  1. Get ready Red Bank or Blue Bank, heck what ever your color is, Gibbs is coming with something special. Lets just say it's 99% power of any thing you want it to be. Fast, slow, black, white, athletic or nonathletic. This team will hit and they have no quit and something new. GET READY FOR POWER FOOTBALL
  2. What really hurts is at the first of the season the kids were told to win there district and win the games against the team in your division. The more of these games you win the better seeding you will get. We thought we did that and when it came down, the people making the decision just looked at the records of these teams and seeded them. They didn't care who played who and how hard one district was compared to another district. They wanted to make a big deal about this, "this is going to be great" and it could have been, but the TSSAA showed how lazy they are. They had no idea what it takes to pull something like this off. If I could meet with the Tssaa I would like to ask them how in the world do you come up with Gibbs being a 7th seed and a team they beat a 3rd seed , with that 3rd seed (Claiborne)getting run over by Greenville the night before the seedings were released. The Tssaa not doing there homework on teams and being lazy is why this system is a joke. Someone needs to be accountable for what has happen. If tenn. high school football is going to take the next step forward and improve the quality of football in TN. Then there needs to be changes in the TSSAA administration. I know this is extreme, but I and I hpoe you can not tolerate someone being lazy.
  3. Gibbs to Red Bank------124 miles....that makes about as much sense as Gibbs being a 7th seed and a team they beat being 3rd seed. (Claiborne). I was fire up and ready for Saturday, but when it all went down I could tell this was a joke. Knoxville must have known because no radio staition covered the broadcast. T in TSSAA does not stand for TEXAS
  4. will it help, do you know what is going on
  5. keep the pressure on. Apology................no
  6. This format is nuts. The master mind behind this never played sports, was the last one picked in playing a game. I think they never even looked at the head to head games and compared them to other teams. The tssaa just look at the records and seeded them, without taking in account how hard your district or region was. Do these people get paid to do this?...........if so they need to be fired.
  7. They said they have been working on this format for 3yrs. It sure didn't show Saturday morning. They made way too many mistakes. They didn't do there home work on teams outside of the middle TN. area. How can TEAM A beat TEAM B and TEAM C beat TEAM A. Then they seeded them in there quad like this. TEAM B------3 SEED record (8-2) very weak dist. TEAM C------4 SEED record (7-3) very hard dist. TEAM A------7 SEED record (6-4) same dist. as TEAM C and your reward is too travel 2 hours. Then play the number 1 team. as you can see this is just one mistake of many. They (TSSAA) been working on this format longer then a day. Your apology needs to go to the kids who have worked alot harder on the field and in the classroom then you (tssaa) did. This format is something that takes alot of time to get it right. DO YOUR HOME WORK and stop taking the easy way out. ( just seed them by record, because I need to get home)..........TAKE THE TIME TO DO IT RIGHT OR STAY HOME. Maybe we need to seed you guys (tssaa) on your performance. Looking at the TSSAA record this year (0-10) SORRY guys you did not make the playoff. I'll stand up and say I'm sorry. I'll be the bigger man and say sorry, you (tssaa) have no idea how much work outside of the Nashville area there is. STOP TAKING THE EASY ROAD. I will not accept your apology, too many mistakes. Do things 1st class and build it to last.
  8. I agree it's time Gibbs grow up and start playing with the big boys. Gibbs needs to come out and play hard, stop the big plays and controll the clock.
  9. This is going to be a good game. I know Gibbs is getting no respect, respect has to be earned. Fulton has respect, but I feel like the players at Gibbs are looking forward to play someone with the respect Fulton has. This game will not be a walk in the park for Fulton. Fulton will have to show up and play a good game. No way Fulton runs away with this game. Gibbs will hold there own and this game will be close. Gibbs win and earn a little respect.
  10. That's OK whatever the falcons need to take from God's country. The only problem is where will they put them. I don't think they will fit between the houses or on the train. I applaud your effort, but you need to go back to the drawing board. You're not that funny. However, we are excited to be able to play over there in God's country. Coatney just this week talked to the boys on how to act in such a holy place… like Gibbs. He’s passed out the WWJD bracelets and will have them confess all their sins before stepping an inner-city toe on God’s field. After watching film and preaching from the gospel Buck convinced the team that “Big G” on the fifty yardline stood for “God’s Country”. Although Fulton boys might not be as pure as God’s Gibblets, we promise to be on our best behavior. Based on prior comments and other concerns, we promise not to steal your single wide homes, tip your cattle, or permanently borrow your audio equipment. We promise not to call the ref "Honky" after a missed call or ask your daughters to prom. And when someone offers us beef jerky or homemade porkrines, we’ll just smile and say no thank you. Kinda like when the pilgrims took a chance and invited the natives to Thanksgiving… we are truly humbled by your willingness to be allowed to play football with you on Friday night. God Bless & Go Falcons! man you can dish it out, but can't take it. I will say it made me smile, because you just showed me how life is just so simple up here. The air smells better and things just look better. Oh!!! I almost forgot your welcome. Watch out for those cow padies and we promise not to have any sink holes in field.

  12. I find it funny that someone from Fulton would talk about the spirit of the Gibbs Eagles. The only school spirit the falcons have come from their 70s and 80s old timers. Maybe they are spiking the sweet tea at McDs. This is what I think Gibbs is headed in the right direction and the falcons are grabbag, you never know who is going to show up. This friday is cow tipping time in Corryton, so all the falcon faithful go grab your sweet tea from McDs, go tell your neighbors that live 3ft on both sides of you that the 3 o'clock train from the L & N depot is about to leave. Then run down the alley behind your shotgun house, grab the train and you heffers come on up. good luck to both team and stay safe. Both Gibbs and the Fulton fan base will be praying for you.
  13. veerman...... please no more OT!!!!!!!! PLEEEEAAAAASE.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck this Friday and tell those keep on keeping on boys to stay safe.
  14. CG will throw the ball all over field. If Gibbs can pressure the QB he will throw it to anybody, I've seen it. Sometimes he looks like an all-american and then sometimes he looks like a regular high school QB. If it rains this will hurt CG more then Gibbs. I think this will be a good game, with the never say die Eagles winning by 20.
  15. hey bigmomma15 why would you say #5 is better than #8 or #12. The coaches know who is better. He (#8) has done a good job all year, he had a bad game verses a good D, with bad weather. I would think he was't to happy with his play either and that might be why he had an attitude. I believe in what I see and I don't think any of the QBs played well, It's just #8 was out there the longest to make more mistakes. (remember good D, bad weather)
