McNairy might not be a slouch come February. GC beat them but they were in it until the 4th quarter. Crockett County is looking more and more like a team to be reckoned with.

Crockett has a lot of talent. Very dangerous team if all is clicking. We beat them by 15 in a scrimmage and later in week we played them in a 2 quarter Jamboree and they beat us by 10. They can definitely play with Westview. It wouldn't suprise me if Crockett County won the district. Wouldn't suprise me if Westview won it either but I think gap has narrowed.

Crockett County is a good team. I am not so sure they at least split with Westview.

Appreciate the compliment on Annie Bass. She works hard and is a good Christian girl and puts the man upstairs first and without him we wouldn't make it nowhere. She is a good player that is definitely a good shooter as is several of the other girls on the team. Annie can shoot it better than what she has so there is room for improvement. We have good shooters but a lot of the girls are just hesiant on shooting. Annie played about 3-4 minutes last night and didn't score and beat Westview by 24. She has been leading scorer multiple times but keep in mind she don't start and has to wait on an opportunity to see the floor. Poor offensive play and scoring 3 points in the fourth quarter cost us the Greenfield game last year. Difference in the Greenfield game this year vs last was we had 2 or three more threes and we full court pressed the whole game this year and evened up TO's and didn't at all last year. Can we be consistent enough on offense to make a serious run and avoid a loss to ????? Greenfield, Clarkrange, UC, Gleason, Dresden, TCA, Peabody? That is the big question. We played well last night but can we be consistent enough on offense to win the Gold Ball? Defense will be there. Has a lot of players and weapons. We will see. One bad offensive game can get you sent home early like last year.

I was impressed with Dresden the way they handled GC's press. Good team that will always be a tough out. Well coached. GC played well on offense first half and couldn't put Dresden away. They cut it to like 4 or so late. Union City, Dresden, Greenfield, and Gleason will have some battles. We have to play better and more consistent offensively. We play great defense. Dresden handled our press better than any team yet.

Westview replaced Graves with the other big girl which may be a drop off but not a death sentence. The PG you lost IMO wasn't the same since she tore hr ACL and yow basically played without her in the Boro last year right? You guys will be tough and probably the cream of the crop around here. Crockett is talented but you don't know what team will show up. Same with Dyersburg. The only team that will stop Westview will be Westview, IMO. We have you guys Saturday Night at GC. Should be a good one.

Summertown is a good team. Our defense has for sure carried us so far. I am like GC Pioneer. We have not shot the ball good all year yet. Summertown will be a scary team to play as the year goes on.

I bet it will be a good game. You guys always have shooters. Good test for both teams. We didn't play well against Greenfield and they didn't either. Looking forward to the matchup.

Glad Summertown is coming. Yow will be treated well. Girls will enjoy the gym and the atmosphere. Summertown came last year and played us in the preseason.

I was there and think both teams have to play better to make a State run like Greenfield did last year. Both teams had a ton of Turnovers and I think GC's press got Greenfield a little uncomfortable and GC hitting more three's was the difference in the game. Younger Darby definitely would have made a difference. But GC and Greenfield both have to get better and I think they will to make a run. Two good teams in a heavy weight fight that was a defensive war. Getting a victory over the defending State Champs is a confidence builder and hopefully we will get better. Look for these two possibly meeting in GC Christmas Tournament.

Appreciate it brother. You guys have little Darby you probably win that game. We played good defense but we had multiple TO's and shot the ball poorly. Give Greenfield credit with their defense and i thought their young girls played well to be freshman and will be in good shape with more experience in February. We are thankful for the win and hoping it will give us some confidence going forward. I think we had a little mental block against you guys.

Hope she gets better. We went through that last year. Won't everyone to play full staff. Prayer I pray every minute. We will see what happens tonight. Even though your down one, you will still be tough. Early season games are fun but you know it is how you are gelling in February and you guys did that last year well.. Gibson County will be a good team. We beat Gleason by 17 and Union City by 17 and played some freshman late in both games. We will be better later in the year as we were last year, IMO. We play Greenfield tomm.. Night. Yeah it is a big game early but we beat Greenfield or they beat us really don't matter until February. We press a lot and have been playing up tempo a lot so far. Still early. We lost our biggest post last year before tournaments and she is back but hasn't played her best yet. Still early.

What happend to younger Darby? Heard she got hurt. Hate to hear that.

Summertown will be in the Point Guard Classic at Gibson County Friday and Saturday. Always good to have some Middle Tennessee teams in our tournament. I think Summertown has Gibson County and USJ on Friday and Saturday. Look forward to watching them.

Coach at Clarksburg definitely gets every ounce of talent out of his players it seems. Very scrappy all the time.

I hope somebody will post if any changes are made. I haven't heard any facts of actual changes made. Just some players are not happy and looking around.

Huntingdon is losing a few pieces to their puzzle. The big post won't be missed at GC.

Changing teams could help, could hurt. Could cause disention among team and jealousy.

It is definitely a 365 day a year sport. Parents in West TN and the athletes have stepped up to the plate in baseball, softball and basketball especially.
