JC looked very good agains Loudon. good test this weds against cleveland.

Jeff county went 70 on the first play and never looked back. JC never was stopped. Louden was held to aprox 3 first downs. At the end Jc 5 tds to Loudons 0 If not for an offside pen or 2 it would have been worse. Jc was missing their top 2 off and def lineman. Jc never tried to pass much but did not have to. Louden looked big but never could get it going. JC dominated both lines. Jc ran at will and passed enough to keep everyone honest. Jc looked better at all parts of the game. Offense was in time and def simply dominated. Pass rush was good and the def line dominated. Jc looked simply like an old JC team. Good first impression. will know much more as they get Cleveland this week.

Its about time to discuss who will step out as the king of the IMAC. Tri Champs last year. Who will be the team to beat this year.

From the body language from the Greene fans this is about what I expected. Big jump TO 6A and half the team they had in 2010. For now they may have to settle for being the best in 4a. The 2010 team is the one that every Greeneville team will be compared to. Fair or unfairly. They showed up to beat Maryville. I give them credit for stepping up and taking them on.

I dont know how it went but I saw a few Greeneville fans eating after the game and they did not appear to be happy??

From what I hear practice is going well. Run/ throw 50/50. I see this team doing much better than most expect if they go injury free. If a key player goes down this team could go from contending in every game to 4-6 fast.. I do feel that this team will be overlooked in that there were great expectations from last years team, but little expected from this team. If you go down the player list you may see that they my improve in most areas. O line will be much stronger and bigger. Def line and D backs somewhat unchanged and even better. We are short a few of the skill players on the outside but may make up with some power. The qb will return for a second year and this should be big. At the end, I think some may get surprised with the product that hits the field this year????????????????? I hear practice has been intense!!!! first scrimmage is friday with louden and next week at cleveland. will advise

both great programs. I remember during this time, if you was going to get out of East Tn, you was going to see Jeff Co, OR, and DB each year.

was AD for several years. resigned this past winter in the middle of the anderson situation. at jchs at some capacity from 83 until 2010. Coach to AD

throw Jeff County into the mix. the records in the 80s speak for itself. 3 state finals with 1 win in 87 with that team finishing top 5 in the nation.

Jc fans, any news on the team this year. I know they are about 8 games into the 7 on 7 schedule and I hear good things. I hear they looked much better in the games at Maryville? Did anyone see these?? I hear the starters looked very good against Maryville with the starters scoring on 2 of 2 oppts. This cant be a bad thing. I hear the def is coming along very well. I hear they are much bigger this year. I understand that the OL line will average near 275 this year with 2 at 300 lbs and over. The def line at 250 or so. If this is so, this is much larger than last year. Its time to start talking this up and come out and support the new coach.

After the introduction the other night, I can say he passes the initial test. I think he will sell his program and get additional players out. This will be a good thing. Excited that he has experience as the strenth coach. I do have questions for the red bank fans. Can you tell us what schemes we might see. What defenses did he run? What offenses might we see coming to JC. Many unknowns at this point. ANY rumors of anyone coming with him??? I am excited and look forward to what he puts on the field this fall. We have a great oppt to open the season strong. Welcome coach!!

I hope he is the good hire. We will know in a few years. I do find it interesting that they got through 36 aps in a few days. Im surprised they hired a def coord given the fact that our def has been pretty good over the past several years. I thought they would have went after an offensive minded coach given this has been our weakness over the same period????? Who knows? Good luck Coach Cobble and welcome to JC.

Most of what you say is correct. Jc is not as deprived of talent as most beleave, But the day of the 3 sport athlete is going away. (GONE) A player is now pushed to narrow his choice down to 2 then 1 very soon after entering HS. Heck, most practice their sport year round now to avoid falling behind. If not for time reasons, there is a coach if the background telling him to do it. JC must get back to the point where most is choosing football first. I guarantee you football is first at Marryville and Alcoa!!!

WHAT DID HE RUN AT MARRYVILLE? BEING FROM CNC DID HE RUN THE VEER? HOW MANY STATE TITLES DID HE WIN WHILE AT MARRYVILLE. WE ALL KNOW WHAT THE CURRENT COACH THERE HAS DONE. DID HE LEAVE OR WAS HE PUSHED ASIDE TO MAKE ROOM FOR GQ?

Kisabeth did come from cocke county. I feel that JC ties are only important if all else is equal. If not, hire the best coach. I think this showed when they went outside to get a baseball coach. I just hope they get someone who can sell/energize the program. PAY THE MONEY AND GET THE COACH. THE 3000 EXTRA FANS IN THE STANDS WILL PAY THIER SALARY.
