  1. "Another" flag on Polk when they run down to SP's 15 with a little over a minute to go. And this was after SP called a timeout, though the announcer said they didn't have any left, and the scoreboard said they didn't have any. Folks, I'm not kidding.......I'm rolling!
  2. Polk 34 - South Pitt 28 SP gets the ball with 4 minutes to go on their end of the field, and they suddenly add more time on the clock. This is getting hilarious.
  3. How many yards offense does Cleveland have?
  4. McMinn's versatile offensive attack may be very effective against Ooltewah, if Cleveland can move it on the Owls that easily. especially with the Athens refs. Already making excuses?
  5. Polk touchdown.......now 34-0. Oops, a late flag?????? Oh well, it is at South Pitt. Polk gets inside the SP 20 with a great run and guess what.......yep, another flag.

  7. Polk touchdown.......now 34-0. Oops, a late flag?????? Oh well, it is at South Pitt.
  8. Halftime Polk Co. - 27 South Pitt - 0 Polk is just lining up and playing smash mouth football, running it right down SP's throat, daring them to try and stop them. Nothing fancy, just some good, hard-nosed physical style of football that apparently SP isn't used to.
  9. I remember you and your hubby having him at Church (Fairview) when he was a little thing. I knew he was going to be athletic back then. Always loved his pretty smile!
  10. Please comment on the South Pittsburg/Polk game....otherwise post on your own thread. Nobody on here cares about the "powerhouse" chargers. Speaking of the Chargers.......Alcoa beat them tonight by about the same score Polk did this season. So if South Pitt is as good as Alcoa, perhaps the Pirates can play with Polk after all.
  11. Well, McMinn Central held Alcoa scoreless the last 45 seconds of the game.....so there is a silver lining.
  12. Ooltewah may get caught looking ahead to their showdown game with McMinn County next week. McMinn is beating Walker Valley 42-7 at the half, and started playing second teamers late in the first halk. After McMinn's 42-15 blowout of Soddy last week, the Cherokees are peaking at the right time. May be quite a ballgame next week in Athens.
  13. Good decision, especially with it being senior night. Has Meigs played better than their results indicate, for anyone who's seen them? There hasn't been nearly as much on here about them as in previous years. For the person asking, and these aren't any big secrets, Sequatchie runs the ball well with several different ball carriers and stops the run well normally. In their last loss they gave up some passing yards but still managed 3 or 4 interceptions, gained 400 yards total but came up short. The last two games, 2 weeks ago they gave up 45 yards for the game then last week allowed 15 yards in the first half. That's good defense no matter the opponents. there have been several games that meigs has played well and just came up short. and as for the not being much on here about them, you know how it goes a couple of loses and everybody jumps off the bandwagon despite the fact that when the boys are losing is when they need the most support I'm somewhat of a Meigs fan and have seen them play 4 times this year. They're not a very good team, and that's being honest. Has nothing at all about being a "bandwagon" fan, it's just about stating facts. Talent and youth certainly play into it, but in my opinion there needs to be more interaction and fire from the head Coach. Regardless, I hope Meigs' wins.......but I don't think they will.
  14. We are beatable but remember Terrell did not play in that game and everybody knows that our offense goes through him cause he can run it or throw it and has made good decesions this year Hey Pirate players, read here what your own fans really think. You don't count.....only Terrell does.
  15. We are beatable but remember Terrell did not play in that game and everybody knows that our offense goes through him cause he can run it or throw it and has made good decesions this year I always thought football was played with 11 on each side? So since he didn't play, no one took his place? Or are you stating that the guy who took his place wasn't any good? Pretty sad indictment from a Pirate fan who thinks it's all about one person.
  16. I think you Pirate fans need a reminder that you CAN be beat. The only place you're invincible is in your heads. Fri Oct. 9 Boyd Buchanan-20 South Pitt-12
  17. Good points, Coach J. I'm even more amazed that the SP fans posting on here think the Pirates are invincible.....especially since they lost a game??? They may very well beat Polk Co., but after watching Polk beat a good McMinn Central team, I'd suggest the Pirate fans not be too confident of a victory.
  18. I agree, ALWAYS support your team! Rhea has lost to some below average teams this year - namely Walker Valley. I know the Eagles aren't devoid of some talent, so what do most Rhea County fans attribute this year to? How are your freshman and JV teams doing? By the way, you have a fine Sheriff in Mike Neal. He's highly respected not only buy the local counties, but also statewide. I hope you folks re-elect him.
  19. McMinn Central's win over Kingston was impressive. Alcoa beat Kingston 49-7, McMinn the following week beat Kingston 47-13. But, I'll take Alcoa 42, McMinn 7 A tornado is nothing but a bunch of hot air. CAK is waiting. Start fearing now!
  20. What kind of year is Jacques Smith having? I don't read too much about him.
  21. Last year after Ooltewah beat them like a rented mule the Admiral fans complained that Ooltewah hit too hard!!!!
  22. too bad you are not playing wilson central Think of it as you will or call it what you want. Rhea County will win tonight. You do know that Rhea County lost to the worst two teams in Bradley County history, don't you?
