdon without their #1 man. I think Kyrus and Sommers are big threats if they try to load the box with 8 or 9 guys to stop the run and Alcoa has many backs that can produce. I still think the call was messed up, but Alcoa should do well.
  9. I guess its safe to start back on this thread again now.
  10. It is because Brandon Warren is an All-American...if he so much waggles a finger all heck breaks lose. Yeah I watched it on Prep Xtra too and the call was overrated, the emotion he showed was that he was upset he got tackled.
  11. I don't think Goodpasture can beat Huntingdon, but it will put the game towards the other team's favor a little bit
  12. These losses will hurt Alcoa tremendously but they still got Lanxter and Sommers to take it through the air.
  13. I think Alcoa can get past Tyner but his and Rae's loss will be felt in the state game. Alcoa is gonna have to pound the ball like Maryville now.
  14. If the ejection holds then Alcoa will have a tough, tough time and I hope the offense can score more than the other team's.
  15. the call against brandon gets the bullsh!t award...a ejection for spinning the ball..oh please! the refs can go cry a river somewhere else.
  16. CAK can try and play mistake free, but the defense is too good for them like last game I see Harb being picked off a couple of times and CAK cannot and will not stop Lindsey or Warren...Alcoa 56 CAK 14.
  17. In the 2003 semi-final game when Alcoa lost to Lipscomb it was 56-6 I think Warren got the only score. If I am right it was also the largest margin Alcoa has ever lost by in the playoffs.
  18. On game night scores it say 91-7 for final and they cut the quarters to 8 minutues is that true? Also like I said earlier if you can stop it then stop it if not you're in for a long night and GP couldn't stop it. Yeah I know a lot of people will be like thats awful they shouldn't run it up! What's Alcoa gonna do give it to the 3rd string and let them take a knee for like 20 minutes and give the ball to GP who will lose it in like 30 seconds I don't think so.
  19. In regular season you want to keep your starters fresh and healthy for playoffs, but when playoffs come around I wouldn't let up if you can stop it then stop it, if not then you're out of luck and it will have a mental impact on the next team when they know you will come out and relentlessly try to put up 70 points.
  20. Ha ha! That was good man and probably true, but Maryville is Maryville.
  21. Rockwood will not pull an upset or even get close to it Loudon by 28.
  22. Fulton is on a roll and it will be tough for anyone now to stop them and Carter's region is a weak region so I see Fulton winning by at least 14.
  23. Yeah this game will be a blow out but I hope Alcoa will keep them under 14 even with the 2nd team and hopefully turnovers won't be a problem like they were in the Rockwood game, but Alcoa wins big here 56-14.
  24. Yeah thats not very good at all. I was reading the paper and it show 0 points for us and 20 for them for the fourth quarter and a lot of turnovers. That definately needs to be fixed.
  25. Rockwood scored 26 points on Alcoa...thats not good for Alcoa's defense. We don't want another shootout later in the season when we play better teams in the playoffs.
