  1. Well, it looks like one of my son's teammates has decided to use my account on here and make me look like an idiot. lol The real football"mom" gave up coacht after congratulating Alcoa on their win against Loudon at the 3rd round. I have better punctuation and grammar than has been shown over the last few posts, and by the way, I do not drink wine! lol Congrats Tornados I knew you would bring another gold ball home to D4!
  2. Im wondering how a game between loudon and milan would go? i watched it on tv and it looks like loudon was alot more physical up front... i want some honest oppions.
  3. OK....so its looking like Loudon's Defense was MUCH better than Milan's up front! and we didnt stop em from winning....hmmmmmmm...... Wish we could have gotten the chance to play Milan!
  4. wow LOL....thanks for the compliments no matter the form! I have read 3 pages on this going back and forth. Its rather amusing! Loudon DID "hold" them 7-3 going into the 4th, our defense gets credit for that, they are awsome and I dont think anyone should take that away from them.... no team scored more than 24 pts on them all season and that was CAK early, like our 3rd game..(alcoa wasnt able to score more that 21 either time). But I think no matter how entertaining it is, its time to drop it and move on.....its kinda the same argument in different colors dont ya think?
  5. thank you mom, tornado, and BC.....and for u Hufstedler, someone correct me if I am wrong, but "stats" showed Loudon's Defense #2 FOR 3A, (Milan #1) before the semi-finals against Alcoa..(MAKES YOU LOOK KINDA "UN-EDUCATED" TOO HUFFY)....so yeah, I could see Loudon giving Milan a run for the money Maybe one of these days they will get the chance! But they are gonna have to beat Alcoa first, and do I see Milan beating Alcoa? thats a GINORMOUS "N"O"! BLOW 'EM AWAY F5!!!
  6. Not being ugly by saying this at all, and i am sure that anyone who saw the quarterfinals and were willing to be honest about it.....Loudon only lost because of one issue....DEPTH. Our boys gave it ALL they had and then some. IMO... If they hadn't ran out of steam, (because of the small size of the team, 5 players start both ways), and if Loudons offense had been a little more on their game that night, I think Loudon would have walked away winners. It seemed obvious that our defense was too much for Alcoas running game, and the passing game???????.....well..... it was also obvious that going into the 4th quarter 7-3 was a good indicator that Alcoa didnt "pound the rock" that night. You can say what you want, that we are crying...whining...whatever. But it is only because you know you came very close to losing to a team that until this point you have given very little credit. Now stop talking about the past and get ready for next week! Good Luck at State
  7. Congratulations Alcoa!!!!!!!! No doubts you would pull this one off. You will once again take D4 to state And congrats to JaRon for getting the record, that must feel amazing! I know the redskins are very proud to have been the only team to hold you guys to 7 going into the 4th this season... Good luck in Cookeville!!!!! We are pulling for you
  8. lol!!!! OK...OK...OK! Please accept my apology for stirring this up! I was wrong about the facemask...as a woman i am willing to admit that...and I was only pointing out what I was told by what I thought was a reliable source. And the coach to coach comment did happen in the pressbox i was also told. I never stated anything factual, only my opinion. I was mistaken in thinking it was ok to "vent" on here. I do think TSSAA officials need to attend some type of training though I could quote several of u alcoa fans dogging the officials when u played CAK, but i wont. I also said that i didnt want to take anything away from alcoa or toney. so please dont take my post the wrong way......too much wine and really tired when my husband showed me the paper and "someone" told me about the coaching incident. Like most women I know...I wish I could retract my previous post, what I said, all my whining, but I cant so please accept this apology???? congrats again to JaRon and the Tornados. Now go win state for our district! PS....JaRon got the TDs fair ad square, our boys ran out of steam and he was too fast and evasive for them to stop. And for the record, I am not trying to make excuses nor trying to find something to complain about. Doesnt seem like Dfan or Alcoafan read my previous posts congratulating alcoa or bragging on how nice the players were at shoneys.
