Just plain talk is what these young men need, so it doesnt bother me when others disagree with me. I only give what others are thinking in this young mans talent. As far as scouting goes , I know what some are saying about this young man, he just wouldnt fit the mode we are looking for. You can talk here but its when the pressure is applied and the pitches count that I am looking for.

I scouted him this Spring for a few colleges, He has a good arm however in college without the presence of a hard changeup and being able to place to ball at critical times. We feel by the 3rd or 4th inning he would be finished. Ok High school pitcher, below Average college pitcher!

As a Admiral fan and baseball fan,this was a good year, however I did notice a dropoff this year in talent and I wonder if it may continue. It seems baseball across the state is very weak, I personally have talked to college recruiters from around the area and they as I feel too much pressure is being applied by underage baseball traveling teams. I have been involved in recruitment for years and I honestly can say I do not watch a child below the age of 14. First it is illegal to even notice a child. I noticed at a Local youth tournment that many dads and moms are trying to relive their lives through their children. To many young arms are being damaged by the win at all cost attitudes. The coached at this age do not understand or care enough to care for the child. I believe many high school programs are very weak at talent and only a few teams can continue to progress. This will make the state easy to attain. Expect this trend to continue.

If Maryville dont win it all and go undefeated it will be ashame. They have every football player in east tennessee playing for them. Poor Lenior city and Loudon has be cleaned out! But really does it matter when they get to college they arent very good College football players, Most of them are playing at Maryville college, boy they are winners! I THINK ITS CALLED BURNOUT!

Oskie, As I Have said it was a couple of local elected officials, Anderson co is well known for its good ole boy network! I just heard from a Oak Ridge parent this morning about the situation in Oak Ridge who was there at the district tournment last year. It was very hurtful to the entire tournment and was a real show I heard. I heard that some of the officials have said they will not call any ACHS games this year because of it. Also word has it that the Oak Ridge coach from last year may be the next coach at ACHS. It is intresting also that she had ask to be with her kids this coming year more. I commend her for wanting to spend more time with her children but cant blame her for thinking about this job. I also heard that both ADS jobs in Anderson co schools may be cut this year. The thinking is that the asst. principles cant handle the jobs at ACHS AND CHS. ANY truth to these rumors from Anderson co? Good Luck to the girls at ACHS and I honestly hope they can move forward, if only the adults would remove themselves for just a few and enjoy the moments with them.

James, Everyone knows that the principle was in agreement with the coach until the pressure was applied from outside. If coaches cant make decisions about players then why have coaches? Let the Principles decide about the school teams. However, What is done is done! All I was doing was saying what is known by most people in the volleyball community. Good luck everyone!

Has anyone heard of the new Coach At ACHS? I honestly hope they do not hire as we did from within our parents. We were told that Knox co wouldnt be able to justifly hiring from outside the system. I know I have stirred the pot here but At interest is the girls who all work so hard. I heard this morning that someone is being considered for the job at ACHS. However they had to work on bringing someone in from outside the system while letting teachers go across the county. I heard also this may be a issue and some teachers are not happy about losing their jobs while bring in a volleyball coach from the outside. If this is true this could become a mess, I hope it doesnt take away from this upcoming season . Again My heart is in the Lady Admirals but also with all the young ladies who work so hard.

Did anyone see the playoff game last year, Clinton coaches simply got smoked By ACHS coaches! Clinton was loaded with talent but where was it? And add josh Kerr to your staff? Better watch out Dad will be not far behind him!

James your right as a coach you handle it, As the coach she did! But the Principle decided he knew better and turned on the coach. As he knows he did! And the AD was probably not even aware of this mess until the day of the coach quitting. Afterall he is just the AD. She without a doubt couldnt support that decision and called it quits. As anyone with any common sense would do or any heart. This will be a fun year in the stands at ACHS. Bet security will love it! Wished I was there! All I am doing is reporting what is being said out in the coaching ranks and volleyball community. All I hear is call the school and set up a meeting with these folks, WHY? This concerns me not! The truth is the AD is in with the principle, dont worry he will be cared for as long as he does as told! Funny thing is the AD had nothing to do with this situation! He did what he was told to do. Coward seems to be the The name of this whole situation. COWARD TO STAND UP TO PARENTS!

Clinton will be back to being Clinton again this year. you cant replace Stone and Hazelhurst, everyone saw that against AC last year in the playoff game. ID say 4 or 5 wins! PLEASEEEEEE!

Congrads to all the fine young ladies who played this season, there is alot of talent in East Tennessee and its nice to see the teams laugh together and enjoy playing this game.

Why would I want to talk with the principle and his hand picked AD? I honestly could care less, but this is a message board about the issue and volleyball across the state. I recieved a call from a source close to this issue and I posted that Coach Wade had resigned. I just wondered why a coach who was 120-21 would just quit? I find it very interesting that all I hear is call the principle and AD and get a meeting. WHY? Again its already out across the district and the state. When the fight begins in the stands again, will the principle be there to stop it? Hopefully no kids will be hurt or the proud tradition of ACHS will hold steady! And I hope ACHS can get the very best coach for their kids and look forward to playing them this year! And yea I do know who PRESSURED, ILL assure all that! GO lady Admirals!

I agree that this had to be the coaches decision but it should never had come to this. When the coach makes a decision concerning a player or players on his or her team why would the principle even want to get involved. Support the decisions made by all your coaches in your programs (within reason) or risk continue losing great young coaches. Concerning the officials who pressured this decision they should be more worried about the future of Anderson Co than with a player on a team. They certainly know who they are as I do and I hope they are proud of themselves for trying to ruin a coaches profession. I would say a school in west knox co will have a great coach next season. GO ADMIRALS!

I think the truth is out already! Simply put the Principle did not stand behind his coach! And the coach had enough. He was ok with the decision until a little pressure came from the outside. Again who is running the school? I think everyone knows. OSKIE BY THE WAY THIS IS CALLED A MESSAGE BOARD. If I feel it would make any difference I certainly would meet with the principle but the decision is already made. I wish ACHS the best this year. Hopefully their girls will get through this mess!

I dont think the principle wants to talk to anyone anymore. This is another way that the kids now run our schools. Coaches no longer have any authority to manage their programs. Also I heard a couple of county officials got involved dont worry you will hear the peoples voice in the next elections. Good luck to Coach Wade someday the principles decision will haunt him!

I have heard It is true about the issues with a parent, and the principle refused to stand up with the coach. However word has it that Coach Cantrell is 100% ACHS. I believe this will be his lat year of coaching and he will retire from the ranks. Parents need to understand that this is high school sports, we can question their calls but the team belongs to the coaches on the floor. Maybe the next coach will also let this child go because of parental issues. This is a very good job that has caught the interest of many coaches across this state.

Coach Wade and Huband are expecting their first child. However I m sure this was a shock to all involved. She is a constant detailed coach. Had a very young team last year with 2 freshman Starting upfront and 1 back row freshman. Dont worry ACHS will return to form quickly, Great senoir leadership and maybe one of the best defensive players in the state in Number 1, who will start her fourth year for ACHS. Ive heard a bunch of high end coaches are ,some coaching now in this area. I hope coach Wade the best in the future , she will return in the future!
