  1. Friend? Or "another" relative? Maybe you have several screen names? In any case,I would hang onto their name and number in case you need a character witness fairly soon. Owlhead, "wise words", it certainly is just a game. Definately not worth "selling" your soul for.
  2. Once again, I AGREE! MOST ARE GREAT! Some are not. Some lie to win because that is all they care about. Not the girls. They take their God given talent and use it for their glory. They become proud and can no longer accept defeat as an option even if it means sacrificing their integrity. Again, let me be clear as I can. I have had more contact with coaches than probably most on this site. 95% have been awesome. That is a good percentage, don't you think? So don't label me a coach basher.
  3. Stalagmite, I agree with your statement. Pointing fingers is wrong. I look in the mirror and know I am a sinner, like we all are, and praise God for Jesus! I also know I have clean hands and a pure heart, and, most importantly, so does God. I have NEVER harmed an innocent person in ANY way. In fact, the opposite. I am in the profession of healing. May I ask you a question? Do you believe in rules or a code of conduct? I am sure you do. Sometimes being a Christian is hard and unpopular. If you are never uncomfortable then you are probably not really living like one. Sometimes you have to speak up when no one else will. The TSSAA has failed this district and the whole state. You said you do not have a dog in this hunt. Maybe you would feel differently if he were and he was hunting against a lion that the owner claims to be a dog. Maybe you shouldn't judge those that have ALREADY been "thrown under the bus" by the ones you are defending. Proverbs 17:15 Proverbs 24:23-25
  4. Unfortunately, all professions have negative. Wouldn't you agree? Don't you think the good ones would like the bad ones weeded out?
  5. You are right. I do have a problem. I have a problem with injustice. I know someone else that does, too. Read Psalms 64 and Isaiah 61:8. These are in the Bible. You probably don't own one since your Sunday mornings are spent on the softball fields.
  6. Orangeandwhite, you don't even know who ISTHATRIGHT is? Another great performance! Bravo! Do you remember TigerHawk? I sure do. So tell me, what malicious rumors is he spreading this year?
  7. I have had the honor of working with and becoming friends with over a hundred coaches. No, exaggeration. MOST, with the exeption of maybe 4 or 5, have been (and still are) REALLY great! I have a few kids that have played/playing several sports. So I do have a little experience. Also, my husband has coached several years. This was not a jab at good coaches. Like I said, they know who they are.
  8. Softballjunk, I would have to disagree with you when you say it was not the responsibility of DC in some way. How would they feel if teams in their district were breaking the rules and nobody seemed to care about how it affected them? When is it ever "okay" to stand by and watch something going on that you know is not right? Answer: NEVER
  9. Since you are a close relative and co-conspirator you already know. Isn't the whole act getting a little exhausting?
  10. Cougarfang, I said Dickson IS doing great! That is present tense, meaning This year. It may be two years old but I just saw it and the last time I checked this is America and I can comment on any topic on this board no matter how old. Are you really a Cougar?
  11. 1. Politician- This one is easy. Excellent at spinning the truth. Familiar with scandal. 2. Lawyer- Capable of confusing the simple-minded by the distortion of ethics, morals, or rules of conduct. 3. Chiropractor- Mastering the art of manipulation is key. 4. A Pimp- Ability to use and degrade others is essential. Preferrably young, naive girls. 5. Accountant- Are numbers and statistics getting you down? No problem, just "fudge 'em". Need an error to be a hit or vice-versa? With an eraser and your imagination the sky is the limit! 6. Farmer- Comfortable with living, working, hanging around, and spreading manure. 7. A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing- Or is it "cheap clothing"? Anyway, you get the picture. 8. Magician- Capable of making the dreams of young girls, parents, coaches, schools, and teams just "disappear". 9. Or any job that glorifies and rewards scheming, plotting, or convoluting.(That's kinda a big word. Take Tylenol for a headache). Most coaches are great! Those that are know who they are and won't need this list. The rest, however, also know who they are (if they still have a conscience).
  12. "Nothing to hide?" I've heard THIS quote before. I think this was a favorite of Bill Clinton and OJ Simpson!
  13. ISTHATRIGHT,you are correct, MrNoitAll does know what he's talking about when it comes to softball. Unfortunately, from a few comments I have read, he doesn't appear to be as insightful when he labels one coach in particular as "good" or "one of the best". When I find out who he is I plan on enlightening him. I have teaching material he might find interesting. And by the way, I won't drive myself crazy figuring out who YOU are-I already know.
  14. Softballjunk, are you still out there? Dickson is doing great! You are right about rules not being enforced. Did you or anyone else ever contact the TSSAA? I heard they did but that their "so called" investigation consisted of only speaking to the accused themselves. If this is true, then the TSSAA is pathetic. Hey, TSSAA, do your JOB! By the way, the player you are talking about wasn't the only one that had played for another team the year before coming there.
  15. Thank you again for accepting my apology. I have been around/played softball most of my life. I have been reading this site for only a few years. A few things have prompted me to begin posting but I will try hard to take your advice. I really cannot believe no one has laid claim to the "mrsnoitall"! I feel fortunate to have gotten it!
  16. Dear MrNoitAll, I did feel bad to going off the other night. It really wasn't meant toward you. I am truly sorry and I hope you will forgive me. I really just felt sorry for Lucy44 coz I felt like she was being ganged up on. I do agree with her, but I took it too far. Sorry. We are all entitled to our opinions, however, we should all try harder to be more considerate of other's feeling, especially the players. Again, I really am sorry and I didn't mean it toward anyone in particular. To Redstitch, If you think your kid can do it better, by all means, have at it! Get off your behind, fork over the cash, and put her in lessons. If not, then work on hitting and defense to better support the poor girl on the mound. It is not ALL up to the pitcher.
  17. Lucy44, Good for you! Way to stand up for your daughter and your team. I totally agree with you. I think it's probably best if we just overlook these low-class wannabees. Maybe they couldn't get a girlfriend in high school, (forget college-coz' I'm pretty sure they didn't go!) Maybe their brains are just underdeveloped ( you know, like their manners). Or I'm betting any grown man so completely obsessed with girl's softball is trying to overcompensate for some physical inadequacy! Who are you to judge a girl's motive for playing? How many will actually make any money playing softball? Many that do get scholarships decide it's not worth it. GIRLS- BE SMART-MAKE GOOD GRADES-SCORE HIGH ON YOUR ACT AND DON'T DATE LOSERS, LIKE THESE!
  18. Current? Drama? Some would call it scandal. And you are correct, there does seem to be a lot surrounding them. Especially, for such a new program. In regards to your term "doing it right", please reread the thread "2010 District 11AA Season". That term was actually used by howdoitknow. MrNoitAll did have an interesting quote in the thread "What's Next?" He heard someone say once, "It ain't cheatin' unless you get caught!" Perhaps this is the MrNoitAll quote regarding "the Creek" you were thinking of?
  19. Sorry, Lions4ever, but the TSSAA really isn't worth much. At least not in your new district. Best of luck to you, though. You will have to overcome a lot to get a fair shake against some there. Actually, more like divine intervention.
