I agree 100% and it could have changed alot of things, but when you're out recruitig highly touted athletes some of the average ones slip under your nose. I'm not saying randal Cobb is an average athlete by no means but coming out of high school he was not the same caliber as other athletes.

TN is on it's way to the top but like I said, in the Fulmer days these boys would have never gotten the opportunity to play for TN.

Hearing talks of some pretty good practices from the Boone squad this week. If DB comes hungry they will leave happy, but if they come lookin for an easy meal they will leave with their tails tucked between their legs.

My guess would be "roll up DB put em in a teepee, burn em". I prefer to call them Boone rather than D.B. and as far as the real DB thing goes, as members of the Big 8 conference the series between Boone and DB is 1-1. You can't call dominance with that kind of record since they've been in the same conference.

Figured I'd get on here and the war would already be started, so I'll just go ahead and get the ball rolling. Top 6a team in the conference against top 5a team in the conference. With no doubt DB is the better team but can Boone slip out with a win?

Boone is coming off of what could be a huge momentum swing with a well needed win at volunteer, while Happy Valley is coming off of a huge loss against a great ball team with a chip on their shoulder after getting beat by the hill. Hale is a tough place to play and it's homecoming which I feel gives Boone the upper hand. Who walks away with the W?

Well I don't know much about Greene co football other then Greenville and what I see on the highlight reel. From what I know about south Greene they are always a tough physical team and north Greene will have to come out and play tough, physical, mistake free football. With that being said I think they can do it. Nobody on here is showing north Greene any love so here it is....I'll take ng by 10. I also heard that their qb can stand on his knees and throw an 80 yard pass. Is this true?

Well sure it's an offensive issue right now but you can't hide from or be ok with giving up 58 points in two games against a 3 and 4 a opponent. Granted they have been on the field alot, they'd been on the field anyway cause we play players both ways.

Yea I have been hard on the players but more over I have been defending a coaching staff that I believe in against people that dont have anything to do with Boone football.

It really blows your mind when you add in there that they've given up 50 some points in two games.

This is high school football and these boys are about to be men. If they aren't playing well then they need to be benched. We aren't playing fundamental, everybody gets a turn football. That's what peewee is for. Maybe that's what you are better suited for. And just a word of advice, those DB boys will eat you for lunch and make you like it! I'd choose my battles with them wisely if I were you.

Like I said the facts are the facts, you know it's true, I know it's true, and coach Jenkins knows it's true. You can't hide the facts about a team. Running the program down would be calling individual names and talking about how bad they sucked. None of which I did. Nothing that there is a problem that needed to be fixed and quick, and saying that Boone needs a new qb is not being hard on coach. Yea there are things that I don't like and things that I would change, but I stand behind Boone and coach Jenkins and I refuse to get on a message board and run him or his program into the ground. The facts are the facts, Boone lacks a qb and they lack heart. They play sloppy, they don't wrap up, the line doesn't block, and the secondary is weak. They are an inexperienced team....that's what happens when you lose a senior class like Boone did. Nothing critical just calling it the way I see it.

This is a lose lose situation. If ya lose then you just got beat by a team that's bad and ur terrible. If ya win you jus beat a terrible team but ur still bad. Any of you TSSAA idiots who may give a hoot about your terrible officials it's not to late to make it to rogersville....has to be the worst officiating crew I've seen to date. They arent calling it on either team.....someone's about to get hurt.

I've heard alot of positive things about the Boone squad from this week in practice. Been alot of position changes and Boone was without a key defensive player last week. One player is not gonna change everything but it will help having Duncan back on the line. Sometimes it's better to lose a game than it is to win. I think this is the case. Don't count Boone out! Like I said the O and D lines haven't changed that much...the starters this year were seeing alot of playing time last year. They are seniors they've been in the system for 3 years they were apart of the last two years. Only difference is all of the pressure is on them now not just a little.
