LCHS has a solid defense all around. They really run to the ball. Could be the best defense I have seen at LCHS in a long time! Against GC they gave up one long pass and I think that is pretty much all they got. I can't find GC's stats. How does LC look this year? Are they better than last years bunch? Is Thomas helping with the team this year?

I sure wouldn't say LCHS is "coming off a big upset over the Bobcats"! Now if Lincoln County had won against Blackman that would be a big upset! When LCHS beat LC last year 45-6 was that an upset? If that was an upset last year I predict an upset again this year! Is it true LC has some players suspended? I have heard this but was just wondering if it were true.

You are right old man. I shouldn't have given the "T" all the scoring credit! #9 is indeed a stud, been a long time since LCHS has had the best athlete on the field. The "L" statement is a bold one even for the LCHS fans. We have a tough schedule and if we do make the playoffs they will toss us in the west. Your team showed a lot of class tonight in defeat! Kudos for know all to well how to win(a bunch) and lose with class. Don't think LCHS didn't notice all the young talent and we all know over here that it is going to be hard to keep the bell for an extended time as yall have. Losts of hard work is ahead if LCHS wants to keep it for more than one year!

Wiseoldman you were right again! The "T" didn't do 39 they did 42. Not sure who Coach B is but he did get it hung on him tonight! The pigeons have come home to roost!

I assure you I know what game we are playing! If I am not mistaken both teams will be playing on the same field so quit your crying! Oh yeah, as for the goats, at least they aren't scared over here like they are at your house!!

I can assure you the field is in fine shape! I came by just a few minutes ago and they were picking the last few square bales up! Now if the AG department will just get those darn goats off the field! No really, the field looks great and it does have a unique hump in it but heck, that is home field advantage. While your over here look around at the nice Little League parks, soccer fields and softball fields. Up until last year I sure never heard anyone talking about how great the Giles County stadium was. The field looks nice and soft for the Bobcats. Yall come on over!!

X5 you misunderstood me. I didn't say wait and see how the game turns out and then talk. I said do your talking on the field. I do however expect a lot of talking after the game. I just don't know which side will be doing the most of it. Either way what a great rivalry! I must admit the stupid stuff has calmed down and the last few post were about football and scores. Good clean fun! Oh yeah, Dooley is off at college now and I am not sure he cares as much as he used to. I do miss him on here though! Look on the bright side.......we still have YOU!!

It appears that if you wanted to talk football and make a few predictions there were a few from Lawrence County willing to do that. However, when a few started making fun of and talking about stupid stuff they just shut down. Such a shame! This would have been a great on to discuss. Sure its fun sometime but not all the time! Yall Giles Countians have fun on here together and we will see yall Friday night in L'burg. Do drive careful due to the road construction and get here early because its going to be crowded. You also might want to park on the Weakley Creek road lot. I think they usually have a gate there and would be a very easy walk to your seats.

I have been waiting all week for some good trash talk and all I get is something about Austin Powers? I sure hope the Giles Countians can come up with something better than pointing out misspelled words and Austin Power movies!!

All this talk of where to send this kid. Where is he supposed to go? The kid is surely zoned to go to one school or the other! Go to where he is zoned to go and everything else will work out. I can't amagine having a kid that is some great athlete and not having some idea of where he needs to go! Get out from under your rock!!

So how did the scrimmage with Giles County go over the weekend? Who won and were there any injuries?

I agree LCHS should have a great defense but what about the other side of the ball? Does anyone have any idea what they have coming back on offense? They really have taken the biggest hit here and should be interesting to see who steps up on the line and backfield. I figure Garland and Irazary(spelling) will be very good but we all know the WingT you need more than two good backs. The O line will also need to regroup with only two starters returning.

Columbia may be the preseason pick but Lawrence County will surely be picked higher than they were last year. LCHS was picked to finish last so not sure how good preseason picks stack up. This game should be a good one and has been since this group of kids were playing in middle school! Goff and Garland should be fun to watch. LCHS should have a solid defense, good running game, good kicking game and great coaching. Columbia should be equally good and I am marking this game down now as being one of the biggest games in the state. Other than Goff, who are the other playmakers and the ones to watch?

yea thats what im trying to figure out... When i spoke to TSSAA they would not tell me why a decision was made.. and also said there was no tape as evidence.. And for the record this is not hearsay...TSSAA made a hasty decision and I vow to try to get him playing again.. I wish you luck! I don't think the people at LCHS think Andrews is a lunatic. They all know he is a great athelete. That is the reason the fans were trying to get him off his game. I also don't think the statement about LCHS trying to get him suspended was correct earlier. I feel certain the fans from LCHS never thought about a brawl and Andrews getting suspended. It happened though and I know the fans from SCHS are devastated. The people that were there that night clapped for EA when he got his award that night. Not sure if SCHS noticed that but they did. I still have not heard for a fact that the suspensions were from the TSSAA. I am sure they helped with the decision. I don't know EA but I have seen him play ball for a couple years now and his actions Friday night was not in his character but what happened did happen. of course he was involved yall made it that way... not saying he didn't punch anyone.. im saying he was defending himself.. and who wouldn't... but to suspend for the rest of the season is a little harse...a fight is a fight ejection and a 2 game suspension...thats what im trying to say here.. Crunch...........if it will make you feel any better, I was thinking a 2 game suspension would be what he got also. I was shocked when I heard the rest of the season. That is the reason I was asking if he had ever been in any other trouble or technical fouls and things like that. I would love to see him play again but I am afraid that will not happen this year. Maybe in college somewhere good

The coach lost his cool and left his players high and dry! Ifs and buts after that means nothing. He lost his cool and left his team. It is his responsiblity to tend to his team not the assistants. He messed up! He left his team.............

it's a fact that she was pushed, but also a fact that it wasn't intentional.. he was doing his job by trying to get the guys to the locker room and then something that wasn't that big of a deal became a big deal, if it's not intentional now why was it such a big deal that it was intentional then. Coach Thomas was then pulled to the side because of that leaving the team way in front of the assistant coaches who had to break up the fight after it had started not much you can do then. I just don't understand why the cheerleader didn't understand that he was trying to get his team to the locker room and to get out of the way.. maybe she didn't realize but at the time she made it seem like he picked her up and tossed her by the way she was acting, but not it's an unintentional move to the side. Funny how things change after our best player is suspended. Actually he was not helping his team get to the locker room. He only shook the head coaches hand and then he yelled at the refs and headed for the locker room while his team shook the hands of the other players. Fact!!

I honestly don't have a clue where you are going with this Randy. I tell you what, lets give it a break and sometime later get back on here and discuss this. At this point I am not sure what the big difference could be. Keep your thoughts and till later! Think about it, ask around, you might figure it out. The bottom line is he was there doing the same thing as the other administrators. I also saw the assistant coach there too. Nothing you say will change and of course you will keep defending your buddies. The TSSAA must know what happened because of the punishments. Actually I don't have time for little games you are playing trying to take some of the heat off the SCHS coach. He messed up and nothing will change that. Not blaming the SRO or any other administrators from LCHS. It will not change the fact that there was a fight and Andrews will not play for SCHS again. That sad and I do hate it. I also do not think the SCHS coach pushed the chearleader on purpose. I do think he is the main reason this happened though. I say that even though he is your buddy. He lost his cool and did not get his team where they needed to be. His actions distracted the SRO and then he couldn't fully do his job of watching the students. That pretty much says it all and if you have something you would like to share than say it and stop beating around the bush!!
