  1. You have Hamby as MVP of the district and Ball and the twins on the all district team from OS...who else made it?
  2. I'm curious to see how the games go with the rest of the district and OS...right now it's looking pretty solid for OS with an almost 40 point win last night. How are the other district teams doing?
  3. Wasn't able to make it to any games last night, any interesting news on district teams? Also Heard some unsettling news last night, an OS player was sent by ambulance after the game? Anyone know what happened or how the player is doing?
  4. Also, just wondering how it won't even be close? You have several arguably better players such as: Thompson at Oakdale, Ball at OS, and Stephens at Oneida, just to name a few. Seems like the district MVP spot is going to be an extremely hard decision-Can't wait to see how everyone plays in the season!
  5. I saw Oliver Springs, Oakdale, and Oneida at the Roane State Camps...Oliver Springs looks to be pretty stacked with the amount of talent they have. Their starting five are looking extremely hard to keep up with. One team I saw them play they just ran to death and out-defenced them-They are going to be hard to keep up with. ...Oakdale is looking a little lost without Lindsey Kilby but I'm glad to see Nicole Thompson back to a more normal type game-play. Oneida looks as if they will be pretty decent this year. The new freshman guard they have is pretty good; in time I think she will develop to be quite hard to handle. Anything on Coalfield, Sunbright, Jellico, or Wartburg?
  6. Both teams played well, but the umps won the game for Rockwood.
  7. And you need a miracle to spell miracle right. I agree with everything except maybe South Pitt over Boyd...but anything can happen right?
  8. It’s supposed to be a distracting technique…people have used it for years. I wouldn’t quite blame the player with this one…..Probably was a ploy to distract the official to stop the game and keep them from shooting free throws…
  9. Funny how you weren't there but you 'heard' that happened...sounds like your more interested in gossip then games Congrats to Wartburg on the Distric Championship title!
  10. I have to agree, Wartburg/OS game was a good game...easy shots just missed by Oliver Springs and Wartburg lit it up behind the three line! As for the Oneida/Oakdale match...who took the win? How'd it go?
  11. Glad to hear that she is okay. And I would have to agree with 4aFan...Ball would be a hard one to replace, I can't say with her gone they would be at full strength to play the rest of the district. So Three weeks until District tournaments...How do you think everything is going to stack up?
  12. Heard OS point guard is out from last nights game vs Jellico? Any truth? I wasn't able to attend the game. If that young lady is out, I'm not sure if OS is going to be able to keep the #1 seed placement... Was anyone at the game last night that could verify this rumor?
  13. If it is at Oneida...Oneida. Playing at Wartburg is difficult at best, so if Oneida could keep it close at their place, I say they should be able to pull it off at home. Oneida has a good team. When they play well they can do good things...as can Wartburg, but I'm curious to see how this match plays out.
  14. So how did everything play out last night for district teams?
  15. I just wanted to comment on this, The OS Student Section did not "Heckle" Tori Phillips. I was at the game and the gym went deathly quiet, you could have heard a pen drop. If you want to say Oliver Springs plays dirty, then why didn't Ball and one of the twins go steal the ball from Tori when the ref wouldn't stop the play when she got hurt? It seems that you and Thrilla don't quite know what you're talking about. Oliver Springs obviously does know how to play basketball, for Thrilla to say that they don't is absurd. They are a scrappy team...as are most of the teams in District 4-A. I definitely have not seen play that deems them "Dirty" Players. As for my opinion, I still see District 4-A as a toss up. With Oakdale and Wartburg's point guard's out who knows what could happen? I don't see much changing, it will still be toss up in the end.
