What is a little better manner to release someone from any position. The majority of LC basketball fans are happy. There are a few that are not, but the majority are. What I read was that Whitby was told on Thursday, not at the very end as he told the newspaper. Again, the man can't do it anymore. I know it, you know it, he knows it. It's over and done.. let's move on!

I don't know if Whitby would sit with "CRY BOY" and the old man. I can't imagine anyone wanting to sit with him. Can anyone accept the fact that Whitby can't coach anymore? It's over.

Let's see... The only thing interesting about Coach Whitby's seasons at LC was which one of his cronies from Obion Co. he was gonna have come and sit beside him on the bench and tell him how great he used to be. Other than standing up about once a quarter and pointing to the court he did no coaching at all. He couldn't handle the kids, just talk to one of them and they will tell you "we did whatever we wanted to". Practice, we are talking practice here.There was no practice at LC. There were no designed offenses ran, they just showed up and played street ball. With the talent that passed through while he was here he should have had the 20 win seasons he had, but maybe that talent could have done more. A lot of people say with the talent he had he should have made LC a powerhouse. I don't know, I have seen a lot of LC's games in the last several years... I didn't see any coaching. Good guy and once a very good coach. Maybe OC or UC will make room for the so called legend. I see it as a win win for LC. Welcome back Bargers!

It was announced this afternoon at LCHS. Coach Barger to return as FB coach, other Coach Barger is Head boys BB. Way to go LC Officials. You got this one right.

Congrats to the UC players, you played really well and deserved to win. As far as the fans and the coaching staff... we got a really big lake you can all come jump in. In a good game it will be the Vikings by 6. Whump Whump ... Vikings in the house!

I made a few phone calls last night and a couple I called didn't get back with me..My son talked to a couple ball players and they hadn't heard anything..So I'm not sure..Swift did have an earlier incident a few weeks ago so I'm hoping that's what maybe the fan was telling you about..I did see coming home from the middle school game Sat night,blue lights had a car pulled over on a back road..Heard it was a 15 year pld driving without a license and had a couple 16 or 17 year olds with him..Not sure..So ..until I find out for sure..nothing I can post..I had a friend try to call the school officer last night,he's also a deputy at the Sheriff's Dept..Anything happening would probably go through him or he should know..Anyway..if true..will be a big blow..I think he's the best player at the moment..also if true..nothing to be said..if he's not smarter than that..He could have a bright future if he does the right things..Hopefully nothing to it..I should be able to find out today..Or if SBL or Lake Co Falcon comes on..they should know something.! Swift is done.
