  1. Well said Hope to see the commanders on the hard wood after this week!
  2. Hey you said it....have fun in d2. Hope that it continues to align with your school's "mission" ha
  3. My comment didn't speak to religion... even as you hide behind your name, we all know kids will be kids wherever you are...I'd just hope that a Christian school would have Christian leaders that would adamantly oppose such behavior My comment was about the fact that I have seen and heard of several instances in district 8 play where a mighty commander ended a players season due to late hits.
  4. Tell your players to watch their knees, those Christian boys like to come in late and low!
  5. Totally understand about the names... Tournament absence in laughable...I could be wrong, but I see a bright future for at least one team!
  6. You really don't see it do you...smh Hey motard, read what one of your own wrote http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2012/oct/07/carlton-flatt-now-realizes-public-viewpoint/?print
  7. Saw that. They won AA last year, and they drop to A, what do they expect.
  8. Who was the injury? Thought there was two srs? Guard and a post. This is me going on hearing talk from last year.. Know you are a little more clued in with girls ball. Thought going in it'd be Gville RBS/TC Wtown FC
  9. That's how I read it...will be interested to see!
  10. Who would've thought you picking red bubbly...homer You might get a little surprise when it comes to yr rankings...only time will tell
  11. Is this Wtown's game of the year? Opinion... If Wtown wins where will both teams go first rd? If JC wins? Discuss...
  12. Jeeze that explains it then...sorry for your troubles. Stings a little when you have to hang 'em up... First off:...it's "the chip". Might want to get it right if you vesties plan on winning two more next year. Second: congrats on the coaching success, and by "coaching" I mean "FC's newest recruiter" And C:I hope your dog dies.... Good night
  13. Well I'd like to pop him in the face, but that'd just gve more to mouth about once the t-fairy got him fixed up... Bad attitude, smart alec, I hope it has gotten worse sense playing in hs...he wouldn't have lasted very long where income from... Didn't you go to play in college...you sure are on here a lot, what happened? Daddy couldn't pay off the coaches anymore? That's all....and to the game had TC score right...not surprised Wtown put up the goose egg...tough without Jobe sorry to hear that. Good luck to all...even the sweatervests...hope Region 4 does well in the post season.
  14. Oh so you were at the RBS/Wtown game? Doubt it, probably at home having your butler mend your sweatervest.... Trousdale wins tonight only if Wtown doesn't show up...and we have seen that happen more times than not.... I'm calling it... Wtown 35 TC 28
  15. Perfect response....no accountability on your part. Which again speaks to changing your name....it's not the fact that you sin it's the front that is out up on the whole of the institution, not everyone, but the majority that come across as "holier than thou"...that's all cant play both sides of the fence, and want everyone to look up to your morals and then promote the contrary on your sports teams...and by promote I mean allow...cause if you don't speak out against it ( by removing the said party) then you are essentially promoting or saying its ok..... So George, either change your behavior, or change your name...
  16. Biggest either continue to just let everyone think you're an idiot or keep typing and prove it...
  17. I agree with you. Lots of good ppl. Don't want take from that. Wouldn't mind calling Wtown home! My acquaintances echo your sentiments for Luttrell
  18. "Had to throw" true FC didn't have to throw to win...but they obviously tried to get sweet precious his stats for all his big D1 suitors, and when that didn't work, your right they straight ran it down Wtown's throat. Overthrown, under thrown, dropped, are all incomplete! Jobe looked better... The FC player I was impressed with we're: #2 ran hard , tough kid good athlete had to have close to 200 rushing Was not impressed with #3, or #6 dropped TDs not to mention mouthing right in an official's face about missing a call, bad enough for a flag. Wtown player impressed with: #1 led the team, #80 nose for the ball Not impressed with:#24 fumblitis as a senior hard to win with that, #70 something biggest lineman real big kid to play so soft I agree with the "calls" when it is never in reach the refs don't matter. You can't argue a call when you just fumbled... I AGREE WITH THAT...not sure if your reading comprehension is low or your reading comprehension is low. FC Gville game was close refs could've made a difference... Which leads me to injury on 22...the back pylon was knocked over " not looking at the goal line"? He was 8-9 yes deep. No excuse. Ejected...as should have been #16 from Gville, when he was "playing hard" and " through the whistle" and sweet precious got knocked out of the game, right? But I did read several excuses from the sweatervest faithful after the Gville game...funny to me when the shoe is on the other foot...lol You are correct FC was on defense when 70 cut 56...like I said, could have been good contact...70 cut him needlessly...gutless and DIRTY. You must either wear #70 or had part in his conception...homer you watch the film. And I'm not even complaining...just stating...56 could've/should've shot his hands and cleared his feet if he was taught how to take on a cut but that's another post. I have an objective view with a little purple lean...don't have a dog in the race anymore just some friends in Wtown who host an old boy from the commonwealth when he comes down. FC won in all aspects that I mentioned and any others you could probably come up with, no doubt... I'm only on here to give an opinion from the "other" side if you will And I'm sure nobody whined about y'all when you got your tails kicked years back...before the regime had time to be built...congrats you have a good sports program...no matter where you are it takes at least 10-15 yrs to develop a feeder that can supply winners at the next level...which is the main reason privates shouldn't be on the same field as publics. Bt this isn't a pub vs priv debate so ill circumvent the calls to leave that for a different thread and not go any further...
