I’m with you on that. I live about 2 miles from Murvil stadium. I’ll show up 5 min to game time and park about the same distance from the gate as I was last night at BC. Murvil doesn’t even have enough parking for half their students. Kids have to park out in neighborhoods. Let that sink in. SMH.

I had some friends that used to set up at that church and make several hundred dollars a game. Drive around behind the school three or four minutes and park where others park. Don’t worry, you won’t get lost or shot. It’s easier to get to the visitor stands anyway if you park behind the school. Murvil should talk with that church. It’s ridiculous to take advantage of the out of towners IMO.

That was one crazy game. Up 7 with 4 minutes left and running it down our throat. Two passes on consecutive drives lead to two TOs and a loss of bragging rights. Strange indeed.

Drove down 411 last night with buddy Jake. We anticipated a good game as we were told how anticipated this game was. Well…the best part of the trip was catching up with Jake. The worst part was realizing that, instead of BC taking two steps forward this year, murvil had actually taken two steps back. BC showed twice who had the better team. IMO okelund was not quite as good as they have been in the past, but they are clearly the best team I saw this year. Very good players with a great scheme, and nobody seems to have an answer. Murvil is somewhere way back in the Pats rear view mirror. It gonna take a BIG commitment from everyone at 825 to get back to the top. It won’t just happen on its own. Hopefully the powers that be are talking, getting on the same page, and implementing their plan for relevancy again. It will take help from teachers, coaches, the AD, the administration, and the school board. The free ride needs to end, it’s past time to get to work. One or two move ins ain’t gonna be enough for this job - just ask BC.

High school semis are awesome. Great crowd in Cleveland tonight. Congrats to BC on their year. I still think #6 was the best player on the field, but the Pats neutralized him on offense which meant BC couldn’t keep up. The Pats may not quite be as good as I’ve seen in the past, but they are better than anyone else I saw this year. Great coaching and effort by their kids. The personal fouls and holds took away from the game some, but the best team clearly won. Congrats to the Pats. They’ve got it rolling! P.S. Paying to park at a public school is bush league.

LA and f’n hairtage were both much improved this year. Govs might have put it on the two city teams.

That’s been everybody’s game plan. But once the game starts, it’s like blocking a covey of quail. With that said, historically Oakland is the best at getting you outnumbered at the point of attack.

I’m not sure what to expect in this one MTF. BC is a good team who may have the best player on the field tonight. They are unbeaten including four wins against mediocre murvil and Beerden teams. We never see okelund until the semis. If this is a normal okelund team, they are the favorite. If it is not, BC is tough to handle. Good luck to both teams tonight.

It’s really crazy. I’ll continue my criticisms on athletic Directors by talking about ETSU. They made a decision to invest half of million in a Coach over a couple of years only to turn around and give him another half million to leave. Not too bright. I went up and watched the game this year. They looked a lot like some of the teams I’ve seen from Oakland, if you took Oakland’s speed and six or seven best players away.

C’mon Barn, don’t let facts get in the way of a good story! The old ball coach was a heckova play caller. It will be interesting to see where he heads to. I’d think he would have more good opportunities than bad ones.

Come on home. The football, baseball, and basketball portion of the AD job is wide open. My bet is it pays better than it used to. Short Heather will even find a group to attend the baseball and basketball games and collect the cash for you!

Solly-I hope your are right, but I see it a little different. Transfers have played a BIG part of Murvil football. About four or five years ago when the two stud players from local high schools transferred to a city school, it was not into Murvil city. That threw up a big flag for me. I’m not sure the cause of this. Some of our Murvil friends tried to argue that those kids were not that good anyway. They both went to D1 schools. Why? Now with NIL tempting players, it is another hurdle to overcome. I hope we got a plan to keep up.

From the BC games I watched, #6 gets as involved as they need him to. Some games it seems like he only touches the ball for five times. However, other games, he plays a much bigger role on both sides of the ball. Their coaches seem to do a good job of not over using him and risk him getting hurt.

You’re right. I hate that happened. I do believe he would’ve helped us on defense this year.

We must be over on capacity if the first answer is a no. That’s the most important question anyway. Maybe we are looking for Buyers With Studs (BWS) which might be a smaller group than TWS. How far over are we?

Hypothetical: IF Boo’s family uses the BC benefits to move down on the lake in Blount County and his more talented lil brother wanted to attend Murvil….. (1) would 825 have room for him as a tuition student? (2) would lil brother only play on one side of the ball?

I always thought the tuition forms included max squat and shuttle time…no wonder! A good, long introspective look at everything is probably needed. As long as everyone works extra hard for the same goal, it will work out. #TWS4MHS

Truth. I think Jimmy and Joe should matter the most, but Murvil has won several big games with X’s and O’s over the years. #6 is is hands down bigger than X’s and O’s.
