Beat them and you get to play a non district 7 team (call that a bye week). And if you beat them you can play Riverdale in the District 7 Post-season Championship Game (Also known as the Blue Cross State Championship Game). You know, It has been fun watching Blackmans business like approach to practice this week. The players look very loose, relaxed and focused on Frankin. The players also look like they are enjoying the post-season experience without showing any signs of pressure. It's plain to see that most every player (even the subs) are stepping their game up and prepared to do what it takes to make it deep into this journey for the gold ball. I know I speak for many Blaze fans when I say "We're proud of each and every one of them. Subs, scout teams and starters alike, They're all very important to making this team a success." It's gonna be a hot one in the inferno Friday night. GO BLAZE!

If I were Franklin I'd take Monday and Tuesday off to rest and enjoy the Oakland victory, Get together Wednesday and eat pizza as a team , Have a walk-thru on Thursday and just show up in Rutherford Co. on Friday. I think that will work for ya. If the Rebels are good enough to beat Oakland they will not have any trouble with Blackman. I have been know to change my ideas as the week goes on. We'll see.....

You're right. Smyrna should look completely past Mt. Juliet and start getting ready for Blackman

I'd really like to see Mt. Juliet beat at least one Rutherford Co. team. This past Friday the team and fans were on cruise control. Kinda looked like we were resting up to put the smack down on a Williamson county school again. This game may not be as fun for Frankiln as their last. They may want to talk with Brentwood (their district champs) about Mathers. It may be a very, very long night for the Rebs. We'll see GO BLAZE!

No, he was never a player, just a moron. The funny part for me is: How did you know Smyrna was involved? If the field doesn't dry out a lot before Friday (tomorrow) night it'll be a mess before the night ends anyway. But hey we're lucky, I'll bet the sun shines all day.

The field is fine, after cutting about a half of a doughnut in the center of the field the dumb crooks truck broke down. When everyone came in this morning his truck was sitting broke down in the center of the field (Dang the bad luck). The owner of the truck was a former Blackman student who now attends Smyrna. Bottom line is the damage would have been huge if the truck had not failed. It was a lucky day for Blackman and a sign of how the playoffs may go. It's better to be lucky than good. GO BLAZE!

I agree, those are good enough numbers as long as Mathers stays well. I also agree about the KILLER QUAD, It looks like if Blackman can get past Overton they'll get to play in the District Tournament. Too bad the TSSAA couldn't have found a way to let Blackman open up with Riverdale (I'm kidding). Like they say, "lets play the cards we're delt". GO BLAZE!
