  1. Well, there went my turkey dinner today. Never get that image out of my mind. Thanks APB. Marion Wins.
  2. Do you really think so................I don't . Marion Wins.
  3. Very first words out of the coach's mouth were something like, "Alcoa is a great team". You didn't mention that. Every single thing you posted was taken entirely out of context and you know it. Neither the coach nor player showed any disrespect for Alcoa. You're a green with envy SP poster that has never shown Marion any genuine support. Do everyone a favor and go on over to the BB thread where you belong; stop trying to junk up a pretty entertaining thread. Better yet, post that link and let Alcoa people make their own mind up. South Pittsburg don't rule the moderator world anymore. Keep calling posters out and you'll be dinged soon enough.
  4. Nohope made a post similiar to this one on another thread but will repeat it here. SOME THINGS JUST NEED TO BE REPEATED....Great post Whopper /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> .....Beginning to get the point Ambassador. You're not wanted here. Dang near forgot........Marion Wins........the Friday game I mean...........We've already lost this darned picture war.
  5. I just finished watching it myself. Your stated facts are as accurate as my............makes your entire post look like its reposted here...........Your post intended for Alcoa fans to be PO'ed that a Marion coach/player dis'ed them on a TV interview. I hope someone does post a link so they can see for themselves just how misleading (and I'm being polite) your post is. No need for you to fan any flames at Alcoa; they're so good we're just considered a hopeful warmup game for their state championship game next week.
  6. Thanks. I've been looking for that picture for months. Warriors win.
  7. Well, we had a good thread going until MCRoadWarrior ran everyone off with his post. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> I realize Alcoa fans are undoubtedly top notch folks and coacht posters are justifiably proud of their team and its success. No matter how confident they are on getting to Murfreesboro, right now Marion stands in Alcoa's way. I really hope that Alcoa team has just a small measure of the overconfidence these posters have. That gold football ain't engraved with anyone's name just yet. Marion Wins.
  8. The real Marion supporters haven't even began to post yet. They're loading their guns and will come out blazing sometime Wednesday/Thursday. I'm starting to understand why opposing fans don't post much. I'm used to hearing "We win, ________beats Marion by 13", etc. But this "Tornados blow away Marion by a whoooooooooooooooole lllloooooooooootttttttttttttt before the pregame coin flip hits the ground" stuff is getting almost (not quite, but almost) darned irritating. Ya'll do me a favor. Between the 3rd/4th quarter break, when you fans' puckered butts are pulling a vacuum on those bleacher seats, every Alcoa fan stand up and, all together, thank Marion for bringing some game to your stadium. BTW, Warriors own the 4th quarter. If I've neglected to post it before, Marion Wins. RE above post: Marion will bring a crowd.
  9. DHP 2 glover 0 I can barely tolerate these confident /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Alcoa fans posting all this stuff; at least they've earned having a football thread still exist to post on. Way to swat these old sour grape losers who insist on buzzing in occasionally DHP. We all know they got a head start on BB in Region 4. They spent an entire week before playing us practicing the squeak, squeak sport. Looks like time well spent. Now, you Alcoa folks. I've read every post, slogged through the White House schedule (exactly why I don't know), located a Painted Bridge local folks are proud of, and learned I get to see a free fireworks show during the game........maybe. All that time spent posting that stuff hasn't put one single crack in my resolve that.....Marion Wins.
  10. [quote name='McLovin08' date='Nov 24 2008 - 02:24 PM' post='826970640' are you referring to the sirens as the little cousins? /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> That'd be the ones....What's your take on how the Marion players will approach this game McL? Most Coacht posters (likely the same ones who picked Marion to finish 4th in the coacht preseason 3-2A poll) think Alcoa has a mail in win this week. I don't ever remember being so dis'ed in any game. So long as Alcoa don't line up no UT players (check that, Wyoming players) against us I think we have a shot. You'd think by some of these posts Alcoa could just line up on the sidelines, cast shadows across the playing field, and still stomp the Warriors. I think........Not. Marion wins. Think I spotted that bridge on Mapquest arial view. Second or third crosswalk up over the creek?
  11. Never leave home without it. Be assured, it'll blow all night, along with its "little cousins". We have fun wherever we go. Marion wins.
  12. Plagerism don't pay well, but thanks. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Nothing original in this old noggin but one thought....Marion wins. You guys are winning the picture war. Wish them Region 4 folks would throw in with us; they were pretty good too.
  13. Please M4L, don't run off any support thats offered, so long as its not followed by a "but......" Just a thought.
  14. Marion County Warriors Ride a Tornado retold by S. E. Schlosser Edited by Nohope Now everyone in the East knows that Marion County could beat anybody. No team could whip them, no sir! Fact is, one time up Alcoa way they decided to ride them a Tornado. Now Marion wasn't gonna ride jest any tornado, no ma'am. They waited for the biggest gol-durned tornado you ever saw. It was turning the sky Maroon and Silver, and roaring so loud it woke up the farmers away over in Maryville. Well, Marion jest grabbed that there tornado, pushed it to the ground and jumped on its back. The tornado whipped and whirled and sidewinded and generally cussed its bad luck all the way down to some little ole painted bridge. Tied the creek into knots, flattened all the forests so bad they had to rename one place the Comstock Stadium. But Marion jest rode along all calm-like, give it an occasional jab with their pads. Finally, that tornado decided it wasn't getting these Warriors off its back no-how. So it headed North to Knoxville and jest rained itself out. Made so much water it washed out the Tennessee Valley. That tornado was down to practically nothing when Marion finally jumped off. They hit the ground running and didn??
