  1. ...not only are you unoriginal...Justin Case...my momma could've picked a more original name than a tv commercial player, but you post in poor taste....smack is one thing, but you are completely whacked, for lack of a better word.... Orignial or not...no matter what school I rep...stop attacking the messenger and attack the problem...my point is, what are we trying to produce? What is the bottom line? The gold ball?...really? Wouldn't we be better suited to teach student-athletes life lessons that football has the propensity to bring our ways? Not just on the field, but off as well... Call to action....admit your mistakes, don't sweep them under the rug and call yourself a champion...produce men of character that will take care of their families and not pawn them off to Joe Taxpayer...men that will do the right thing not just the easiest when times get tough...produce true winners...not measured by the number of rings on your fingers but the content of your character. I have championship rings myself from several levels of play...I am proud to wear them, but just as proud to say I did it the right way... I have in no way intended to generalize the select few who pay the price to be the best. I know that FCS has several and I can only assume TC does as well. How about posting some names of kids who carry a high GPA, model citizens, good students, who happen to play football as well. Good luck to both teams...it's going to be a great one!!! and I will be there!
  2. And all dis means what? Hurry up er youll be late to class. Dis here game aint about money or whut uniform ye ware. Its about high school football and dem fellars fer both teams dats worked hard to git here. Lets keep dat in mind. Dare ar 8 teams left in 2A and dese 2 teams are fer sure 2 of da best and both teams are full of good athletes and more than dat, good fellars! I know you can't spell...but I thought surely your could read...I addressed two negative issues from each program, that get swept under the rug, and I ended the post with "it's obvious that tonight is going to be a killer game regardless....good luck to both squads" Meaning: This is the game of the week. 1A-6A. I just love the win at all costs mentality from these successful* programs. Man up! Admit there are underhanded things that take place and win your championships*! There is nothing that anyone can do about it oboviously, or it would have already been done. Just in case you were wondering. Wonder how long it'll take to reply and totally ignore being called out, better hurry up or you'll miss your morning tennis lesson.
  3. Thought came into my head...is trousdale going to get a someone to front them some new uniforms for this game as well? All this talk about FCS and their money, I don't know of another team in the state that got new uniforms (including brand new helments) for one game. I heard the helmets got sent off the next day, but what to do with the jerseys? Auction them off for charity, but I doubt that thought would've come to a program that allows inmates to play for them. In jail thursday night...on the creekbank friday night. Do they get to go out to eat after the game or do you have to send them back to the slammer? Just in case you were wondering I hold no allegiance to any team. I could equally post on the fact that FCS is the best team money can buy, and the fact that I can throw names of kids they have recruited (some went/some didn't). Everyone's got their skeleton's...and it's obvious that tonight is going to be a killer game regardless....good luck to both squads
  4. Mt. Pleasant is a 4 possibly 5 win team that is FIFTH in their region behind 4 1A schools. Silverdale Academy is a 5 win 2nd automatic bid from the three 2A team district 5. Granted they are a private school who can afford to take their team to Florida for on of thier losses. Cosby/Unaka will have 5 wins but makes the playoffs on an AUTOMATIC bid...2nd bid from that region. Douglass could possibly have 5 wins but makes the playoffs with an AUTOMATIC bid for winning essentially one region/district game. And the KICKER...District 16 Class 2A Westwood will have 2, yes that's right, 2 wins total but makes the playoffs with an AUTOMATIC bid for winning one region/district game. Marion...Dresden...Jackson...Trenton...TCA...! Seems as though there were five soft spots mentioned and five soild deserving teams probably not going. I'll let you do the math! I mean don't we want our best teams competing in week 11?
  5. I think JC still beat up from playing TC too. IMO: I have only seen three of your games where you had to fight a little bit...Cardinals, Commanders, and Purple Tigers...like I said IMO... Meaning: you pulled your big boy trousdale beat down easily when everyone laid down for your little fullback and the 35 year old man to run down their backs. I would guess JC is alright unless one of their guys hurt their necks as the jackets ran by them...as it seemed everyone else just quit against you! What???????? The name Trousdale brings with it a sense of fear, congratulations! Over the past few years of success, you have had far better athletes than anyone you have faced week in and week out. The previously mentioned fear brings with it the "lay down factor". Coaches go into TC games with a game plan they feel will work. the TC athletes do their thing and teams have a tendency to "lay down" with a grim outlook for a win. I bring this up for the comment about JC still being hurt from their TC game. All this said whether you understand or not...it made sense in my head...so there you go... You'll understand this: The creekbank is getting ready to run dry and the jackets won't have as big of a boat to float on...we'll see how good your coaching is. I know there have been teams who have done alot more with alot less...i wouldn't be suprised to see a change in command in the next few years on the creekbank! Again IMO

  7. I'm interested to see if teams with a history will be given preference as far as travel...seeding...hosting or even if private schools will be given an easier ride. I know of one tssaa official personally that is a product of the public system so you would think he would at worse by neutral...word on the street is that the majority lean private... OR...will this be a truly "blind draw" I, for one, will be glued to this here computer saturday morning...Lord willing and the creeks don't rise! Good luck to all.
  8. Agreed...which is why you don't need to lose to them...They have already made round one with a gift from tssaa with two automatic 1a bids (out of 4). They seem to be the weaker team when compared to Dresden's week 10 1A opponent (6-3 Gleason) Go get 'em pats
  9. Sounds as though Congrats are in order...haven't seen you guys play but according to all the talk you have a backdoor slowly closing on the playoffs...shouldn't be this way... I posted this on the 2a wildcard thread but...there are 5 teams that are receiving automatic bids that wouldn't make the playoffs otherwise...best I can count there are five (JC included) that probably won't go because of the system. I post here only to start the thoughts of making the tssaa realize what is fair. A 2-8 team shouldn't make the playoffs when you guys could have 6 wins playing the likes of TC and FCS. Best of luck to the blue devils and congrats on a good program building year! A win next week will help your cause, but get ready Watertown is pretty tough. The score didn't show it but they gave TC a run for it in a hard fought game.
  10. Here is the sad part for some really good teams: You will be sitting at home or watching someone else play in week one of the playoffs, thanks to the brainchild of the illustrious tssaa officials. Heritage deserves a spot...very tough team on film...don't know alot about the others but I can only assume! Mt. Pleasant is a 4 possibly 5 win team that is FIFTH in their region behind 4 1A schools. Silverdale Academy is a 5 win 2nd automatic bid from the three 2A team district 5. Cosby/Unaka will have 5 wins but makes the playoffs on an AUTOMATIC bid...2nd bid from that region. And the KICKER...Westwood will have 2, yes that's right, 2 wins total but makes the playoffs with an AUTOMATIC bid for winning one region/district game. I'd be raising some stink if I's Marion...Dresden...Jackson...Trenton...TCA...and I didn't get in! Seems as though there were five soft spots mentioned and five soild deserving teams probably not going. I'll let you do the math! I mean don't we want our best teams competing in week 11? P.S. District 15 and 16 need to play a regional schedule....of course 16 wouldn't choose to but a 4/5 and a 2 win team in the playoffs...come on...
