  1. Bearden-Hendersonville final score: 1-0, Dawgs with the victory. Hendersonville had a few chances, especially in the last few minutes, but Bearden's keeper Noggle went clutch in the closing seconds. I don't know the exact shot count, but Bearden definitely dominated that aspect. There were so many missed shots for Bearden that were just inches shy, but I must admit the refs did help Bearden out a bit. BigG, you're correct with the Siegel/Germantown game. Also I heard that the red card on Tanner Thompson in the West game was a soft red.
  2. West's keeper injured in the first few minutes, he was wearing a sling at the end of the game. Hope he gets better, great game by both teams. Bearden just dominated the second half, Thompson did a great job at goal. However, at the last 30 seconds on a West free kick, Thompson (who was playing keeper) got in to Bearden's box, leaving the goal to be defended by a lone defender. When Bearden denied any chance at a last second goal, on the counter attack they were called offsides, but that defender was still at their goal. Oh well, 2-0 is still a dominating performance by the dogs. Again, hope Bogie gets well!
  3. I knew I wasn't the only one that saw the negativity in West!
  4. Not sure if this is exactly the same as Big G's, if so, my bad BEARDEN INVITATIONAL SCHEDULE Wed Apr 7 6pm McCallie vs CAK 8pm Bearden vs West Thu Apr 8 6pm CAK vs Gallatin 8pm Maryville vs Hendersonville Fri Apr 9 430 Gallatin vs Notre Dame 610 West vs McCallie 750 Siegel vs Germantown 930 Bearden vs Hendersonville 700 Cordova AT Catholic – at Catholic High School Sat Apr 10 9am Germantown vs Maryville 11am Notre Dame vs Siegel 1pm McCallie vs Catholic 3pm Gallatin vs West 5pm Hendersonville vs CAK 7pm Bearden vs Cordova Sun Apr 11 9am Catholic vs Germantown 11am Cordova vs West 1pm Bearden vs Siegel 3pm Maryville vs Notre Dame
  5. Good match-up; I see Bearden winning 3-0 or 3-1. West is extremely talented, specifically Thompson and McCoy. The two, however, (I noticed in previous showdowns between the two schools, anybody else?) have a superiority complex over their other teammates, which is evident when they complain about a certain teammate on their own team being "terrible" and asking their coach to take this player off the field (I noticed this at last year's regular season matchup). This superiority complex can change the way a player plays with his "inferior" teammates (such as avoiding passing with the player), which can change the outcome of the game. Bearden on the other hand, I feel, is disciplined well enough to avoid these types of inner-team resentment, thus performing like a united team. Bearden is solid at defense, while West relies way to heavily on throw ins. The Dogs also have a fierce midfield, lead by Harmony, and some hungry forwards, such as Burke. Again, West is a great team, I believe just not enough to overcome the Bulldogs. Good luck to both teams!
