Any predictions for the lady lions for the district tourney? Go Lions!!

lol...Butchie....we got our eye on anyone's third string players...especially if they can run faster than a 6 in the 40. we get all them studs out of COMO. we have a ton of 6 foot 4 in kids runnin around the halls with no heart to play the game. But, our little guys are working hard and hopefully we can play fast next year. Been a good offseason so far. as long as they all pass their classes we should be able to compete. Can't wait to see if the hoopla about that quarterback going there makes the rebels better. never heard of competition being a bad thing.

McKenzie outlook......Pain....hahaha JK. McKenzie is at the top of the hill again. Hate to admit it, but great depth there and coaching. Crappy fans...lol. jk. I think the mustangs are still good because they have a brutal oline. Riverside can be dangerous. There is some speed other teams. Greenfield .......no comment.....they cry when hearing the truth. Gleason plays great football for the talent they have. Dresden ..... i'm a homer, so I will just say we will be ready to play. I hope that tall kid does start at Mckenzie......bigger target to hit. lol. We won't be big next year....so at least we won't hear the slow comments. We still may be ugly.....but in a cute way. hahaha. Can't wait for football season. Makes my day hearing how greenfield is going to turn it around and compete. lol. better get those paper bags ready for that crowd. jk. really..but its so easy to get you upset. haha

Now come on....I know the o coordinator is a little hair challenged at Dresden, but he is from Bruceton. The other coaches from Dresden have had success and aren't the worst....but maybe are a little hair challenged also. The head coach has a full set of hair which automatically puts him above the rest. Maybe the coaches here do stink, but we have the best kids in the state and they make up for all the other shortcomings. lol. We look forward to showing our best next year and one thing you can count on is we will hustle and hit. This team is working their tails off and I for one think the fact that Dresden grads want to teach and coach there says what a great school and community we have. Small town politics is everywhere. We will compete next year and our boys will unleash the Lion's Rage on opponents. Growl...hahahaha. Proud to be at Dresden......Go Lions! By the way...if westview has any other back ups who want to switch.........were closer.....hahahaha just kiddin.....kinda....well .....not really. We are Dresden....we take anyone! lol.

Well, I enjoy the arguements. Great points and all, but I have a ton of faith in the coach, players and team here and believe this program is on the rise. Guess I'm excited about next season and felt like hearing the other side of the fence. I do believe you will be impressed with the progress Dresden makes this coming season. But, I also like to see naysayers. Its motivation for the kids. Keep it coming. Go Lions!!!

D town is already working hard to replace seniors. Lineman will be small, but strong and o line is looking fast and deadly. Best throwing quarterback in the district plus many returning receivers spell doom for defenses next year. Looking everywhere to replace 44 at F. Kids working their behinds off in weight room and speed work. Kids have a great attitude and leadership so far and if this keeps up there will be no excuses next year for the garbage games like Halls and Riverside. Wish we could fast forward to next Fall already. We are looking to up our game to the Mckenzie and mustang level next year. Hopefully we can send more than two teams to the playoffs in our little part of the world. Congrats to Union City and Mckenzie for showing this is football country out here in the sticks. Watch out for the Lions next year. Football is back in Dresen! Go Lions. Congrats to Basketball teams for beating West Carroll last night.

Jackson county has a good young team. #6 and #84 were great. We hope the injured player that went off on the stretcher is okay. Classy group at Jackson County. Put on a great bowl game. Dresden was lucky to be invited. Jolly was outstanding, seniors were awesome. QB offensive player of game, jolly mvp of game, trophy for winning and shirts and free food. Seven wins and all this was better for this program because this year it was the only way to end on a winning note in postseason. Now, if we can get a few lineman to step up next year and a running back we will look to improve. We will take hand-me-downs.....mckenzie, huntindon, westview??? got any second string guys who want to play lol. just kiddin. Looking forward to next year.

The mighty lions had their chance against riverside and halls. We failed. Lesson learned for the future. We are happy to be playing another game. We are thrilled to have a chance at win number 7. Day game will be something new....kind of a college feel. Looking forward to seeing the boys of dresden suit up one more time. We will be small next year and as we've been told....slow. I think we will surprise a few people just how good this team will be next year. Good luck other West Tennessee teams....yes, even you McKenzie. lol. Our 2a district rivals. We will get you some time in the next 10 years. lol. Go Lions!!

We are happy to play one more game. This should be exciting for this senior class to play their first post-regular season game in their high school careers. I believe it will be a good chance for both teams to get more film on their seniors and hopefully send a few off to college to continue. This is also a good chance for extra practice for the returning players who want to give hope to the fans for next year. I can't wait to see this game. Reminds me of playing football on Saturday afternoons in college, the long bus rides, and the chance to spend time with the guys you go to war with every friday. I hope the seniors realize how lucky they are to get the chance to play one more game. Go Lions. Lets open that can of whoop butt one more time to set the stage for our basketball team's run to a district title!

Well, dresden would of loved to play another game, but on the good side....we won our last game. Woohoo. Now we can watch McKenzie underperform in the playoffs again. life is good! Next year I guess we won't have to hear how big and slow we are. We will just be slow. Easy for a slow team to sneak up on all these medium sized fast teams. lol Go Huntindon....bring home the championship. Watch out for them Westview Chargers sneaking up on a few teams. have to put up the Rebel hating hate til next fall, but it fits so well.

