We would love play y’all in Cookeville. But unfortunately the Championship weekend is in Chattanooga now. I miss Ralph’s donuts.

That's right! They did change it. Well that's a 5 hour drive that I'll make with glee. My son is in that area so I'll make sure he'll be there with me

Looking forward to reading the Senator’s posts!  I keep up with you guys and if you have any of those sprinters from the track team and a decent line, you will make some noise.  How will the coaching changes affect the team?

We will not lose games due to the offense not scoring enough points. We won't be nowhere near predictable on offense. The new DC was a captain my sophomore year at Whitehaven that has been on the staff since 2008 or 2009. An Austin Peay alumnus that learned plenty from our former secret ingredient, Coach Harmon, but he's young enough to take the old school football knowledge from Harmon and put the modern day twist on it.

Wow it’s been a while. How are you sir?

All is well my way. These boards aint the same without kwc but I'll try to push forward and represent Da Haven on these boards like he used to do! Hope all is well in Blount Co.

No doubt they will be back on the scene. Too much tradition, pride, talent and community support for Da Haven not to be back. Much respect. Good luck in y’all’s scrimmage tonight against Ensworth. Let us know how it goes.

I'm at the fire station, I won't see it but I will try to get a report from @dannyq or another Whitehaven vet

  5. In regards to the NEW Head Coach at White Station, it is Coach Teran Conley. Conley is my frat brother ('A PHI '06). He has a lot of Coaching Experience. He will do an excellent job with making those boys become men.  He has no shot at beating us, G-Town, Collierville, Bartlett or Houston this season in the region but he will field a tough minded team that will strike on defense. I personally know Bro. Conley and vouch for his character as a man. He's an alumnus of Trezevant High, he played under Lynn Lane. He was the head coach over at Rossville Christian Academy prior to this position I believe. 2 of his daughters just graduated from White Station so I know he will do his best to make them proud coaching for their alma mater. Love and respect to Coach Conley from Chill

    How long you got?

Simple answer:  Money, facilities, coaching stipends, money, facilities, money, facilities...oh and working for possibly the worst school system in the country

I take extreme offense to the last line. Regardless Whitehaven will be back on the scene

Doesn’t look like a lot of research was done on the non RUCO and WILCO regions.  Just like last year a team from region 5 will play a WILCO team in the state semis. Beech, Gallatin, or Hendersonville will be that team.  The thing that helps the 3 Sumner Co. teams is that they all play tough schedules unlike some of the other regions.

Disagree. Whitehaven will have something to say this season. THE SENATOR IS BACK JACK

    Whitehaven (2-0) at Germantown (1-1)

The rundown: The schedule-makers could not have put together a more enticing matchup for the opening round of Region 8-6A games. The Tigers have played well in victories over Overton and Ridgeway, while Germantown took CBHS to overtime in Week 1 before responding with a gutty Week 2 victory over MUS.

These two teams should know each other inside out; Germantown coach Gene Robinson starred at Whitehaven as a player, and his defensive coordinator, Errol Harmon, was the architect of the defense that sparked the Tigers to state championships in 2012 and 2016 under Rodney Saulsberry. Saulsberry’s current DC is Derrick Bobo, a former standout defensive back under Harmon.

In addition to having major implications on the playoff race, this game also will have an impact on the state rankings. Whitehaven enters at No. 5, while the Red Devils dropped from No. 8 to No. 10 despite winning last week.
