We have Humboldt and Trenton this week and both should be some excitin ballgames to see..Lake County played sluggish last night against Dresden..Whitby didn't even start 2 of his starters last night with one being my fav Channin..but that is Whitby for ya..heck he may start the cheerleaders tuesday night against humboldt..seriously you never know with him..ask anyone from lake county! but back to the game..should be a good one tues night..better get there early to have a seat cause that place with be packed and it will be rockin! good luck falcon boys!

Lake County wins 65-61..Lake County girls were lucky to win tonight..They had a 9 point lead with about a minute and a half left and went 2 for 10 in the last minute from the free throw line and went 3 for 12 in the 4th quarter alone..Lake County also had a balanced attack on scoring with 4 players in double figures..Sarah Wallace had 17, Renita Kinney had 15, Tarrida Abbott had 14, and Queenie Jordan had 11...Way to go Lake County Girls!!! See ya in West Carroll Monday night!!

I believe Lake County will be ready for this game and if they aren't, well it could be a very long night! Ok here is the bottom line...If Lake County plays like they did against Dresden, Lake County will get run out of the gym and lose by 30 or more. If they play like they did against Halls Friday night, well then we might have a good game to watch. Like Cope said, might pull a stunner on Union City! That is just how it is! It all depends on how we come to play!

Oh my gosh...would you please hush about who has class...you just ate your own words...Our boys were excited about the win..They have been wanting that win for a while and there is nothing like upsetting a big team and especially one that is predicted to beat you by 3 or 4 touchdowns...And as for class..ha don't even get me started with Union City..If I can remember right... last year at the Union City-Lake County game at Trenton in the region semi-finals, I do recall Xavier Robinson taunting our crowd and saying things to them...you think maybe the coach could control his players...Also during halftime, Sisco walked right in front of our crowd and said F you Mf's..yes he did because I saw him and I read his lips..So let's talk about class some more...yeah exactly...I am not the only one who saw him either, so yeah that is so much class and especially from an adult who is also a coach and supposed to show leadership and be a role model...now I think see where everyone gets all their class from over there...wow I think I may cause an uproar over this post..oh well just stating the truth....man you really ate those words right up..huh... GO FALCONS!!

Well I am so proud of you guys...I wish I could have been there and I would have been had I not been on my way to Knoxville..Maybe Tennessee will win too and that will just make the weekend right there...Anyway everyone is so proud of ya'll and we all knew that ya'll could do it...Finally won the big one!! Yeah Boyette's BBQ is the real deal...it is so good...The BBQ sandwich is great along with the BBQ bologna sandwich....the ribs are great too...if you are in the mood for any kind of BBQ, go here...you won't be disappointed...good luck to both teams and may we all stay injury free....go falcons

I think that this will be a very good game and I know that Union City will be rocking come Friday night. That place will be packed. That is all I have heard from Lake County fans around here. Everyone is excited and pumped up and I think mostly looking for a little bit of revenge! If Lake County comes ready to play, it should be a good night for the Falcons. If not, it will be a long ride home. I don't know if it is just me or what, but it just seems like we are intimidated by Union City. Take last year for example in both football and basketball. I don't even have to explain! Hopefully that won't be the case Friday night! I am looking forward to a good night of football! Best of luck to the Falcons!

Yeah that is right Wes. I was a that game and remember quite well. It has been since 1994 that Lake County girls upset 31-0 Gleason right? 1994 keeps coming up somewhere. I think that is when LC beat Gleason in region and went on to second round of state where Oneida beat us. I think that is right. Wes, correct me if I am wrong. That sounds right though. I don't know for sure where the game will be held. We will know for sure tomorrow.

Your exactly right Wes. I don't know how much more I can take. We have had some heart breakers this past week! The only thing to make this even a little bit better is if our girls win sub-state and advance on to sub-state!

What does Madison have? I thought I heard someone say they have a couple big girls. If our girls play like they have been playing, it should be a good one. Our girls are pretty pumped up and ready to go. I hope they are ready! We have had it rough in sports this past week. First both Tennessee men and women lose and then our boys and girls lost two heart breakers and to top it all off, Tennessee men lose to Kentucky. It has been rough for Lake County fans who are also Tennessee fans, which most are! Only good has to come from this and if our girls win, it will make up for all of it! Good luck to your girls also. I don't think you will have much problem with Trinity. I think we beat them in camp this summer by 25 or 30. Who knows though? It's tournament time and I believe we proved that ANYTHING can happen come tourney time! Good luck to LC and Greenfield!

Lake County travels to Jackson Saturday for their first sub-state appearance since 1994 I believe. I might be wrong, but I think that is right. I know it has been a long time! Madison beat Trinity by 20 or so points tonight at Middleton. They have a good outside shooter and a good post player from what I have heard. I don't know much about them though. I can't say who I think will win, but if our girls come out ready to play I think it should be a good game. Best of luck to the Lady Falcons! Does anyone know for sure where this will be played? I think they are trying to get it approved to be held at Parkview Middle School. I also heard Liberty and Jackson State.

We played our hearts out tonight and Lake County wanted it. You can't win them all and someone has to lose. Great job by the Greenfield girls. They fought back and won. It just seemed like out girls lost control in that last quarter and really in the last couple minutes. We shouldn't have blown that big lead, but maybe that will only make us stronger and want to win even more on Saturday. I know our girls were upset, but we are still in this thing. People go on the road to sub-state and pull out with a win. It happens every year. Our girls can do it. They are athletic enough to win a big road game. Keeps your heads high. It's not over just yet! Bring us home a win Saturday and let's go ahead and get ready to pack our bags! Best of luck to the Lady Falcons and also to Greenfield!

Yeah you are right. We both missed way too many easy shots tonights! It was a very good game though and should be ever better Tuesday night! I know both sides will have a huge crowd!

I think everyone is in shock and will be for a while. I never lost faith in our girls though and I knew they could do it. If Lake County would have hit all the easy lay-ups they missed, I bet we would have won by 10 points. We missed way to many easy shots, but we pulled out of it. I am so proud of our girls! They deserve it! Way to go Lady Falcons and let's beat Greenfield and bring sub-state to our house!

I really can't make a prediction on this game. I hope LC wins, but it is going to be a war! When both these teams played in regular season, it was never really a ballgame, because players were out both times when we played each other. During the first match, Justin Clay got into trouble and didn't play and UC won. That was all our boys were talking about that night and that was all that was on their minds. We played horrible that game. The next match Union City was without four of their players and LC won. I know there are no excuses about why either team lost on these nights. We both had to play with what we had and go on. Now it's the real deal and we will just see who the best is Monday night! I know that you better get there early unless you want to be standing, because it's going to be packed on all sides. LC and UC will bring a big crowd as well as Humboldt and Halls. This will be one of the best nights of basketball you will see anywhere. Best of luck to the Falcons!