  9. has anyone seen the photo in todays knoxville news sentinel on PX3...?????????? Now I am not trying to take away anything from Alcoa, but this is a fine example of how the TSSAA needs to do something about the officials they hire for these games! In this picture, the caption reads "Alcoas JaRon Toney stiff-arms Loudon defender Dejay Johnson" and you can CLEARLY see that Toneys thumb was hooked in Dejays facemask!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was just ONE of SEVERAL "missed calls" and to see it captured on camera and posted in the paper!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Holy cow it is unbelieveable! It was also brought to my attn that a coach from Alcoa approached Loudons coaching staff and asked that they "ALLOW TONEY ONE MORE TD SO HE CAN BREAK THE RECORD"??????????? That is also unbelieveable! Toney got his record, and Alcoa got their win.....for both I am happy for them. But I wanted to share this with everyone that reads this board. We lost, end of story, but wow....thats really all i can say at this point. Its disappointing.
  10. thank you BC I am extremely proud of him as well as the rest of "my boys" on the team! Cory played last night with an injured shoulder, talk about determination...lol. he had shoulder surgery at the end of last season for a torn labrium and torn bicep.....looks like he re-injured it against Bledsoe and we will find out monday how badly. I pray he doesnt have to have to have surgery again!
  11. congrats to the Tornados!! It was a great game and i barely sat down. I have never been prouder of our boys than I was tonight!! My son and I had the opportunity to congratulate Tyler Robinson (sp?) along with several other tornados at Shoneys after the game, and I was very impressed with them. Very good sportsmanship at that table!! And on their way out, Tyler stopped and said goodbye to my son (for those of u that havent figured it out yet my son is OL/DL #69 Cory Lawson). Tyler also congratulated him on a good game. Tonight was a very emotional ending to a wonderful season for our redskins. So now I will say that I am cheering for Alcoa to go on and get another state title for our district! Play hard and stay safe! And thanks for the kind words Tornadogold
  12. thank you Fiftyishfootballmom! I hope you know that was only directed to a "few" and certainly not to you! I have always admired yours...as well as many others sportsmanship on here Only a few hours til kickoff! See you there Go Big Red!
  13. Can't go by "schedules & scores" when you don't know underlying factors. Loudon doesn't get the advantage of a shortened 1st quarter tonight. Both teams have gotten better during the season (what team hasn't?). Loudon may come in thinking they can win because of the win last week, but as said earlier: "Polk is no Alcoa". Alcoa rolls in this one! I don't recall seeing anyone say "Polk IS an Alcoa"?? We will see who "rolls" becuz I dont see either team "rolling" anywhere! I sincerely hope that those Alcoa fans 9u know who u are), that have so little respect for Loudon, walk away tonight with a lot more than they arrived with! Win or lose these redskins deserve that from you and I think they are coming prepared to earn it! And in Polks defense...they had an awesome season! up until last week, they were undefeated...just like you. I think that the Polk fans have every right to boast and be proud of their team! Just as Alcoa does. . . . so maybe in comparison Polk cannot compare to Alcoa.......but let it rest! It amazes me to see how many of you get on here and dog a team instead of congratulating them on a great season. Try to remember...whether u are a parent of a player, a player, or just a fan.....ANY TEAM CAN LOSE AT ANY GIVEN TIME........it's NEVER IF....BUT WHEN! You may be big...but there is Always someone bigger. off my soapbox now I just hate seeing all the sour sportsmanship on here.
  14. thank you for having a little faith in Loudon SEC! I know from talking to some of the redskin boys, including my son, that they are not going down without a fight this time! Loudon has always let the F5 intimidate them in the past. But IMO what is going to surprise everyone is the fearless determintation the redskins are taking into this game with them. I am praying for a safe ballgame, with no serious injuries, although I know its going to be a hard hitting game. I know that a few of the redskins are playing tonight with injuries, I just hope it doesnt hinder their determination At any rate, I am looking forward to watching a great ballgame tonight! Big crowd, fun atmosphere. Good luck to all! GO BIG RED!!
