It normally takes about 2 years to learn a new offense. WC will go thru growing pains this year and should be better at running the offense next year. Sorry for the current seniors but facts are facts. They would probably been better off running the offense from last year. They knew how to run it and was successful at it. Its hard to take a running team and turn them into a spread passing in 1 summer. Good luck this week and hopefully the defense can keep the Pioneers in the game.

I thought the new look pioneers where supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread??????? It will be a long year unless things change because this is not middle school!!!! A spread offense that goes 3 for 12 with 10 yds passing is not going to make it, Even though they rushed for over 200 yds, other teams will shut the run down and make us throw the ball.

It all starts with the line. I don't care if you are the real chris Johnson running the ball, if you don't have blockers he is not going to get vary far. The quick passes need at least 3-4 sec and the long pass plays need 5-6 sec to get the ball off. WC better get it together or its going to be a long season

Pioneers could do both last year very good. They just couldn't play defense against a youth team.

I hear that a lot of Freshmen and sophomores are getting playing time. Is WC looking at this year as a rebuilding-getting the new system down type of year?

How do they look after the 1st scrimmage? I heard the numbers are down this year and freshmen may see a lot of playing time. What are the predictions now for this year.

With what they are paying the football coaches I think they could bring in some top coaches! We need to be fair across the board when it comes to athletics.

Warren Co turned a triple play against Cookeville Friday night. Coaches made a great call and the girls executed it to perfection. The winning run for Cookeville was on 3rd with no outs. Coaches decided to walk next 2 batters. Then the next batter hit it to 3rd who threw it home then to 1st and then to 2nd for the tag. Great job!!

3.8 years in the NFL (4 as a defensive captain) NFL.com has him playing 1 year in the NFL and getting in 1 game that season. It will be disappointing to some on here but he said it is more than win's and losses. It's about teaching boys to become young men with character. I like this hire.

That will depend on the new coach but my guess is not many.

They were not encouraged to quit. They were asked by the current AD to stay. They were tired of the putting up with parents that thought they knew more than the coaches. Running the wrong offense, running the wrong defense, not playing this kid, playing that kid, why's my son not playing. But why are we talking about the former coaches? We need to worry about the new coach and how we can support him and learn from the past and do a better job this time.

Will he be able to bring in a staff or have to hire from the abundant of former coaches left over from previous staffs? Everybody talks about former players that should help but which ones have the time to do it? There will be a lot of questions the new coach will faced with. I hope he has the administrations support this time. GO PIONEERS!

Regardless of who the next coach is, he will need to be coachable and some of these kids will still not make it on the field.

I heard the school board tried to get it passed that the AD could negotiate with coaches and pay them more based on their credentials but one board member shot the idea down. That's why we are looking for someone to come in at our pitiful pay scale.