So if you know any lineman who want to play next year, send them to dresden....were short a few thousand pounds. lol

Great year Lions. Too bad we beat ourselves in riverside and halls. Great way to finish the year. Seniors really stepped up against the bullfrogs. I wish we had one more game. Lookout has no chance! They should just stay home and save themselves the beating. I can't believe they actually think they have a chance against the big boys. They won't even score a touchdown. We will destroy them.

Dresden wins this game because its in the Lion's Den, the offensive line is 100% healthy and after the week off they are hungry for some meat, they are stronger on both sides of the ball, and finally......because all of Gleason can fill up those 10 visitor seats on the other side and they still won't measure up to our 30 seats!!! lol I truly don't think after watching them against scotts hill they don't have a chance to stop the spread offense. Scotts hill has a good quarterback with crappy receivers. Dresden is loaded with receivers who will catch the ball and we have the best throwing qb in the district. We also have the den...our loveable mud pit. hahaha. Put that along with two great coordinators and Dr. of Football, coach Hewett....what could go wrong?!? The Lions are coming off a big win which on film showed a 21-9 score, but the ref standing 8 yds away staring at the knee and then the ball being stretched out hitting the ground before coming loose didn't see...., and with the the abundant depth at our giant town, we are coming in hungry after two years of getting are butts kicked. These seniors finally have a chance to show their heart to the community and I'm glad the game is just before Holloween, because they are a scary group! All kiddin aside......44, 11, 73, 78, 65, 70, 34, 7, 59, 32, and the other seniors have a chance to put Dresden back in the playoffs after two embarrassing years.....they are ready to step it up. No turnovers, no stupid penalties (are there any other kind?), coach preparation, and a big home crowd equal a big night for the Lions!

Sadly, the majority of the refs come from Carroll County. Just the luck of the draw. The head official was there last night and hopefully he has a new rules meeting and requires eye checks. This game and the Bruceton game had the worst refs ever put on the field. The linesman ignored Dresden receivers when asked if they were on the line. Made this a much closer game than it was. Our officials in Dresden may not be high strung, inform the world folks, but they are professional and outstanding within the community and will bend over backwards to help the kids there succeed. No, I'm not one. lol. Dresden has a small town charm which some people love and I hope it stays that way.

What a physical game. Dresden's defense came to play and Dresden pounded away at a very good West Carroll team until they broke down. Dresden didn't turn over the ball like last week and if they keep that up, they have a chance to win. West Carroll is a very talented football team. Dresden can't get a big head with another tough team coming into the Lion's Den in Two weeks. Go Lions!!

Dresden will win. They will quit turning over the ball. THey will practice better. They will quit making excuses like the weather or refs. They will figure out that if they practice like crap they will play like crap and their coaches will fix the errors and Win the biggest game they have had in three years. Go LIONS!!

best team dresden has seen all year. Best offensive line coach I've seen. What an awesome offensive team. Two backs who take a little hole and make it look huge. Very impressed. Dresden was prepared and refs were good. No excuses, just got our butts kicked. Huntin should put a big time whoopin on mckenzie if the refs don't get involved. Looking forward to that game.

Huntin wins by 21. Too much o-line and running backs for camden to contain. Should be a close first half, but after the UC game I predict hunt. will cruise til the semifinals.

Dresden football is back. Travel down to Halls to watch two exciting teams strap it up and play under the lights. There should be a lot of hitting. Dresden's passing game looks to fly high this weekend under the guidance of the offensive guru. He is probably up at this moment shuffling through his playbook thinking and re-thinking his strategy for the first series against a strong Halls defense. Let the chess game begin. Go Lions! Play your hearts out!!

Dresden needs to focus this week and execute on both sides of the ball. This is the time of year where a team either gets better every day or starts being content at practice. Dresden needs to push themselves and the senior leadership needs to step up. Halls is a good team and I hope Dresden brings their best game. Receivers need to catch the ball. Players need to ignore the refs and play through bad calls. 44 needs to get more carries. When dresden learns to control the clock with a running game they will be more dangerous on offense. Dresden is well prepared for this game. They have been sharpening the claws all week. Even with #65 playing at nosegaurd, we will find a way to stop Bruceton all night. Sorry 65, I saw you breathing hard just walking into the all-you-can-eat buffet. Look for a dominating night from the linebackers from Dresden. They are ready to roar. Dresden's quarterback keeps getting better, and moving the other quarterback gives Dresden another weapon to attack. 44 looks like a torpedo racing through that chunky o-line. I even think that skinny 24 had a catch or two. Throw in that puny little receiver that caught the long pass for a td last week and it seems Dresden is trading for extra talent midseason. As long as Dresden remembers their snap count, they should open up a can on Bruceton. Just a hunch....but 45-13 at half. Go Lions!! I know your breathing hard now from reading this much 65, but consider it extra conditioning.

McKenzie by 30. Should be close for a half, but Mckenzie's big runner is an outstanding 4th quarter rusher and special teams will be big again for the rebels. I kind of like the smell of the pig farm. lol It beats the dog food factory smell, but I kinda like that too. Must be a Dresden thing. Good luck to both teams. Go Lions!!
