  1. Don’t worry, we will. 24-7-365. Just don’t stick your hand into the dogfight. Lol The interests and expectations contribute to murvils success. Without them, IMO you don’t reach the top - unless you have a lucky year. With NILs and no room for tuition students, murvil supporters are considering options. It should be an interesting 7-8 months!
  2. BC. Outside of the alco group, I’m probably as big a fan of 44 as anybody in town. I’ve told several people he could be one of the best players to come out of this county in decades. Not yet, but he is just a junior. I’m curious where you see him playing in college. After watching him for only one game this year, I would say linebacker. But I don’t know him or his mentality. For example, TEs usually don’t like the contact like LBs do. You've seen him for a couple of years now. Where do you think he helps a College team? Offense or defense.
  3. Hey man, let your feet get back on the ground for a couple of weeks until the bears bring that gold ball home to ET. Everybody enjoys beating Murvil, and you guys did it twice in the same year. BC has a super team, IMO the best in ET this year. #6 is a difference maker. Had he been on murvils sideline this year, I think they would’ve been pretty hard to handle. Keep him safe for another few weeks! Those last two games will be tough regardless of who you play. Enjoy the beat downs to this point but Murvil wasn’t great this year. They had three or four games where they did not have the top four or five players on the field. You may not see any players better than your number six, but you guys will see some very good players. Ive heard Oakland is a little down from usual, but they will have some D1 players as well. I also hear Bentwood got some stud move ins. I think they are also undefeated and have been routing their opponents. After this week, it’s gonna get tougher. You guys have a great shot. Enjoy the ride and good luck the next few weeks.
  4. Yes, great player. Murvil has had several. #22 from a decade ago was phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. But Murvil kids don’t play both ways like some studs do at other schools. BCs #6 was great on defense, offense, and special teams.
  5. It will be interesting to see what position he plays in college. He looks good in all three phases. He is special with the ball in his hand, but that one-handed INT was one to remember - Deon Grant type of play. He looks like a great player who has gotten better this year.
  6. Agreed. At the time, I thought the Oakland RB (now at Oregon) was the best I had seen and the safety Oakland had a few years prior was a close 2nd. BC’s #6 is better than both because he impacts more of the game. The weakest part of his game appears to be on offense, but he dominates there as well. A 50 yd jet sweep TD, a 95 yd kickoff return for a TD, a one handed INT, and so many plays on defense to prevent opponents big plays makes him the best IMO. BC and Brentwood in December might be a great game.
  7. It’s probably a mismatch! Short Heather would be a great host of a future coach’s show!
  8. Congrats to the bears. They have a very good team with a great player. Their coaches do a good job, and the atmosphere was super tonight. Other than the score, it was a great night of football. Good luck to BC the rest of the way! The best team won. I thought Murvil played hard and was in the game until late in the third. The two dropped INTs could have saved 10 points, but would not have mattered as we got shutout in the second half. Murvil must find an answer to man coverage with 9 in the box. It hurt us offensively in every loss. I hope the sun comes up tomorrow.
  9. 100%! Also, it would be nice to have a weekly coaches show like BC does for all sports. Does BC have higher TCAP scores? I’m bet not.
  10. Maybe the incline starts tonight for the football team. It’s been an interesting year. With the exception of two or three, it’s an inexperienced group that has found some identity in the last few weeks. There may have been too much ground to make up, we will find out tonight. I suspect the visitor side to be full. It’s as big of a game as I remember for this stage of the playoffs. BC is loaded. Murvil can’t have a chance. On the road. A little wet and cold. The Friday night lights will be on by 5:30. Safe travels!!
  11. I could’ve been more specific, but did not want to. Yes, the basketball teams have definitely struggled. Hopefully the two new coaches can get it turned around. The baseball team continues to finish in the bottom half of the district culminating with hairtage ending our season last year…f’n hairtage. I don’t keep up with all the stats, but I’m pretty sure the football team has lost more games the last two years than in a whole bunch of years put together. What has changed? The same coaches and the same feeder systems. I don’t think the AD should get a pass. Maybe the answer is two ADs? One over track and one for the primary sports? Who else would be responsible when we have a County track meet and a baseball tournament within 50 yards of each other with only 45 parking spaces? Or baseball players missing graduation if they work hard and get to the substate game? There should be better planning within the sports programs, and IMO the AD plays a role in that. Hopefully he is there to help, and not just count money.
  12. What time do the gates open? I’ve got to stop by and pick up my cousins…uh…I mean the officials and get them there.
  13. In today’s world, where you’re paying good money to have a “athletic Director“, I think some of the blame needs to go to whoever is in that position. Most sports at 825 seem to be in a decline the last few years. That time frame coincides with the current ADs time. Maybe coincidence? Good luck getting him to call you back.
  14. I like these productions. These two guys do a gooder job. 11-0!!
  15. lol. Heck, we’ve got a baseball field out towards Seymour. Maybe we move the football field up to Townsend where we can stop and get some chicken on the way!
  16. Bradley is gonna be tough to handle. They are surely one of the top public teams in the state. I hope it don’t rain Friday night.
  17. Those days can’t come soon enough!! I can barely remember them!
  18. Does he also play D? It seems like I remember a 2 showing up a lot in an earlier game.
  19. Lol. I always enjoy getting on the refs. Bradley earned it by being undefeated this year. Visitors have to overcome some home cooking sometimes. T27 is right, they come from elsewhere, but don’t let the truth get in the way you of a good conspiracy! IMO the refs in the playoffs are usually good enough to not get noticed. Occasionally, there is a group that looks overmatched, but not often. I bet I’m on them half the game Friday!
  20. I’m not sure Stars. Brad Lee is absolutely loaded. In addition to the scary WR, they have several other great players. Maybe we can sneak a couple of extra guys out there on big down and distance plays to slow them down. Offensively, we are a different team by getting those kids back on offense this week, so who knows what the plan will be. I’d say we need to score 30.
  21. He looked pretty good. They had to get him out of daycare early for the long trip yesterday.
  22. Youth leagues definitely help. SH will be fine. I think QB1 will be out another week or two. Injuries stink. Luckily the boy still has his Covid year for next year.
