  1. I thought you had some listed at 5' 13" in the program last year but I guess those graduated.
  2. Our players are used to having pretty girls around them. They even have one on the team.
  3. We might even put in a girl to kick an extra point or two. Maybe a field goal inside the thirty.
  4. I don't know if North was playing their best players in the jamboree but Erwin made them look silly, they drove down the field on them like a knife through butter. North could not defend the pass and Unicoi picked them apart. If Volunteer throws the ball they may have a chance. It could be a long season for north.
  5. DBoone. Elizabethton has an All State, Three Rivers player of the year, D1 prospect, 6'3" 200 Senior QB Berry, that led his team to the final 4 last year. He has the best arm in East Tennessee. I don't think DBoone will rattle him much. But the 6 5 Matt Smith has been known to cause some pain to opposeing QB's. Has has a couple of bookends on the other side with Dustin Phillips and Ian Glover, 2 quick ends in Ryan, and Walters, Nidefer and Holsclaw are back at middle LB's . New transfer Tank Williams at NG with Adam Mullins and 4 return in the secondary Turner, Moore, Montgomery, Tredway. When Berry is not hitting 6'4" wideout Baughman or the speedy Prichard, or the sure hands of Drew Holsclaw, you get to see the dazling speed of Zack Moore, and no one can lay a hand on the shifty back in Turner. He ran over a 350 pound Referee knocking him out of his shoes and the flag out of his pocket. The fastest kid on the team is the 6'0' 225 full back Clayton Smith who seeks out people to truck. People that try and hit him hard quickly finds themselves wondering what happened as the refs rase both hands. Elizabethton will score often against Boone if we can contain the run it will be a one sided game.
  6. The problem with this is Elizabethton is riding high with the starters that were junors and softomores last year. This year they are junors and seniors in key positions wthat got to play 14 games last year. Our only worry was how the OLine would be. They have worked hard and have a D1 tackle and QB and pretty good play caller on the sidelines. They will do what it takes to win no matter what number comes before the A.
  7. Tazwell was held to -3 for the game. Elizabethton took out the starters after the first series. Saving them for the Jamboree tonight. The freshmen team took the ball down and scored before the game was called. Tazwell on the other hand only had 3 practices due to them starting later in VA. Elizabethton needs more PT against some bigger schools. Not abel to gage how they will be until they play some better teams maybe they are just that good.
  8. Boone has not seen a back like Turner, and a full back with break away speed like Smith. Once they adjust to the run, Berry will pick them apart with the pass. If the Defense controls the Boone run we will be ok. I see the Cyclones by two TD's.
  9. I think that after the Science Hill scrimage the Greene Devils will come back to earth and send some scouts over to NC to see if they can find some help.
  10. After the DB scrimage, I don't think Greeneville is the team they were last year. I guess the NC well went dry. Science Hill will manhandle them worse than DB did. Alcoa will score 50 points on them this year.
  11. Don't think Elizabethton QB will out throw his receivers this year, they have added some fast tall wideouts and their OLine had good games against larger Crockett and Volunteer. They return their defense and two good running backs that started as sophomores last year. The have a fullback this year that is the fastest kid in the area and tough to bring down. It will be a good game but Elizabethton has too many weapons. With the pass and the run they will take this one by 2 touchdowns.
  12. After seeing Volunteer and Elizabethton, North will have the second team in by the half.
  13. Elizabethton has two top players in the State this year in Matt Smith and Mckenly Berry. Berry has one of the best arms in the State. He led Elizabethton to the final four last year and looks to do the same this year. Smith is a 6'5" monster that tackles the whole backfield and throws people out until he finds the one with the ball.
  14. Looks like Elizabethton is loaded again this year. They may have more talent this year then 3 years ago. The QB Berry won every top award at all the showcase camps he went to this year. He has grown to 6' 3" and his arm is amassing. They have added some big tall receivers for him to throw to. The picked apart almost everyone the played 7 on 7. junors Turner and Moore are back and a big fast fullback Smith, in the backfield. There are some younger backs with a lot of speed as well. North maybe the only team to give them problems in the 3 Rivers. But I see them going undefeted there again. They return a good defence without losing very many. With the good player Ogg being recruited away from Austin-East to Alcoa, look for the Cyclones to host the Tornadoes again this year in the Semi.
  15. there may have been some other reasons none of which he was recruited....the FB is the same kid here.... That article did not mention that Lukes father is one of the all-time leading rushers for Elizabethton and went on to star in college and that his little brother was already playing and had always played at Elizabethton.
  16. No and no, her brother kicked a PAT against Alcoa last year.
  17. That article did not mention that Lukes father is one of the all-time leading rushers for Elizabethton and went on to star in college and that his little brother was already playing and had always played at Elizabethton.
  18. It's funny that the other two Blount County teams were 3-7 and 3-7, Alcoa and Maryville can't say they don't pull from those schools.
  19. Elizabethton will bring a lot of folks, please stock the visitor side. GP ran out of everything.
  20. They would need a 4.0 to be close to being on the same field as Greeneville, we have played them both and Greeneville has a lot more fire snot.
  21. Why would they want to come to Elizabethton when their teams do so well? Hampton 9-2 Happy Valley 8-3 Other two Carter County teams both in the playoffs. Number of Kids from Hampton or HV playing for Elizabethton -0- A few years ago Cloudland was playing for the state every year, you did not see Elizabethton players running up there to play.
  22. You maybe right when he hears about a good player in Knoxville he's been known to break the sound barrier.
  23. Big difference, CAK is a private school and most states make private schools play each other. TSSAA never met a gate it did not like to get money from, so they let them play against the pubs. Alcoa acts like a private school and will take anyone as long as they can play football, how many kids transfer in to be in the band?
  24. It's not quite as good as your sarcasm but close enough for Alcoa academics.
  25. Oh, in that case your spelling was just fine....
