  1. Didn't Alcoa beat CAK week ago Thursday ? Kinda weird you'd want to do that again so soon , let alone LATER . Just occured to me reading this blather - again - , Alcoa STILL ! ain't beat POLK ! I doubt Team < , Alcoa is as wondering of Polk as FANS Alcoa is.
  2. Hmmmmm. Just wondering ,seriously too. As an Alcoa fan or player or coach , who would you rank as your competition during regular season , ya know ,#1 , #2, #3 ,etc. ? Not trying to be smart here either. And who are the blowouts ?
  3. May have came off different than I meant. I'm confident of Polk's preparation , coaching , etc. I surely don't think CAK will give anything away.Hammer down on going for another school record. Polk has set a few this season also. That just gives the boys coming up more pride in their programs ,more to shoot for. No,haven't read a whole lot of ALL the threads on here. My eyes were opened somewhat Thursday ,week ago . Perfect matchup . Ditto on the four quarters . And Alcoa , imo , my analogy is : they are the Yankees of 3a - I love to >hate< em ,lol. Now one of us needs to beat 'em. Case Kalosed.
  4. heh heh heh . But I LIKE it like that !
  5. ? ? ? ? McMinn Central ? Of McMinn County Tennessee ? ? ? 2010 even ? Wow.I have NOT paid attention. My question is - whatwhenhowwhohuhheyawhereintheHEdoublehockeystickswasI ?
  6. THATS what I was thinkin' ! The fans tho, thats the thing. On any Friday, anything can happen. Things get given, things get taken away. Or, vice versa. They aren't boogeymen , or bad,or big. Another team that we need to prep for.One thing I know is our boys don't buy that head game crap no more. Its more like ,lets git on the field and duke it out. Best team that night ,that time, wins. There ain't no past,no future, its just now. I picture players walking OFF the field wondering what just happened , ,and they won't be wearing red.OR white. How many times I could hear the air go out of a team on the opposing sideline ,,,
  7. Well, seein' how yer new, lemme 'splain sumpin'.Our oldest boy played a little (<) like about 2000-couple a years either way.Little league and such.I remember Polk not having size OR numbers.People heard Polk - and wrote the W down for that game. Then, things changed. The little league turned it around, thanks to a GREAT bunch of parents, coaches, and league office people.AND,thanks to Mr. Larry Davis and of course his son,Derrick, and the assistants,-all great guys, the high school team is a completely different - animal - ,as they like to say.An' now,our-little - one,6'4" , 230 + ,is a senior. Respect ? Hmmm, lemme count the ways as they say. Too many to list. Duck and cover is a fave of mine. The -Pirate rule,- negated one year, completely turned around on 'em the next .10 an' 0. Shut outs, teams baling because they've been beat, year after year. One thing I hear alot now adays is -Polk s got a good team,Polk will win,Polk hits HARD. Been that way fer a while.Keeps gettin' better too.Polk don't need to -GAIN - respect. They have THAT ! It s just that some teams ain't LEARNED respect. But,that will come.
  8. Hmmmmm. Footballdad. I - < -, took the missus up there to Alcoa and we watched ya'll play Thursday, week ago.Just wondering, are you bringing the wifey BACK from the mountains ? , lol.Just kiddin' .Yes , agreed , I have been wanting to see this game for quite some time . From what we saw the air attack was working good . Seemed to me drawing the coverage was leaving a wide open field for your QB to run at will. If he could have connected with the dropped passes I think ya'll would have took that one. What was the final score there ? We left about halfway thru the fourth, think Alcoa was up by 16.I had been hearing about Alcoa and CAK for some time and the opportunity to see the two of you at the same time couldn't be passed up.Seeing CAK hold 'em to 3 on the first series was interesting too. Now can you help a brother out with the easy way to ya'll 's field ?
  9. Powerp, dude, they ain't much hap-nin' down yonder.Come on up and enjoy the atmosphere.Radio won't do no good.Ya know ya want to see it one more time. And its a nice ride from the country to the country and back again. See ya there.I'll even git yer water fer the hot cocoa.
  10. Yeh ,what is this ? The danged -INSIDERS -,get INSIDE before the paying public.Dang scam I tell ya.Been tempted to take all that baggage and throw it over the edge.YOU DON'T HAVE FREAKING SEATS AT A GENERAL ADMISSION EVENT.I DON'T GIVE A RAT'S A@# WHAT TIME YOU HAD THEM -RESERVED -.! THIS AIN'T MANDY-PANDY LAND YOU FREAKING JACKWAGONS !!!!!!! Wake up and smell the freaking coffee, cripes a-mighty. P.S. ,lemme know if ya need a hand with the livestock,,,,,bless thar souls.
