AGREE, Boone's QB play is just weak, the running game was the only bright spot all night. The defense has already given up 58 pts in 2 games, something has to change. These boys need to take a long look at themselves. We need to tighten up them cleats and get to work. Good Luck, and Boone Pride.

NICE, i like it. But do we have the talent to stop them. We lost alot of talent last year,we lost kids who had started for 3 years on both sides of the ball and that is hard to replace. As far as the coaching part of this game, don't know alot about Cherokee's coaches but i do know that Jenkins is a pretty good coach. I do remember 2 years ago at Tn. High when they blowed us out and like 3 or 4 weeks later he put together a great game plan. I do agree with Cap 1 about getting pressure on the QB, so do you blitz, run stunts, rush 3 and drop 8 in coverage? Man i love football.Should be fun to watch either way, so see ya at the game. I was at the game last Friday night, and what i took from the game was that Boone got beat up front on both sides of the ball.IMO the defense HAS TO, and I MEAN they have to get more physical and HIT people, with feeling. Defense is about Heart, attitude, team work, working together, and having a mean streak a mile long. I think they can turn it around, but it has to start Friday night, starting 0-2 would be hard to over come. By the way, did you play for Boone, or Jenkins at another school? Because i think that this weeks pratice will center around getting pressure on the QB, the Secondary, and Tackling. The offence moved the ball with the screen pass, so look for of the same this week to help the running game. Good Luck Blazers, hit'em hard and often.

OK, they have moved the game to Sull. Central the boys play at 7 the girls play at 5. there is a 3 pt. shoot out, but not sure about dunk contest. Plus they will be playing 2 20 min. halves. The 1st pratice went good, lots of "O". Would'nt be surpised if they put up 100 pts.

Not sure about 3 point and dunk contest, but the game to be at 8:00 p.m. this Sat. @ Sull. East. T.N. All- Stars, i think, will be wearing there own white uniforms. My son played in the All-Star football game vs. S.W. VA. and that was a beat down. Hope this is a little closer. Not sure how our D-fense will be, but the "O" should be in high gear. I haven't seen all our kids play, but for the ones that i have seen, they are very hard nosed and bring a blue collar attitude when it comes to the "D" end, sure they will play great together. GO TN. The game is to be played at Sullivan East High School on April the 9th. But not sure what time just yet, After they have there 1st pratice i should know the times.

Any word on the players in this game, i know a few from TN.: Lyle from Unico, Wenchell from central, Chandley from Boone, Ellis from Tn. High, the guard from Hampton, Garland from Crockett, i think Potter from Cloudland. If anyone has more info please post. the game to be played at Sull. East on April 9th. Not true, i know for a fact that Boone has 3 playing in the all-star game that play Baskettball. Dont think that the coach was very happy, but you cant blame a kid who gets this chance to play with kids they have played against. As for all Big 8, Boone had Chuck Harris #50, Eathan Good #52, Kevin Connell #16 (2nd year making 1st team) ,Traqvis Keever #14, & Hayden Chandley #9 ( 3rd year making 1st team). bristol paper had it in the sports paper 11/26/2010.

Well T.S. i have not miss a game in 4 years, and this bunch that we are loosing is going to be real hard to replace. We are loosing at least 6 on the Def. side of the ball, and i think counting the 2 QB's about 8 on the Off. side. Dont get me wrong the Freshmen looked real inpressive this year, but they have no varsity experince, i think they might be down next year a little, but will be better the following year. This coaching staff is great and i dont mean just at football. I think that DB will win it all agagin next year, the HIll will be much better, but still a year away from be a power house, after watching our freshmen play South and TN. High i think they maybe down in the next year or 2. As for Crockett well they are just Crockett, should have made the playoffs, but they stumped there toe at Vol. Just IMO, Wish the best of luck to everyone next year. Now its time to play a little B-Ball. P.S. FB, your boy made 1st team all-Con for the 3rd year in a row. Do you know if anyone else has done that at Boone?

Hey FB, still have that shirt. Here you got stuck in traffic. As you may have heard Boone played there tails off, but the turnover bug just kept biteing us. But why i posted on here you still have one more chance to see your boy play, he made the Northeast TN. VS. Southwest VA. All-Star team. Along with #'s 16,1,50,52,& your boy #9. Game to be played Dec. 18. not sure what time yet. Needless to say Coach Arnold was not pleased to here he was playing, But as i told him this is a once in a life time oppertunity. Plus he is very stokked about playing with the best Upper East TN. Sr. So i hope you get a chance to come. The game is being played at S. HILL. We will try on the shirt, depends on what they have left. As for the seat, that should be no problem. FUB not sure on the Muskett Bowl shirt they sold them at Crockett this year. We had a real nice fan and player and cheerleader gathering tonight on the feild to Pray for the safty of both teams, we have been doing this for a couple years, and they will do it again in the morning at 7:20 A.M. Only time will tell, our common opp. is TN High and South, TN high scored with :08 left in the game to make it 24-10 and the last time we played South we shut them out. What are the stands like on the vistors side, and is there plenty of parking? Praying for an injury free game. Is it Friday yet?

