  1. Man i know your not bring race up in this. You might want to take care of that race card before coacht does. Viva la Greene Machine I was thinking the same thing, but I didn't want to say it. The WC players deserve better than a race card. Back to football... WC is going to need a kicking game before they can try to get to state again. It's going to be hard to get anywhere with 20 yards a punt and no XPs. I did like that trick play that WC ran on their first 2 point attempt. Even though it failed, it was a lot of fun to watch.
  2. I'm from the inner city, friend. Football is a physical game. Again, if he had played to the whistle, he wouldn't have been hurt. Again, it's helpful to know the rules. I'm not even from Greeneville, but I wouldn't classify them as "rednecks." I'm sorry his jaw got broken, but I guarantee you that had he played until the whistle, he'd be fine. Good to see you classifying everyone who isn't in the city as a redneck, though. That definitely shows what type of person you are. That and the caps lock problem...
  3. See my response to this on the Greeneville/Giles County thread. I was there. It wasn't dirty at all. The ref's didn't recognize it as a fair catch and never blew the whistle. The guy who caught the ball was still standing and had the ball wrapped up when he was hit. You have to play to the whistle. The teams who lack discipline always want to call the disciplined teams "dirty." It's helpful, in any sport, to know the rules.
  4. You should look up "Caps Lock" on the internet somewhere. You can actually make some of your letters lowercase if you hold your jaw just right. Enough of that, though. I think you were watching a different game than I. I drove all the way from near Chattanooga to watch this game, and I'm old and blind, but I saw more calls go WC's way than Greeneville. On that "fair catch" play, the refs never blew the whistle - I'm sure the coaches in Greeneville teach the kids to play to the whistle. He shouldn't have backed up and caught the ball in the first place. On kickoff return, you never go back, you let the line behind you come up. It's a lot like fooseball really. If he didn't want to get hit, then he shouldn't have caught the ball. Plus, the ref's gave the kid a break on ripping his helmet off on the field after the play. That should've been 15 yards. It's a gave and take really. Oh, by the way, WC lost the game. I don't know if you caught that part or not. It was a great game and both sides played their hearts out. Whining about calls takes away from the stellar effort that both teams gave in the game. WC band totally rocks, by the way. WC has a great team and traveled well. They have a lot to be proud of.
  5. I'm from Chattanooga, so I don't have a dog in it, but I've seen Greeneville thump a few Chattanooga schools and made the drive to watch them against Whites Creek. You're in for a heck of a game next Saturday. Congrats to you guys. I think this game might be one for the ages!
  6. Well! Well! Well! That Whites Creek team looked like a speedier Greeneville team. On paper, WC should have won this, but that's why they don't play it on paper. Greeneville's kicking game gave them a huge advantage. WC had the big play on their side, but Greeneville's D kept the WC offense mostly in check except for a few big plays. Greeneville gave a gutsy performance and will represent all of East Tennessee well in the state. Good luck to you guys!
  7. Sorry JW, I ain't cookin' on Friday....got my tickets to the game today!!!! I'd leave ya a turkey sammich on the porch but i figure with all that crow you been chewin' on, poultry might not go down so good. The truth hurts!
  8. When have you known football players in general not to have big heads? Look at Peyton Manning, his noggin' is twice the size of a regular one. That being said, I think there's a fine line between confidence and overconfidence (also known as big head). I saw some tape on Whites Creek. This is going to be a tough game for Greeneville, but it will also be a tough game for Whites Creek. My prediction... Devils 16 Cobras 8
  9. I see that my post got yanked. I'm sorry if it offended anyone. As for my math skills, I got nothing for this game. I do know that 40-6 is worse math than I've ever done. To anyone I offended, SORRY! SORRY! SORRY! - to anyone who chuckled, MEOW! MEOW! MEOW! I think this game will be an entertaining game to fans who know the subtleties of the game. I don't see it being a shoot out at all. i think WC not having a kicker will hurt them, but it will also put interesting pressure on Greenville's defense. I'm going to drive up for this game. Maybe Barb will put me a little supper out on the porch!
  10. Actually, better let the kids watch the band to see how a real band plays with heart, soul, and emotion. You're the same type of idiots who wanted to keep Elvis off TV because he shook his hips. I'm sorry you're so afraid of sexuality. I hate to tell you this, but that's how you came into this world. I don't think your grandkids will get any ideas from a marching that they already didn't get from Miley Cyrus. Back to football... Anyone have any idea what kind of offense Whites Creek runs?
