I am happy. Nothing wrong with having faith in your team! And I totally agree with this post. WH, GB, and GP have been in the same district for awhile but with the new additions from last year it is nice to see some new rivalries developing as well. It's been a great season and I can't wait to see how this tournament shakes out. Also looking forward to watching 9AA upset all those arrogant 10aa fans that are overlooking us. I have seen CPA, East Lit, and Maplewood play. Haven't seen Lipscomb yet and when I saw Maplewood it was early in the year before their football kids were back. How much do they help? From the boxscores it appears that they are a perimeter oriented team. I watched CPA vs EL at CPA and it wasnt a game from the opening tip. East couldnt keep Bradshaw out of the lane. He did whatever he wanted, when he wanted to do it. It was impressive. Lindsay had a pretty good game but not great and Allsmiller was ice cold from deep but it didnt matter. CPA just blasted them. I left the game really unimpressed with East because I had heard that they were this press from buzzer to buzzer, get up in your face team, fast-paced team and they absolutely were not. They may have pressed 5 possesions in the first half,(left at half because I was so disappointed in the lack of competitiveness) part of the problem may have been that they couldnt score to get in their press, idk but East just got smacked in the mouth and laid down in this one. So from what I have seen personally, I would say CPA is clear number 1. Keep in mind I have only seen each play once and Maplewood was really early on.

White House needed ot to beat Goodpasture??? Looks more like what WH did saturday was a fluke. WH gets beat by Westmoreland and sneaks by GP. Sycamore beats Westmoreland by 36 and GP by 25 at GP. Can't wait for that rematch.

I disagree. Those kids work just as hard as everyone else and when they get an opportunity to play, coach tells them not to play, just hold it. No way. They have earned that moment, in my opinion.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The reason the bench went crazy against Goodpasture was because a kid that had been a manager for the team until his junior year, worked his butt off all year, got to dress varsity, got in the game and had a steal, a rebound, a free throw and an assist on the 3 at the buzzer. If you dont think it is a great thing for our team to be excited for him, you dont have a heart. And against Greenbrier that "some kid" is a freshman who has an older brother on the team who is a senior. It was the first and maybe the only time they were on the floor together. The senior Fuqua passed the ball to the freshman Fuqua and he scored. Those are special moments for our team and we don't really care what you think about it because those kids will remember that forever.

Why would I be upset about that? Coach Welch at Macon Co is one of the good guys in coaching, unlike the chosen one at CPA. His kids play hard and he does a great job with the kids he has. He doesnt go steal them from other places. Really looking forward to the Sycamore/Macon game on monday. Sycamore better take care of business tomorrow though. War Eagle!

Well it doesn't look like Greenbrier is gonna be a contender for the district title after all. Sycamore pounded them by 45 last night and it could have been about 60 if they had not taken the press off.

White House and Sycamore are both playing pretty well right now. You are already talking about substate? White House's 1-3-1 is tough to score on, as is Sycamore's pressure. White House has won 6 of their last 7 including a win over Gallatin and Sycamore has played one of the toughest schedules in the state for a AA, winning 9 of their last 10 including wins over Blackman, Smyrna, and Wilson Central. They also held a subpar Greenbier team to 28 pts last nite. Now... 10AA could very well sweep 9AA come tourney time but it wont be easy! Both of these teams will be a tough out.

Yeah Siegal may be on the list and they may even get back to state but whoever makes it out of Memphis will drill them (just like last year) and walk through the tournament until they face another Memphis team. So you might as well make the top ten AAA teams from Memphis because that is who is bringing home the gold ball.