  11. Dang if that ain't some HEM (orroid ) ingway worthy prose ! I chuckled throughout the reading of this tidbit. Excellent is too small a woid (<) ? Thank you so much for expanding my mind (?) . Never thought this could happen in the eastern part of Tennessee, let alone the world ! ( Or is that the other way around ?) LMAO ,religion is gonna KILL us.
  12. Haw haw ,Yeehaw. YES ! , Sweetwater 'Cats, stick it to 'em !. Kick gouge bite, whatever.Pick one and wear 'em out.Almost hate them as much as the Yankees, lol. 'Cats -kill.
  13. Ain't no horns blowin' out here dude. The big RED TRAIN JUS' RRRROOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLSSSS ,,,ova ya a@# !
  14. Ooltewah ? Ain't this 2010 ? And Baylor ? Polk pushed them around in a scrimmage a few years ago ? I'm just sayin' ,
  15. One word,,,, ( but I'm feelin' the love,,, )
  16. CASE CAAAAAAAA LLLLLLOOOOOOSSSSSSSEEEEEEEDDDDDD !
  17. Gotta love you man. Lol. A high five there,,,,,,,
  18. Ow. I don't like yer prediction, and won't buy it ,I AM a Polk fan, case ya didn't notice. It is what it is,as they say. Polk loads the firebox and it'll be a Red train -Ram train wreck , with Polk's nose on top.
  19. Whoa , whoa , whoa, dude.Don't get yer panties inna wad.CAK took it to ya s Thursday night. Held to three on the first series? After going all the way down the field ? Impressive ! -for CAK. CAK's QB running all up the middle,Jared Allen would LOVE that. And if you want to call turnovers legit - beating - a team ,yeh,I can agree with that.Only to a point tho.Bradley game would a been a loss for them without turnovers.BC didn't come in with the rose colored glasses of '09. Think mebbe the toronotoes might fall fer that ?.And yeh,I was there. Also,I would love to see the ( woo-woo ) - dragon, git POLKED. ( May need to change that handle to - dust devil, heh heh,or light breeze? ) You are right in one aspect -fearing CAK, more so than Alcoa.
  20. Yeah and BC only beat Walker Valley by 7 and we beat them 49-14 those 14 points came against the jv. The facts are that was 10 weeks ago. We just want to play yall to see what the champs are like on the field. Until someone beats yall you can talk all the smack you want because you have won 6 in a row.
  21. Oh,sorry.I thought you were talking about speed ON the field.Polk ran and threw against S.P. 's defense.S.P. 's offense really wasn't ON the field long enough to see that speed. And no,I haven't seen Tyner.Naw,didn't think you were saying anything about Polks ability, Just can't understand all the claims about speed.A Corvette is fast, but it has to be running and ON the road to see it.Eb and flow a the game will decide where speed comes in to play.Looking forward to a great contest.
  22. Yep,you're right. We saw S.P. SPEED their OFFENSE off the field , and RUSH their DEFENSE on the field quite a bit a week ago.I still can't figure out how speed works when its standing on the sideline.
  23. Heh , heh , heh. Tell us how you REAllY feel ! I haven't been following all this playoff stuff for too long. Does seem like the heat is coming early this year. Sure would like to see us going to CAK. And if the road goes thru Alcoa,so be it. ( To state ? ,but then ,mebbe CAK ? heh ,heh.) The way the smack talkers - talk (<? ) ,its like Polk is s'posed to wilt at the mere mention of their name. That won't be a factor tho.Tyner games were always a good one.Came close one year I remember.Sorta reminded me of S. P. ,when we put the shockazuloo on Tyner and made 'em work for it.
  24. 'Nuther thing. Think it was the SECOND round we went out last year.Polk plays Loudon in little league.Has for years. When I was helping out,we looked forward to that game because at the time they were the big dogs, the best ( < ? ) competition.Polk won the championship more than once in different age groups too.Course it changes at the high school level. Some a the same, some new. Loudon just started out cramming it down our throat and kept on hammering. 'Nuther year now. We'll have to see who has their heads on right. Sure would like to see Tyner again too. That was good competition .Good program. You think I'm jokin,,,,but I ain't,,,,,,,,Lol,,,,,,( I had ta throw that in there ,lol )
  25. Awright, awright,AWRIGHT !!! Me an' the missus went up Thursday and saw the droids against the droids at Alcoa. All that blather was pretty much blather. What I saw was two well matched teams. As in other well matched contests, one team shot their foot.I saw defending going to the air was a problem for Alcoa. And the first series = going down the field for a field goal.Yep Alcoa's back is a beast.CAK's QB was very adept at running down the filed by the HUGE open field as the D was drawn into coverage.VERY eye opening there,if you need one.He was eating 'em UP.Polk can play these guys. That intimidating thing is awright.Ain't like they ain't ever seen/heard it before - AND overcome it. Alcoa's wondering what a game with Polk would be like too. They just don't know yet,do they?
