  1. Polk is a well coached team with some tough hard nosed kids that play the game the right way but they have not come close to seeing the skill position players they will see Friday. SP is loaded with speed and has good size up front. Unless SP turns the ball over this game won't be too close. Polk will line up and keep punching though. Tough kids.
  2. I think one has been starting at center. 6 foot 280 lbs. sophomore. Coach Wilsons son is going to be a good T/E - D/E and I think the last is the kicker who kicked in the jamboree and looked solid.
  3. SP moved the ball very well against Bradley. The field was very wet and there were a couple of muffed snaps. Each team had only 10 plays and SP moved the ball up the field and did not give up much to Bradley. They moved the ball very well against McMinn Central and East Ridge as well. East Ridge was the weakest team there IMO. SP's line starters are as big as any of the schools they played and their skill people are better. They just don't have the line depth of some of the larger schools. SP is actually very big on both lines of scrimmage with their starters. Their tight end did not play and he may be the best prospect on the team. I think he had some dental surgery. I believe coach Wilsons boy played tight end yesterday and he will be a good player for them. I would like to see them be under center more. All of the snaps were shotgun except for goal line. Field conditions were similar to playoff conditions. If Robinson stays healthy they will be very very good - especially in the playoffs. I am not an alumnus just an observer so I am not a SP homer. I actually went to one of the other high schools that played yesterday - many years ago.
  4. Both centers looked good with snaps in the 7 on 7 drills. One is a transfer who looks to be about 6' and 270 lbs. Both should play somewhere. Who are these two centers this year?? Don't know either one. Just caught a glimpse at one of the passing scrimmages. Did hear that the transfer is only a 15 year old sophomore. The other kid looks to be about 220 or so. SP's skilled kids look as good as any in any classification. It appears they are going to more of a spread offense which probably fits the current personnel a little better. They don't have any real big backs but have ton of quickness. I also think that anyone thinking they will be weak in the O-line may be mistaken. Either center could line up at guard also and play for most teams.
