Why am I upset? Just because I am realistic? I am a SS fan! I am not a blind fan. I am just calling it how I see it. They don't guard, they gamble too much. I just said in my previous post how talented they are. Barford and Merriweather are great kids and I know them well. I wish them nothing but the best. I just don't think they will make it very far in the postseason...just my opinion based on what I see with my eyes, not what I read in the newspaper.

SS has 3 division 1 prospects on that team. How many does Bolivar have? How many does Liberty have? Answer: 0. They have more talent than anyone else in West TN, outside of AAA Memphis.

SS doesn't play any defense! Championship teams don't give up 70-80 points night in and night out. They just want to reach and gamble so they can go try to do some highlight dunk. They gave up 80+ to Bolivar both times, 74 to Middleton, 71 to Liberty and gave up 70 to JCM. I bet they don't make it out of region. They just don't guard.

I find it interesting also. Why can't they keep a coach? I do know that they will be down next year from where they have been in recent years... very little size or experience returning but they will still play hard and defend well like Liberty always has as long as Coach Green stays on board. Regardless, SouthSide is far and away the best team in AA.

Well, when the new principal fired Corey's mom, I think that may have burned a few bridges...smart move Gideon! You have an NBA player as an alumnus and you fire his mom? I think she was a teacher's aide at that...even if she's dead weight, she's got a lifetime contract if I am in charge. Just keep those donations rolling in! But that gives you an idea of the brainiacs who are making decisions over there. When Mrs. Grogan was principal, Corey came back all the time. He was also in college during that time but still...

I dont know, that place is where good coaches go to die. Single A talent in a AAA league. VERY unrealistic parents and administration; it was a forced resignation. Any coach taking that job is walking into a very tough situation. There are NO Corey Brewer's walking those hallways.

Go back and read the 9aa and 10aa, 9aa, 10aa and region 5aa threads and you will see that there was alot of trash talk from 10aa posters, maybe not from you, but from several others about a clean sweep and Sycamore getting blown out by maplewood, etc. 9AA takes pride in their basketball just like 10AA. We dont appreciate being called overrated, a down district, a lower level of compettion or any of the other false things that were said on here. Not sure why you are so defensive about it... if you didnt say any of those things, then NO ONE WAS TALKING TO YOU. And if you did say some of those things (which I will be looking into)and now are feeling the need to backtrack... dont! just admit you were wrong and try a little ketchup with your crow.

Yep. Bounced! This game looked like a layup drill with neither team getting back and playing much defense. I say "much defense" but CPA played NO defense. Maybe Coach Maddox's 2011/2012 recruiting class will be able to get it done since this year's couldnt. LOL! East Lit is a contender. They have three solid guards and 3 bulls in the post. They play Sycamore (25-6), who bounced Maplewood last night, tomorrow at 7pm at Vol State. Should be a good one.

Maplewood may beat Sycamore but they are NOT getting plastered! Sycamore has too much pride and play too hard to let that happen. Maplewood will have to earn it because the War Eagles arent going to give them anything but a dog fight. Keep doubting Sycamore, I think they like it better that way. Keep on hatin and we'll keep leaving you with the boo boo face. Hahahaha. WAR EAGLE!

I think it will be a good game. I think the way the game is officiated will go a long way in deciding this game also. I attended some 10AA tournament games and some 9AA tourney games. 10AA was much more physical and refs allowed alot more contact than the 9AA games. 9AA had more handchecks/touch fouls called. Not saying it creates an advantage either way but one of the teams will have to adjust to a different style.

No, Sycamore joined 9AA last year when they reclassified all the schools/districts. They were in the district with Creekwood, Harpeth, etc before though. Obviously, Sycamore is the better team since they were 9AA regular season and tournament champs. Macon and WH are solid teams but I am just not sure how they will handle the athleticism of the 10AA teams. Sycamore's non-district schedule was tough and full of athletic teams. i.e. West Creek, LaVergne, Wilson Central, Blackman, Kenwood, Beech, Cookeville, etc. All good AAA teams who are still playing, except Kenwood. If Sycamore loses this game it wont be because they werent prepared and played a cupcake schedule. It will be because they dont execute or play sound defensively. Macon is a tough place to play. They shoot the lights out at home and you cant get a call up there. If they arent in awe of the Panther's athleticism, they could pull an upset. White House/East Lit is an interesting matchup too. The WH 1-3-1 zone gives athletic teams problems especially if they cant shoot. i.e. Gallatin, Franklin-Simpson(KY). You cant drive against it because #4 flops if a stiff breeze comes through the lane. IF White House can rebound, they could shock the world. Big IF. Westmoreland has no chance. Lets be honest.

No, they attempted and made that many threes because White House plays zone the whole game, like amost everyone else in the district, because they cant stay in front of Sycamore's pg. They also have an all-distict/all-tournament post player that's about 6'4 and strong as a bull. So really, you kinda have to pick your poison. But I think their strength is their pressure defense, which they didnt show much during tournament play, and their depth.
