  1. The four winners today were Covington, Westview, and Crockett are winners so far. Dyersburg and Ripley are tied up late in the game. Crockett had a big win today! Came from behind. Should be a good game tomorrow between Westview and Crockett but I think Crockett takes this one. Westview doesn't have the defense or the hitters this year to get it done. Covington rolled as usual. Great defense and pitching. Go Tigers!

    13AA?

Obviously Covington will but who will be the 2nd team?? Heard Milan, Crockett and Obion were pretty good this year? Who will it be?
  3. Train....In response to your post...Don't act like the kids. You really don't know what they mean when they say Push It. May not be the actual word but if a kid says FU then we all know what it means and we all know what the kids meant when they were saying it!!!!!!! So as for your arguement...It was just as classless as the kids yelling Push it...But I'm sure they were trying to get their team to push the ball up the floor?? As for Dresden...Good luck...Pulling for you.. PUSH IT all the way to state!!!!
  4. Crockett and Westview had two tough games against each other last year both settled by single digits. Westview is not as good as some people may think. They don't have an inside presence to carry them and their guards are a bit overrated. Crockett might slip in there and get a much needed district win tonight at home!!!!!
  5. Does that mean if Westview would have played the first half like the second half it would have been 80 - 10?? I'm assuming by your statement as well that Westview must have made all of their layups and hit all of their shots. Westview is deep enough to compete in this district and the top 2 teams from District 13AA are good enough to compete in the Region this year. Games were close last year. Overall, it should be a fun district to follow....
  6. http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2010/sep/20/softball-team-has-heart-of-a-champion/ Everyone should take a couple of minutes and read this article and ask yourself a couple of questions. 1) When's the last time I shared some of my fortune with someone else? 2) When is the last time I paid an act of kindness forward? This could be even more special if more teams participated in acts like this. All we ever seem to hear is the negative. Here is an opportunity to build off of something and do something nice. The question is will anyone else step up and do the same?
  7. Saw South Fulton's thread and couldn't resist. I wanted to offer a huge congrats to the ladies of Westview High School and to their coaching staff. I am a huge Westview supporter and have heard some absolutely ridiculous things over the past few months with parents sticking their nose into the softball team and trying to run it like they want as well. Some may not agree with coaching decisions with them either but it's hard to argue too much when they have been to the state tournament four years in a row. Also, over the last two seasons they have lost to the eventual champs by a small margin in the state tournament. It's time for the parents to shut up and save their coaching for the summer! It's a shame that some parents are so blind and nieve to a good program when they see it, but then again that's how the world seems to work these days. Congrats to Coach Suiter and to those hard working girls. I hope you make another run at it next year too. District 13AA has turned into a powerhouse and it's fun to be a part of it each year.
