You said a mouthful. I think this should be changed in the future because14 A is loaded with 4 to five good teams and 16 A is powerful also. It would be nice to shake it up a little but the travel would be rough for Middleton, BTW and Mitchell to be in region with Mckenzie and the outcome would be the same so what can be done but have them all travel to Middle Tennessee. It would be a heck of a tourney with all four.

I have watched these boards for months. I have looked at schedules and one thing I will say is this 14 A is one of if not the toughest district in class A ball. There are 3 schools in this district with State Championships. You saw Halls and UC but not Halls against some of the other teams including our county rival Ripley who will also be in action Monday night in AA play. We don't talk a lot. We don't talk much in Lauderdale County we just leave it on the floor. Granted all four of these teams are outstanding but I wouldn't sing that song you singing to fast.

Thank you Ms Bigster and we also have the man back CJ. If you can't play he'll makeyou good. He has the magic touch and we love him. He is also one of the most underrated coaches in West Tn. Taking two undersized teams to the Boro what an accomplishment. All I can say is just wait. If you want to see them they will be in the tournament at Martin Westview Nov. 16 with some others worth watching such as Bolivar and Jackson Northside.

This should wake you up . You only beat us by 8-9 at both schools. We have smart Coaches. Maybe they wanted 4th for the seeding.Choosing to play Mckenzie this was the weakest side of the regional bracket. We only lost by single digits to Humboldt in a hard fought game.

let's just wait and see. I have coached basketball and a year makes a difference in the maturity of a kid. Also a coach makes a difference. These kids play differently for Winston. So let's just wait and see.

Remember we are filling only 2 spots we have alot of juniors and a few sophomores. One junior with a lot of playing time. One thing to keep in mind Demarcus Patrick was the 6th man as a freshman on a team that won district, region and went to the Boro. We also have Winston back.

yes the vikings beat them but this class is not overweight. They are bringing size , quickness and another good guard. If you didn't see them in the gym maybe you saw them on the football field. they won the middle school title but lost to a good Paris school in the state playoffs.

Halls is bringing in a loaded freshman class that went to the state sectionals last year.

The bottom line is 14A is tough our ditrict tourney was very competitive. No blow outs like today in the first round of the state tourney. There are 2 other teams in t 14a that would have done the same. This district is insane and we are not complaining. They need to be glad we can only send 2.

You know being a teacher and a coach has made me want to know what are we teaching our student athletes. Some of these replies are scandalous, but it's like that every year no respect for the west. Last year they even got a little bit uglier than this. So I say to the Vikings, we in 14a one of if not the strongest districts know how good you are Good Luck and show the other part of our state how strong you are. And to the Viking fans stop arguing with these people action speaks louder than words. GOOD LUCK TO THE VIKINGS AND UC TORNADOES FROM A LIFE LONG HALLS FAN THE WHOLE DISTRICT IS BEHIND YOU !!!!!!

I can't agree, that district is very weak. Halls beat Crockett County by 30 on their floor. Dyersburg plays a weak schedule. Crockett County was demolished by a Haywood team that UC beat this year and Dyersburg was beat by a fair Fayette Ware team so yes I believe UC would have won their old 14AA district.

I'm going with my Tigers always, but win,lose or draw I must say that the additions to or district has made this year great. We surely have gotten our monies worth and seen great athletes. I hope 14a gets the opportunity to show the state what they have missed all season.

I am a Halls fan and will always be but if you are a bball fan it is hard to see anybody from this district go home. There is two much talent. Then we have to play 2 other great teams from region 8. The west has two much talent to be represented by only 2 teams. These boys deserve better.

Maybe maybe not, Halls is a tourney team on a mission. Nobody including Humboldt will look over them. By the way it sounds like your posts concerning Halls now and previously are a little harsh maybe you hold a grudge from previous years. The one thing you and everybody should know is win or lose halls will be even stronger next year plus our beloved coach will be back. We have done wonderful to be here inspite of all the adversities. Our boys are warriors. O

One player can't win a game. You think they will stand there and let him shoot. You also need an inside game, 3 pointers want do it.

Halls beat this middle college team in the district last year and LC beat them on their home court this year. We know these teams you don't . Some of these kids play AAU ball together. So make statements based on facts. By the way Humboldt went to the boro in AA. Nobody in 14A whether playing in the region or not is unfamilar with what it takes to get there we've sent our share there.

How are you coming up with this stuff, what is it. I am proud you have confidence in your squad but your knowledge of the game is warped. You didn't even have a clue to what disrict this is by calling it weak prior to the additions. Records don't mean a thing when you play a junior varsity schedule. It maybe a good game because it's tourney time but like I say you better bring the pain.

To you Greenfield fan , nobody knows Halls better than you. Our boys overcame the lose of a good coach for the season to make it to the region. You and McKenzie better not count them out. We have been here before on several occasions.

Wrong answer remember this is the old 15A district; never been weak. We have sent at least 2 teams to the 'boro since 2000, Halls / South Fulton, Halls/ Greenfield and Trenton who was the fourth placed team in this so called weak district as you say.Trenton went on to be State Runnerup. The thing you need to know that this district was never weak. The thing is we don't mind UC and Humboldt or Trenton. Halls is not complaining nor Lake County we are teams that play a strong schedule outside of the District. Coach Jarrett prides his program with AA and AAA play. You guys better try this, it can only make you stronger. All I can tell you is you better bring the pain. It's ride or die time and 14A knows just that.

Being a former Halls player and now a fan, I know first hand about this rivalry. This is a 30 plus year old rivalry. A healthy rivalry which started years ago. I think both schools have done a good job keeping it burning. May I add that if I had my way we both would go to the ship, it's been a long time coming for you guys. People wouldn't understand this rivalry for we have seen support in our crowds by LC on numerous occasions. So if we can't go then I wish you guys good luck , it will be a battle.