  19. Hope that gville will take it easy on em...would be interested in the Wtown TC game if Watertown isn't just run through with injuries from region #2 and then #1 back to back. Different schedule for Wtown - exposed earlier thereby losing to some like RBS/Monterey/Clay Different schedule for Gville - possibly undefeated by getting smith co later in the year Either way these are the cards dealt...
  20. TOTALLY agree with this post. Didnt mention this in my previous post... er a novel...lol But as to my question of what makes the difference between Wtown and the big three, line play was mentioned, and I agreed, but as for last night the more disciplined football team was obvious to see... self discipline is a big hurdle in sport but discipline is also a learned characteristic and it looks like it is not coming from the top in Wtown's case... Saw a game official/parent of a player yelling down at coaches when 9 couldn't field the kickoff. NOT GOOD, should be addressed at the administration level!! (BTW it was obvious Wtown hadn't worked on KOR..too bad for them made a big difference in the momentum of the game.) IMO several aspects of a football game a team would like to "win"...offense, defense, special teams, discipline, toughness...hard to win on the scoreboard without winning those last three, aside from the obvious first two...just saying PS...is that number 12 kid a soccer player too, or do you all just recruit dual threat athletes now? Best kicker I have seen this year.
  21. This seems like the best reply to work from, so here we go... -I don't intend to get on here and get anything accomplished just give my opinion for the first time this year since this was my first game to come to, and knowing it was going to be Wtown's first test... - I Agree with George that Wtown could've made it closer minus the fumbles...Wtown QB led the offense well (played better than Long IMO) connected on passes that Long overthrew/under threw. - while we're on that. The tough FC receivers we have been hearing about made Long look worse that he probably is. Yes 408 yes rushing is goin with what works, but don't tell me FC coach didn't try it air it out...was trying to "put one up" right before half time, as well as other times throughout the game and just couldn't get it done. Some good plays by a Wtown defender, some drops, but the FCC passing game was as effected as a D1 QB should have been...Long has more notoriety at this point (thanks to YouTube I guess) but Wtown QB looked more D1 last night. Again IMHO -Calls at some point could have played a factor..late hit in the endzone (ejectable IMO), helmet to helmet, pass interference on the interception...but Wtown didn't play we'll enough to make that an argument...sorry mayor. -overall. FC has a better defense, and that to me is what led to the score...one of y'all's sweater vested grannies could score if you let her. I think more credit is due to FC speed on defense and Wtown not being prepared to run the ball against that. They obviously can't mimic that in practice. I mean half line only goes so far. On to the hard play & effort from both sides and my previous comment about the type of kids Wtown has this year...to me it looked as though FC had some dirty play in them. -Injury on 22...UNCALLED FOR. player should have been removed from the game if not by refs then by FC coaches and then the "Christian Commanders" cheer when the Wtown penalty was marked off on the PAT while 22 was still being seen about in the endzone. (FC (sports at least) needs not to be referred by the Christian moniker) -Injury on 56...was obviously malicious. 56 was peeled back on and CUT below the knees by #70 DIRTY could've been and good block/contact from both, but the FC kid went low. DIRTY. Seriously doubt it was 56 "getting blocked by FC's line seemed to hurt his feelings" from what I understand he is strongest kid on the team, 300-400 on Olympic lifts, Sr with history of knee problems is probably done bc of DIRTY play...enough said That's all for now...
  22. Wont be a blow out by any means...watertown has had to depend on kids in the past that weren't very solid, as in when the times got tough, they folded like a cheap suit...i hear these are the best young men they have had ina while in leadership roles...should take them further than in the past... like last year where they were beat when they got off the bus! I'm coming down for this one, i think it'll be closer than expected.
  23. Hey if y'all turn away a 3-4 star lineman send em watertowns way! That'll work.