  15. The last team that used that picture against us took a 34 - 0 whipping, ironically, on their home field. That, along with the "Ambassador" hex, just about seals the deal. I can feel those stars aligning more each passing day. There's entirely too many posters on here wishing Marion luck ending with a "but......you're gonna get stomped" or something similiar. That ain't support. Drop the facade and post for Alcoa. Marion don't need you. Semi-finals.....that just sounds right. Marion wins. Alcoa's Painted Bridge......."BING".....I finally get it. I'm a little slow. Thanks for the directions. I will see that bridge. All this time I mentally pictured some type old covered train bridge, possibly converted into a walking park.
  16. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Thanks. Never doubted it. Coacht boards are for having fun through the week. The football game is Friday night. Good luck to both teams.
  17. No satellite tornado. Thats a "before / after" pictue of Alcoa when the Purple Storm hits town. Get it done Warriors.
  18. Second heads up about the "sign". Actually, I figured it was something constructed on the HS front lawn. Remember, I'm the poster that thought the vandalized Warrior had a Hitler face. I apologize for my eyesight; the "get an education" dig was a little harsh I thought. I never used the term "us folks". Now for the important stuff............. Marion suddenly finds themselves in the state semi-finals, against Alcoa, in the underdog role. Go figure. Alcoa tradition says Marion can't win. Chattanooga sports experts will most surely pick Marion to lose.........again. Coacht posters, the same ones that picked Marion to finish 4th in Region 3 2A preseason Coacht poll, say Marion can't win. Some Russian manning a remote Antartic weather station says Marion can't win......(OK, I made that one up). I don't care.......Marion wins. I'll believe that until they lose or Coach B has himself and his team a big gold football. Purple storm trumps the dust devils...............Do I actually have to cross over that bridge on my way to the Alcoa football field? Sounds like a local landmark I'd hate to miss.
  19. You folks want us to paint over this sign after the game Friday night, or will disgruntled fans take care of it Saturday morning. Talk about messing with pictues, its a sin what someone did to that Warrior pic. Hitler with a war bonnet /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> To the poster above. I can't hear you no matter how loud you type. Which Regon 4 team did you support. I can't remember.
  20. I'm betting Coach B is like a lot of other HS coaches, never giving this site a thought other than hoping his players stay off it. Your interpretation of what he meant about the bad call reference is wrong. He's accepting responsibility as a coach for his team having to travel so much, due to a play call he made he feels was incorrect. As far as knowing where the next game is, he's been focused on what's important, preparing his team for the next game, not looking ahead to where they'll play several weeks down the road. IMO, the TSSAA has totally screwed the 2A playoff format up, and the things Coach B reference about it shows just how much. As far as a fan telling him where we play, thats rediculous. Coach will have his team ready to play Alcoa Friday night. If the Alcoa team is made up of simply mortal high school students, unable to leap tall buildings with a single bound, Marion may just find a way to compete. I asked one player how he felt about going on the road to play this powerful Alcoa team. He simply said, "Coach will study their team this weekend and have some things ready for us to work on Monday in practice. We'll be ready." That shows a lot of confidence in his leader and its reflective of how all these Marion players feel. Post all the pictures and comments you want this week, you'll never hear me telling this bunch their season is over Friday night. BTW glover, Darth Vader was defeated in the end; probably not your best effort on pic selection. Now that Indian going over the waterfall, that's funny. I'm also looking forward to reading the post game article. Only four 2A football teams in Tennessee will have an article written about them come next Saturday morning. Marion is one of those four, and that's special........a lot of teams would enjoy being where we are right now.
  21. Marion's two point conversion attempt to win. He's refering to a play call he made himself. Its a self critique, not a criticism of any official's call. At least, that's how I took it. Coach B said after the game he wished he'd called something else.
  22. So true........he's been on a roll the last few weeks....Alcoa, you're doomed, hexed beyond recovery. Marion will bring a crowd. The Warriors enjoy the support and Marion fans enjoy providing it.
  23. Some things just need repeating. Agreed on all points. Tough luck Pirates.
  24. Things are changing in East Tennessee........
  25. You'll just have to overlook some of us proud Marion supporters this week Volfan5. No one is disrespecting Alcoa and their achievements this season. Honestly, if Alcoa were the world champion New York Giants on steroids, right now I'd still pick Marion to beat them. You'd just have had to walk a mile......or season........in our shoes to understand. This little undersized, overlooked, SOME would even say mediocre, football team just keeps on winning. They've simply worked too hard for the success they've had to date for fans to desert them now. Never having seen Alcoa play, I'm personally looking forward to next Friday. I'll tell you right up front, I'll leave a happy man, irregardless of the outcome. Here's hoping this thread remains civil and entertaining throughout the week. RE: Your post above. I thought Boyd had only six turnovers, I could be wrong. Marion was responsible for all of them; Boyd didn't just intentionally give the ball up. This wasn't Marion's best offensive effort. We're better than we showed tonight.
