  1. Ac will will bounce back in a big way this friday, but Halls is not a very good team either! Ill tell ya one thing, if ac and halls flipped schedules, ac might have 3 losses with 2 wins. Powell showed everyone the factor of a weak 3 game schedule. They looked over matched all night, because they have not played anyone up to this point. Also like i said before the powell game, running the ball is a must, and getting physical with there recievers off the ball also messes with there timing and their screen game! AC will be 9-1, but im thinking the play-offs wont be as fun for them as last season. Good luck to both teams, but the clock will not stop starting in the 3rd quarter.
  2. Powell 43-42. O Matt Lowe sneaks in a 2 point conversion late to win it! No defense in this ball game! Powell should watch the Aloca Maryville game from last seaon and take away one big pointer! Dont throw a pass!! And please no onside kicks this season in the first half! lol
  3. I hope the dragons rebound this week over the mountain! This team had some promise but the one thing that couldnt happen, happened (Injuries). But thats football, those things happen so they must move on! I would really like to see clinton expand on their package with camion at QB. There are alot of things you can do to confuse a defense in that package, heck alot of teams are using it now days! It also allows them to put there 4 best athletes (besides washington) on the field at the same time (patrick, shannon, powell, daniels) and all 4 can be a threat to get the ball! Also the line is to big and to well coached to be getting man handled like they did last friday night. The dragons truly have nothing to lose, and they should play the remainder of the season with a chip on their shoulder! Good luck this week, come back with win.
  4. Space AC is number 3 in the state, and a really good football team! Believe me everyone knows they have a change and really good one! I just based my pick off those two things, not because Powell has the better team! They are really even if you ask me, but I like home teams in that circumstance! If the mavs stop the run, they will win big, but thats the weakness in your defense! maybe I'm wrong, but believe me ac as more than a chance!
  5. Powell has one big key out of 3 keys you need to beat AC. The first one is run the ball! Keep the best offense in the state off the field! You also have to pressure Williams! Great QB, but like all they are not near as effective when pressure is put on them! The last one, cause turnovers! Ill go ahead a pick Powell because there at home, and have alot of motivation after last seasons game when they should have beat AC! Running game is to strong, AC couldnt stop it last season, they wont this season! And for the record, Powell needs to press cover their recievers! No Wilson to throw it up to, run a 2 man coverage and see how they respond! Good luck to both teams, winner brings home a district title trophy!
  6. Boy thats a tough loss for Clinton! But it happens all the time to young football teams who prob. under estiamated HV a little! They have a very good running back, and im sure they remembered last years game a bit to because Clinton really beat them up all night! This loss will be the turning point one way or the other for Clinton! they will either turn it around, or win one more game! hopefully they will turn it around because they do have to talent on that team!
  7. Central better take my advice if they don't want to get embarressed on TV. Run the football at least 40 times, try and control the clock! And they better send one of the better LB's after Tanner Williams every snap! Beat him up or he will go bananas on their secondary! But AC again is too talented on offense, they will win big again!
  8. I agree with what everyone is saying about AC! They are the most explosive team in the district this season, but admit it, your non conference schedule is cake and you know it! Mo east was an ok team last season, yes they beat you, but if you know football, you guys didnt really come fully together until your play-off run! You lost to OR scoring 7 points, Powell should have beating you at home on Saturday (yes they should have won, but there coach made some really dumb moves at the end of both halfs) and Clinton beat ya! All of the top teams on schedule won the games until the playoffs when your squad reached its peak and started playing great football. But this season Mo east is terrible, so is LA and you fans no it! Clinton is less talented and way younger, but DB and the team from NC are much better than your two teams! So yes Clinton lost to DB, so would AC. At least the young dragons arent scared to acutally play somebody! But like I have been saying, There is not need to lust over Tanners numbers against terrible teams! Now if he puts up huge numbers against Powell, OR, Central and Clinton, Ill tip my hat to the kid and wish him luck at Tusculum. But until then, Im not concerned.
  9. Williams better put up great numbers, especially since AC plays a "CUPCAKE" schedule. Pad his stats by playing a terrible Morristown East team, and they went even worse with Livingston Academy! The distict is already weak so I wouldnt look to much into numbers until they play Powell, and OR! But AC number 4 in the state, thats an honor! luckly they dont take Non Conference strength of schedule into consideration! The mavs would be hurting bad! Good luck to Cambell County! keep it under 100 ok!
  10. The PI by the end zone was a terrible call, also should have running into the kicker, not roughing. I thought the fumble was to close to call. A ref in that case is in a lose lose situation!
  11. Two questions for Ac fans! first I'll wish you and your team a safe trip and good luck ( but you wont need it). I expect the mavs to run through MO East! First question, what is wrong with Mr. Tanner Williams. Is he really that sick, or was it just a scare? 2nd question, When are you guys gonna schedule some tough non conference games? Sorry but if your expecting District title, and State Championships, I honestly would like to see at least one tough game! Livingston Academy and MO East are far from that! Now if you guys would have scheduled MO West, I would prob make the trip up there for that one! Not doging AC at all, great team, great coaches! But schedule is cake this year with the exception of some tough district games!
  12. I would like to wish both teams a good luck for tonights game! DB on paper is the better team, they are much improved from last season, and u guys gave clinton all they could handle. This is not a huge game for DB in the long run, but win or lose this game could be huge for the young dragons! A win of course would be awsome for clinton, but this young team really just needs to play a solid game, limit the turnovers, and compete! Now I know Andy and his staff are going into this game expecting to win, all coaches do, but Im making this statement from a fans view. If they can keep the game close througout, win or lose I feel it would be huge for a very young teams confidence heading into district play. Beating a team like DB last season really showed the Clinton team they were forreal, being able to compete with DB this season (considering Clinton lost 25 seniors and DB hardly lost anything) would do numbers for a young team who I feel can make a run at the play-offs, especially for a sophomore QB who stepped up last week and just needs to get more comfortable. Coach Steger, keep up the good work developing wilard, and your young offense! Great OC hire by Clinton! Good luck dragon players and coaches, play loose, fly around, and compete.
  13. I'm so happy I made the trip over to Maryville to see one of the best high school football games ever! Both teams played outstanding football all night. Maryville I feel has improved from last season, and there junior QB is a heck of a player! Alcoa beat him up all night, but he stood in there and made some great throws! However Alcoa has the best most physical team I have ever seen. They man handled Maryville up front on both sides of the ball, #66 is a beast! Also thunder and lightning in the back field is unstoppable. Warren runs the ball like Mike alsot used to, and Van was breaking ankles on almost every run! Alcoa is to good a team to be playing 3a ball. If there is a team in the entire state of tennessee that could beat them, I would love to see it.
  14. Ac will dominate Morristown East. And space I must agree with you on 1 count, OR wont run through the league nor will you guys! One team everyone is forgetting about is the Powell Panthers! Best overall player in the region plays for Powell, and there QB is a lot better this season!Remember your game with them from last season, very tough! Those are two games I really want to see this season, and who knows, Clinton surpised me last week as well! But thats later on down the line, this week though, easy game for ya!
  15. Sorry guys, but Darion Stone for Clinton last season was a much better QB that Tanner, same questions about his size and height were a concern, Stone goes to Tech. Tenessee would not have any interest in a QB of that skill level. D1 maybe, D2 most likely. Arm is average, speed is terrible, accuracy is good. Those dont sound like D1 skills to me! Great high school QB in a great system that is a fact, but lets not go overboard with the overall talent level of this kid. Caleb Slover rings a bell, former AC star with a way better arm and was 6'4, D2 is were he went.
