Yea - i know you really enjoyed football that ONE extra week last year after you put Westview out. and by the way, we are proud of our cheerleaders. They have been National Champions multiple times.

Dad, are you saying what i think you are saying? It sounds like you said that you think westview was not even a good practice game and was the "most terrible" team you ever played. Wow...really...laughable statement. You didnt say it on the radio because you didnt have the guts. Bring it - seriously, you got a win from a Charger team in a building season but you do not say we are not even a good practice team. Correct me if i misread your post - please correct me quickly - because it seems like that what you just said.

You were bragging, and there is no need to call anybody an idiot. Show some class. OH, and "Westview" is one word, not two....but I will refrain from calling you an idiot. Go Chargers.

I think we can beat SGCHS, but really - do we measure our (Westview) ability, including passing stats and td's thrown while looking at the last two teams we played? We are not going to brag that in 4 quarters our qb hasnt thrown an interception. Yes - i say 4 quarters because out starters have been on the sidelines by halftime for the last two weeks and the second string has been playing. We expect our qb not to throw interceptions. 4sho, i am all about the win, and i am all about the qb not throwing picks, but listen - you have to earn that respect from fans, and going 4 quarters against two WEAK teams without an interception is nothing much to brag about. It will get better and hopefully next season, we will having passing options in much tougher games - then if we go several games with no picks - then quote some stats and we will all be braggin. Right now - not really there yet. Love my Chargers - 30+ year unshakeable fan, but we have work to do. I will be in the stands yelling for the boys in blue - EVERY boy in blue. Go Chargers!

Wecome back Butchie! Sorry i missed all the action in your special Butchie thread, but it's good to see you here. We got the Milan purple madness Friday night....oh my Chargers have their hands full. Good luck to the Rebels.

True. Good post. Also, what other teams / posters do not realize is that our team very seldom gets on that field during the year except on Friday nights. True, some times when we have a night practice, Coady takes them to UTM because Westview doesnt have lights on the practice field and when the heat index messes with practice during summer, they have to go to that field. Otherwise, our boys do not use that field, so it isnt exactly like they are on it consistently throughout the year. Enough on this .... it is our "home" field and I am very proud of it and so are many, many others. As far as the game against Milan...shew...I love my Chargers and I was screaming last year when we pulled that win off. I hope we can do it again.

Agreed - great post Fanatic! What kind of true fan is going to call out a player by position in a negative way? No, we dont have a hoss at this position right now and we were kinda spoiled for the passed few years, but this is a different year and we need to show support. We do not need negative, fair-weather fans or posters who cannot give some sort of positive encouragement. Game experience comes with game experience and skill is there or it isnt or can be developed. To call that political or anything else is just ridiculous. Your negative posting is not wanted here. GO WESTVIEW!

We have a great place for our players to play, our home fans to sit, and our visitors to sit. We have safe parking, good restrooms and an overall wonderful environment for Friday night football. 99% of these boys will never play college ball and they get to play on a college field more pristine than anything they will encounter - including lockerrooms. Westview players do not complain - and YES - I had a varsity player for 4 years and he loved it and was proud for other teams to come to "his" home field. Martin has been playing in that stadium for longer than some of us have been alive. Get over it. It's a beautiful place to play and I have never heard a visitor say anything except what a great experience they have, but more importantly, i have never heard a PLAYER say anything but what a great experience it is. The only gripe i have ever heard over the years are from the people of Martin who do not realize what a blesssing it is and who have nothing better to do than complain about that and everything else. You probably also complain when the UTM students come back in town every fall because McDonald's is too crowded when you're trying to order your cheeseburgers.

Good posts and congrats on the win Rebels. I didnt expect it to be that close, but i didnt expect Milan to play South Gibson close through 3 quarters, either. It's a different season for sure! Reading through this thread, i take my hat off (again!) to you guys from McK for the class you show to your opponents, win or lose. That would be a lot of pressure for the sophmore qb, but he threw a nice pass friday night. he is a bigger kid and has a stronger arm, but he lacks experience. coady started spencer as a sophmore in front of an older qb, but he had been playing qb for the middle school. it will be interesting to see if coady does what he did years ago when legens and moore were both qb's. he would put a different one in depending on the game situation, i believe. one was a better passer and the other was better getting yards on the ground. Very thought provoking question.

if im not mistaken WV was 0 -4 last year before jelling winning 6 in later part pf season.. im still picking Camden by 2-3 scores That was two seasons ago when wv went 0-4 before beating Dburg in game 5 then winning the next 7. Last year WV won game one, lost game two (mcKenzie), beat Milan in Game three, etc. We lost 4 total...Camden (1 in reg season and once in the playoffs, 1 to mcK, and 1 to Memph-Trezev)

You know nothing about the Mighty Chargers. Nobody on any of our threads said it was going to be an easy game either night - get the facts straight. These people are not trash talking kids. We get on here and discuss the games and the coaches...but now we do talk bad about refs sometimes!! If someone goes over the line, somebody else calls them out and they straighten up. We got this, new comer.

I think we have some people posting as Westview supporters who are not Westview supporters. From my experience, we are generally call it like we see it without badmouthing the other team. Humble with the victory, humble with the loss. Go Westview.

We all know the outcome of that game. We were there, saw the score, know it's the biggest thing that will ever happen to your team... you beat the Chargers. OK, move on. We didnt talk this much about beating Milan last year because our fans have class. This is about OC and Westview. Go back to the 2A boards. Regarding the OC / Westview game (if that's ok with you, HOG), our defense will have a time handling their offense. We have a lot of talent on defense, and OC is talented in many directions. Let's hope the referees do not conference all night like they did last year. The game lasted twice as long as it had to. We were glad to get out with the win. Go Chargers.

Seriously, dont dump all Westview fans in a pile. I post for westview regularly and i didnt make any excuses. i call it like i see it, and like i saw it that night was nobody played well. not you and not us. everybody who saw the game knows it. we didnt turn on our new qb, but i am not gonna gloss over something that needs work. out offense needs work. period. the difference between a good fan and an obnoxious fan is the ability to be humble with a victory....yes, even a lucky victory. dude, dont get your back up against westview. you arent us, never will be. please.

Thanks for the Congrats, Butchie. I read the posts on both threads and think the general consensus is .... it was a sucky game. our O and your O leave a lot to be desired. We are proud of the win...i swear i had rather lose to the rebels than to dresden. ha. Well...we'll take it when we can get it. I am sure both our teams will improve a great deal. I think we got a JV game with you guys coming up Monday night. It will probably be a lot better. Anyway...hope you enjoyed the twelve pack! hahaha!