We have heard just how fast and big K-West is. In another thread a west fan said we would be shell shocked. Win or lose i dont think Boone will be shocked or shelled. This game (IMO) will be close, Early in the year we got blowed out at south ( had like 7 turnovers) and DB ( was a 7 pt. game @ the half). But since then our D has been strong and played the run very well. From what little film i have seen on K-West looks like they run 3 down linemen and walk up 2 on the outside and bring at least 1 off the corner. If boone can run the ball this game will come down to the 4th quarter and maybe the kickers,Boones kicker can kick it well, but had an off night vs. South. BOONE PRIDE.

Yeah, i think i found a couple of shirts for you, you fit in a youth medium. just kidding. just what do you know about knox west, off. do they run more than pass or is it 50/50? I am sure they are bigger and faster than us, but we been in this situation before. You know these boys they just love being the under dog, and i know you have heard it before, but they have a drive and heart like nothing i have seen before. No matter what happens BLAZERS, you guys have given this ole boy some memories in the last few years that will last a life time. Lets hope this is a start to some Blazers traditions that will last for years to come. Thanks for all the support from all our Big 8 foes. We know that not all fans are Stupid. As for the game, this is why you shouldn't have to play someone in your own conf. till the 2nd round. Not a doubt in my mind, that if South would have played anyone else they would be playing next week. Both Def. played there Hearts out, and my hats off to the players from South. Hey FB, My son said he texted you this week, and said that you were not going to be able to make it to the game. But thats ok, cause we know that we have your support. If we make it to the next round maybe we will see you next week. As for the game i'am looking forward to it, rain, snow, or dry. Should be a hard hitting game. These 2 teams know each other pretty well. I think for Boone to win this week(the old saying)we have to be able to run the ball. Last game vs. South, we didnt run the ball very well(all credit to south's def.). We really need to be able to run the ball to set up the play action. As for the player who was at Kspt. boys club it was Big Kevin (BK Kid), we have another kid who coaches one of Boone's feeder school Baskettball teams in the summer, #9 (Hayden Chandley), my son is on that team, and the young man does a great job with the kids. OK, we all agree on paper Boone should win by 21 or more. But this is played on GRASS & not PAPER. Might be a muddy mess tomorrow night, so we need to take care of the ball and we will be just fine. DC dont have much of a passing game or that is what i have seen in the papers, so will JJ put 9 in the box or just play his normal Def. sets? I think DC will pull out all the stops, what do they have to lose. I see some Trick plays being used, maybe some fake punts and such. what do you all think. Didnt need the "BK Express" tonight, because everyone else steped up. D-Line & LB's were in the backfeild all night and owned the line of scrimmage. #'s 50,32,70,26,58 played lights out. The D-Backs were hitting hard and offten #81,#9, #10 hit Downs everytime he touched the ball. The defense set up the 1st score and chandley's pick 6 was the other. I think the vikings D played pretty well, but whats up with the punter? Couple of UT scouts were in the stands tonight, Vikes #63 is the real deal, very impressed with him. Now lets go get us a Muskett on Thursday.

YES, I agree we are playing as a TEAM, and each and every player should get loads of credit. But dont forget the group that should be getting some praise too, the coaching staff has done a great job. It seems that JJ has pushed all the right buttons. VS. South i saw him pull both QB's because they were not getting it done. Now with the prize in front of them they are playing Smashmouth Football. I see the vikes putting 8 men in the box to stop the run. I also see Boone playing some bracket coverage on Downs, with Chandley spying him on sure passing downs. Well you have your opinion, but i have seen 1st hand what he can do with a group of under-sized kids who are mostly made up of football players. He works the ref's and its no secret that the ref's dont care much for him. But the numbers dont lie. If working the ref's for a call later in the game is "being a cry baby" then the BIG 8 is full of "cry baby's". Last year i seen TN. High, S. Hill, & Vol. coaching staffs screaming and jumping up and down for calls. Cutlip was laying in the floor up at crockett in the district tour. being a cry baby or just passionate coaches? My son is a SR. this year and he thinks the world of Ryan and his staff. We would like to get a late start to B-Ball season this year, and make a deep run in the playoffs.
