This TBCA state team is missing a few good ones. I'm shocked there are NO Dyer County players on there and that the Dodd kid from Northside isn't either. ??? I'm in NO WAY saying that the ones who did make it shouldn't have, but I would like to see the actual stats for all of these players.

When does that team get announced? Or has it already been announced? Hadn't heard....

Well if you don't make the call you not doing your job because you get paid to get the calls right and if he was out the box no matter what part of the game rules are rules. Simple. Umpires don't have the balls to make right calls because they are ready to get a check and go clearly in this case he knows the terms of rules SHUT UP ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness....who got him Cardinal tickets? I want some! and the kid's dad who drives the bus was a starter WAY before his dad even got a license to drive a bus! In addition that kid has made all district 3 years in a row, got district MVP, and contributes quite a bit to the team so I don't think he's being played JUST because his daddy drives the bus.... didn't see where anyone said anything about a coach saying that. And I'll promise you the DC coach would never say that. He takes the guys he has and plays the best 9 regardless of age, last name, etc.

Yes it IS a new day! But please take your accusations elsewhere; as far as I know as a parent I can beg and plead for anyone to come to the same school my child attends for whatever reason. But you see, we here at Dyer County do not have to do that because kids WANT to attend high school here. It really IS that simple.

sorry no one has replied to you, but he was tossed from the game. had to sit rest of game in dugout and he's never gotten that upset about any call. questioned calls, yes, but not so upset that he got confined to the dugout. it's a new day and the team and coaches are more determined than ever. one person here said the team should have taken advantage of their last at bat, which is normally true, but how do you compose yourself after that? Especially at 15, 16 & 17 years old?

Were YOU there? And for the very last time, Justafan1234, if it were YOUR TEAM you would do the exact same thing! We are here defending our players because they DID get that title stripped from them! Darlin I am NEVER jealous of Northside or anyone else for that matter. If DC baseball was 0 and 25 I would still rather be a Choctaw than an Ind.....well, anyone else! And further more, no one is crying about a loss, just the terrible call and if you know anything about baseball you would know better yourself. All games will/should be close at this point. Enjoy your "district championship" and hope you can keep it close against Arlington. Choctaws = 3 wins Indians + 2 umpires = 2 wins

Brighton run the tournament and they knew they were from Jackson. It's fine to know the coaches, but don't give high fives and knuckles to the players.....inappropriate! As for the fans, NS fans are just as bad. Don't have a clue about the giving the bird from DC but everyone heard the vulgar words from one NS fans. He was getting quite trashy. Then he was yelling at #10 to get off the plate or see what you get when you hug that plate he got a hit but not too long after that #10 was beamed in the head and NS crowd clapped. Their catcher was down and our players took a knee and the DC crowd were encouraging him to hang tough and clapped as he returned to play. DC pitcher went down and their fans said, "that's what you get for not walking him" yep, that's class right there. So do not even act like DC fans are bad. NS would have been screaming just as loud and complaining just as much as we are about that call. Heck ANY team would have. Our administration, coaches, parents and players have been receiving calls non-stop from other coaches, fans, parents and players all over Tn in complete support of Dyer County's complaints. And again I say, ROLL ON CHOCTAWS, ROLL ON!

You must have not seen the right video. The umpire made the call tight away and if you look st the batter and the pitch it was a outside curve ball. Yes it should be sent to Tssaa to show what fans do to ruin the game. It don't matter where the games was if it's the 15th inning and he steps out the box he's out but nothing can be done he made the call live with it. ....... ......... YOU WISH YOU WERE A CHOCTAW!

Justafan1234 you sound more upset about DC Fans than they are about the call. What's with you? Don't like the thread, stay off of it. DCHS fans are hardly "your worst fans". They are quite supportive of their kids though.

I disagree with you, THERE IS NO BOX! we could argue all day about it and I just don't have the energy. DC will move on. DC players are upset, yes, but their fans are down right FURIOUS! They've already played Bartlett! And it didn't matter WHO or WHERE they play, it's just a simple FACT that the umpire made a TERRIBLE CALL! To the one who thinks he's outside the box, show us a box. Look at the 2nd video and tell me why the call wasn't made then! Is the principle of the matter. WRONG IS WRONG!

I don't even know what to say since everything that comes to my mind isn't appropriate. Choctaws, you won that game FAIR and SQUARE! Keep your heads up because you did EVERYTHING RIGHT!!!!

slapper, he DID give the DCHS guys credit, see the statement "..sophomores pitching both games and they handled him really well.." that was credit to the DCHS pitcher. And no one is trying to tear down ANYTHING that Cord has worked for. Just making simple, factual statements. Sorry you can't handle that. Both dcballer and I wished Cord the very best and really hope he makes it BIG TIME! SO get off your soap box and appreciate some great baseball! Try going back and reading through were I stated how teams improve over throughout the season. I actually gave kuddos to your NS TEAM for making such adjustments to get where they are.
