Eagleville's Mr. Football finalist Chris Hale suffered knee injury on their 2nd series of the game. Report it looks like a torn acl. He was carted off the field. Eagleville was driving at Adamsville 40. Eagleville later scored a touchdown that was called back k on off setting personal fouls but o didn't see a foul by either team. Next play an Adamsville player kicked an Eagleville player after the play and off setting personal fouls called again. 16-0 Adamsville just scored a late touchdown less than a minute to go. Had Hale not been lost it very well could e been a different outcome.

I remember that but I"m hoping it's more like the A tournament outcome in 2012 at Blackman High School and man was that a game, one of the Adamsville boys flat out stole a game winning liner that my son hit on a great diving play in left field but the Eagles pulled that one out and went on to finish runner up at State that year.

That's my guess, Eagleville has a good field as you know but it was wet and tore up pretty good last week and another heavy rain won't help at all. A game that I would've expected to be in the high 20's for both teams on a dry field could stay in the teens. Turnovers could decide it too. I vote no rain but the big Guy upstairs will have the say on that.

Decent size not what I'd call huge by any means but very good. On average they've graduated 10-15 players a year so I'd say you have juniors and seniors mostly on the line. The QB and primary RB are both seniors. They have good speed in at least one receiver and decent size there. QB has a strong arm and usually good accuracy. Defense is fast and swarms the ball. What's the average size on Adamsville's O and D lines? What year are your QB and skill positions?

Now Now I think that comment is meant for a different kind of message board...lol, just kidding. No such luck, it's a pretty wide open to so wind could be a big factor, you have a sod farm on one end of the stadium by the highway and pasture on the other end so there's not wind buffer. Better break out the good rain gear. I just hope none of the boys from either team get hurt if they're playing in a mud hole. I will say that Eagleville has one of the better fields you will see and it's on somewhat high ground.

I think the "not showing everything goes both ways. Both coaching staffs are very good from everything I know and both will add some wrinkles to their formations, sets etc probably on both sides of the ball some of which will be due to what they see on film and some on what they feel will give a different look but in the end they will both depend on their bread and butter.

Well, I just took a look a the weather and it's calling for 50% chance of rain for Friday night. Not what I was hoping for on a cool night.

No I'm sure you don't but since you put your opinion out there I have a right to mine as well. Should be a good game.

Not knowing them is not a good reason to pick a 10 point win. The size thing could be a factor but they have speed and a swarming defense. I think it'll a close one could go either way.

Both teams are pretty physical, I know Eagleville's Hale is not big but he's a punishing runner with a lot of lower body strength and i'm sure Adamsville's back will tote the lumber too from what I've heard. I think it's gonna be a close hard fought game could go either way.

That hitting thing will go both ways. The Hale kid has one of the best stiff arms I've seen. I think we'll see a close ball game less than 7 point spread.

What's your thoughts on this matchup? Adamsville from my understanding brings in a bit younger team but has size and speed from what I've heard with a stingy D and a good run game. I don't know as much on them as I do Eagleville. Eagleville also has a good defense allowing just a hair over 8 points per game. They also have a good run game with a Mr. Football finalist at RB who has 1800+ yards this year. Their quarterback is also very good with size and an arm with good accuracy. This may be a size vs. speed matchup. Both teams are well coached and class programs. Should be a good close game barring turnovers. Neither team had too much trouble with their matchup this week. I don't know what it was like at Adamsville but the fog was so thick in Eagleville you couldn't see the stands on the Loretto side of the field. It reminded me of the Chicago/Philadelphia game back in the 80's when you couldn't see the field from the stands. If you're coming up from Adamsville the Mexican restaurant is good in Eagleville but will be full most likely. If you get up early enough Murfreesboro is an extra 15 minutes and has about anything you want to eat. Demos is top notch for steak and very inexpensive but be there before 5 or you'll have a 30 minute wait. It'll take you 30 minutes from there to get back to Eagleville so give yourself time to make the game.

You're funny, GURU is right on it, Trousdale is down a bit this year they only went 10-0. How would you know if they're down, have you seen them play, your opinion and/or judgement is clouded with loyalty, it's fine to pull for your region but Trousdale is a contender every year. They may very well beat GC.

Now hold on there, first you left out Trousdale County who's always in it and on the Middle Tennessee thing, Rutherford County in particular, technically speaking You have Oakland and Blackman in 6A and odds are one of those will be in Cookeville....I know, I know you were just talking about 2A...or maybe not, doesn't matter. One of those will be there.

Truth be told the majority of the teams in 2A (west bracket) only have on average maybe 3 decent teams in each of their districts, (I know, I've looked at all the playoff teams schedules). Trinity Christian would be the exception being a private school they have played a pretty solid schedule. That being said you then have to look at things like points scored and points allowed and number of opponents that made the playoffs. Eagleville allowed an average of just over 8 points a game and averaged probably 30+ points a game. Not saying they'll be anywhere, I'm sure some of the other "better" teams in this thing have done similar. They all have to go out and play the game and anything can happen from turnovers to injuries etc, that can change the outcome. Eagleville is an up and coming program and has continued to improve yearly and they have one of the best coaching staffs out there. My opinion is that either Eagleville, Adamsville or Trinity Christian will come out of the west. No matter who does they will likely face a juggernaut in either Trousdale or Grace Christian. Just my opinion.
