  1. http://portal.tssaa.org/common/classification/?schoolYear=2017&sportid=16
  2. So does CCS or Grace make it to the final? I'm going with the minor upset, Grace takes it.
  3. TSSAA has posted brackets!
  4. Guess I should have included my own top 3.....CCS, Greenville and Grace - Knox.
  5. That game was hardly a dominant game, the one goal was on a PK....time will tell for sure but over confidence has been the downfall of many teams. There are 5 more games for the eventual state champion yet, better to let the teams decide on the field than to yap on this board about how good a team is. So who are your top 3 teams in the A/AA?
  6. Have you seen CCS play this year, unless you have its hard to make a statement using last year as a reference. Last year CAK made the tournament also, enough said.
  7. However their loss was to CCS who dominated the game 3-1. CCS has one of the best back lines in A/AA and will be a huge obstacle to a repeat.
  8. This should generate some good talk at the water cooler. Numerous teams from the state are competing this weekend. Looks like 9 different divisions in the tournament plus 2 JV brackets. A rematch of the 2015 A/AA State Championship game is on the schedule for Saturday.
  9. Final 6-0. The tournament of officially on!!! CAK with a commanding lead!!!
  10. 5-0 Greeneville v Notre Dame and 2-0 CAK vs Lexington
  11. Greeneville up 4-0 first half
  12. So CoachT members. Need help from group. Does anyone know a field a team could use this afternoon to loosen up - light work in Murfreesboro? Contact and phone number would be appreciated.
  13. Thoughts? https://www.eurosportscoreboard.com/page_state.php?s=TN
  14. and no....I'm not a homer or even ever been to Spring Hill
  15. This happens every year and the same responses back. It happens due to severe mismatches in conference games, teams have to play other teams and you might as well have a D1 U16 team playing a D3 U10 team. Teams have 11 players (or less) and majority of players who can't trap much less pass a ball. These teams are located in rural areas of the state without the big $ of the clubs that players can attend. So what does a coach from dominate school do? His team scores 5 goals in a minute, 17 goals is probably still with the brakes on. The coach can sit his starters for all these games, the starters get NO field work and then they play a competitive game and they haven't played for a week. You put your JV players in, they are pumped to just be in the game. You put a 10 pass restruction - you put a header only restriction. Restrictions against a weak opponent have lead to more than one vicious foul as players get embarrassed. There are few restrictions that go into play that are not obvious and insulting to the other team. There is no easy answer - its easy to sit back and say "this coach should be ashamed" but offer a good solution when there are teams that will face 7-10 of these games in a season. Mercy rule? Great idea but the girls on the rural and county teams want to play - very few want to play 15 minutes get behind 10-0 and go home. I've seen home teams not put goals on the scoreboard to make it not look so bad (but they have to report real scores) - honestly....its a problem but its not so simple an answer.
  16. Anyone have any idea why the KC v CAK game is listed as a 3 P kick? Can we get score updates from anyone there?
  17. Halftime, score knotted at 1-1 in CAK / Greeneville
  18. In the 9th minute Greeneville evens it at 1-1
  19. CAK out to an early 1-0 lead over Greeneville in the opening minutes.
  20. First game is in the books. Greeneville 10-0
  21. Greeneville up 7-0 20 minutes left in game. McNairy is playing 2 women down due to Red Cards.
