He may get a few out of the halls but I have heard that he may lose a few key players that plan to leave?? I also hear that key 8th graders are making plans to move to East/West. I think you summed it up. HOw do you expect different results when you do the same things (insanity).... handcuffed with the same old assistant coaches. Its amazing how we get a diff head coach but make the same mistakes year over year. I agree, we will never come out of the pocket to fix the problem!!!!!!I dont understand. If you fill the seats, the money is generated to pay the coaches. Not rocket science. 5000 extra fansx$6.00 = $30,000/game x 5 home games = 150,000/season.

First off, congrats to CC. No program needs a big win more than the big red. As to the coach bashing. not much this year. had great team until few weeks ago. At the end of this game we were playing 5 starters on defense. Injuries will make if difficult for this team to win 2 more games this year. Cobble must be wondering what the heck has happened? 6 season ending injuries. What hit JC hard is loosing the top to LB's. Loosing Smiley and Williams kills JC. every time a player falls its an acl or mcl . lost another one in first def series friday. Good luck CC. go beat the MT teams. Just throw it up to 2 and let him do his thing.

west was fortunate to beat SH in which DB will beat badly. DB thumped Green in a preseason scrimmage but ok. West will attempt to grind but will not stop SC much like last year. I have seen both teams 2 times this year. West cant score enough to beat SC. The corners cant handle the speed of SC. If SC protects the QB, they win big. The fact is Brewer gets receivers wide open. SC 31 west 17.

Jeff county will struggle rest of year as injuries have killed this team. 5 starters on defense playing at end of CC game. Need major adjustment by coaches to move some players around. May have to play QB on defense like East and West does in key situations. I will take SC as West cant score enough to keep up! SC 35 west 17. west has scored 19 on SD and East the past 2 games. SC much better than both.

Not many of us left. Most of the parents left with last years team. We are not saying much because there is not much to say. Team looks improved in most areas from a team that most expected nothing from. I think we surprised our first 2 opponents. I dont suspect we will sneak up on SC given the results from last year. all this talking is a mute point. This team can be one of the better teams in the area. They will get respect based on their record at the end of the year going into the playoffs. If they are good enough to make it. All the other stuff is mute because Maryville, DB and others would not schedule us for the reasons that jc4life states is a reason for us to schedule up. YOU see, Jc would be a step backwards for them. They are looking for tough comp to prepare them . We must get a few good years behind us b-4 they would consider JC worthy comp. Lets get a few 8-2 or better behind us and then ask to be put back in the discussion! I

you are correct as it was the big east. you also picked up such powers as Karns and Cambell county?? thats stepping out there. They also took 4 to the state which was 50%. that has changed. DB is the only comp we lost. Sevier county stayed on and until this year we kept Beardon. If you look at Beardon vs Tenn High. TH is stronger this year.. your point is?

you are correct. the downside is punishing. Is it really smart to schedule someone you will likely meet in the playoffs. Most coaches dont want to. So how many power programs do we have to chose from in 6a?? Slim pikins. I liked the other layout from that standpoint but can remember the weaker conf's sending district leaders to state with 4 wins??? who knows. The best answer is building up your conf. If TH, South and SH is good. You dont have to travel far to get tested. #2. Db goes to lengths to schedule strong non conf schedules but teams like Faragut and SC have been up and down? How do you plan?

Sure you plan this when you make a schedule. Like playing in the SEC, you look at the comp within b-4 you set the non conf. Its just smart. The problem is that so many teams are hot and cold from year to year. Look at Greeneville and Beardon. This years team not close to last years team. What year did you play and I guess you won all of your conf games and played Maryville and others on the OCC.. I dont thinks the O.R's have done anything lately and how far has Db made it?? I guess Maryville should only play all OOC games to give everyone a test. They only get to play 3 themselves and 1 will alway be Alcoa. Maybe we can beg for 1 of the other 2.

you are correct but only 2 quality wins in this group. Picture will get much clearer this week as JC takes on SC. The winner will most likely fight it out with Mo West for the conf title? Could the top 3 beat each other up like last year and share the title?? Cherokee and East most likely fight it out for 4th this year. Cherokee being better than most thought while East is weaker than most thought up to this point. I look for East to upset someone b-4 years out.

Heritage just kicked 4-5 seed from last year in Harden V. who killed Beardon the week b-4. The fact is that the rules have changed and until they change the playoff formula who can blame a program as a couple of non conf losses can kick you out of the playoffs. I think Mo West will bee a tough test as they just beat Greeneville. Let me see, we complain if we lose but we complain if we loosen the schedule a bit???????? And lets not forget, the past coach did this. not the present!! Could it just be that this team is just better than most thought?

you are very correct, very fun to watch. TH took the lead and it was not 3 plays until the JC QB runs 65 to the one the get the lead back. I think TH will do well this year and would not surprise me if they dont upset one of the 6a teams in the area. Good luck going forward.

Jc is solid at everything they do. They must get better at limiting the penalties. . In week 0 they ran the spread and threw the ball to set up the run. This week we come out in pro style and run the ball. This was the first time that the QB had been under center all fall?? I was impressed with the never die attitude of TH. Jc had them on the ropes several time and could not put them away . I also give jC credit in how they finished after trailing by 3 in the 3rd quarter and fight to win by 14. In deed a different JC team.

jc fans are not saying much these days. we are cautiously optimistic about this team. all I will say is you will get a better game this week than last. This team is better in everything they do than teams in recent past. The player you are talking about is just 1 of 5 players to watch. he may not even be the best rb on the team. we shall see.

Finishing 5th in your conference does not get it done. playing down 2 divisions and running up stats does not count for much. at the end of the day solid player but not near the top. west greene is not greeneville!!!

Greeneville is rock solid again. My guess is that you are the favorite to repeat as 4 a champs. You may have to work for it this year as you walked through the playoffs last year. good luck

I guess that may be like taking manning away from the colts. just one player. Hard to replace mr football in 4a. you may be underestimating the impact from 1 player especially at qb. last year greenevilles team was special. it will be the team that all greeneville teams will be compared to . Just like the 87 Jeff county team. fair or unfair... I also remember a number 11 player that was also pretty special. replacing these 2 will be a tall task. That being said, I will take greeneville by 10 but not over teams like Maryville, Alcoa, DB as i would have last year.

How did the Scrimmage go yesterday? Im a JC fan and could not make the trip? How did each do ? Jc should be much better this year in all areas. Did they show anything? I figured it would be a great matchup. Cleveland having the great QB and JC having a good one themselves. Any Thoughts/
