That was a big second half for sure! I thought the Cougars may have a chance next week but don't see it happening now. Franklin's O is hard to handle and I would say the Commando D is better than Centennial's D. It will be a shoot out with Franklin winning again.

It should be an interesting game. Can the Cougars stop Overton's run game? Can Centennial give their QB enough time to throw? Can Overton hang on to the football? Can Overton last playing most of their guys both ways the entire game? Prediction: Overton 21 Centennial 17

OHS should be able to run on an undersized line for CHS with some success. Don't be upset at powercat. Apparently Taco is the D-Coordinator for the Cougs. If anyone should know he should.

I was at both games and recall freshmen wearing varsity player's numbers. At first sight it may have appeared upper classmen were playing but by that Friday you could tell there were different bodies in those certain numbered jerseys. I remembered checking the roster because I only saw twenty players on the field. I don't want to argue it any longer but Centennial beat us fair and square. Our boys will get the last laugh though.

Freshmen stuff doesn't mean squat but I can tell you that Centennial made that undefeated run with an ALL freshmen squad. The only reason I recall is because that team was dubbed "The Dirty Dozen and a half plus two". There were only 20 kids total. I didn't see all the games from the stands but was there to watch them against Brentwood and Franklin. The key was the QB scrambling to either take off running or dump off to short routes. No one could catch the kid. Some of those guys are still with the team as seniors now. We'll see if anything translates over to varsity success.

I'll take Siegel over Franklin in one heck of a ballgame. Brentwood beats Cookeville. Smyrna takes out BGA. Blackman all over Independence. Centennial over the Bye Week although the bye covers the spread. Let's get it started!!!!!

My apologies in advance for crashing the Franklin thread but... Taco I am actually hoping to find some football info from you since you don't seem to comment anymore on the Centennial thread. Did you get to go to the Marshall Co. Jamboree? I had to work. How'd the boys do?

200 bucks?Awesome idea! Everyone will be looking for this guy! Being the huge fan that he is, someone will surely spot him at a game and clear taco's name once and for all. Right? Back to football... when's the next scrimmage?

How did the Smyrna freshmen do?

Someone told me that there were roughly 35 varsity players and the other 15 or so were freshmen. Is this not so?

I was shooting for the old batman series where all the questions were asked at the end of the episode, but I nearly fell over laughing with the bachelor #2 comment. Good stuff!! Tune in later at the same coacht time and same coacht channel....

Saying all of this just shows you are avoiding him/her. Powercat wants to skip all the crap on here and meet. Why don't you just take up powercat on his/her offer so this is settled. We trust both you and powercat to report back on here with the truth. Will Taco continue to hide? (because we don't care what you've posted in the past or what name you have given) Will Powercat set a time and place where maybe several of us can gather to see who all is who? Stay tuned....

I am going to try my very best to be at a scrimmage to see if what you say is true. I will have to agree with you on the lack of high level coaching. The offense last year looked pathetic and often unorganized. Several of these kids are returning. I hope these aren't the "horses" you are talking about. I look for things to be the opposite this year with the offense taking it up a notch while the defense takes a kick to the teeth week in and week out. It will be fun to see what Rector has in store.

First off it's powercat's right to identify himself/herself, but I know for a fact that it's not Mrs. M. I am hoping that powercat will get the opportunity to make it down to the Franklin area soon so y'all can catch a game together. Let's be honest with the Centennial situation. I'm sure Rector is a great coach. He's a proven coach, but it's a total uphill battle. He just doesn't have the horses in the stable. Can he build a program? I'm sure he can, but will he have the patience to stick it out? It's going to take longer than the two years that taco predicts to be truly competitive. I do think that it helps that the district may be down some in future years, but will CHS be down as well? It will be interesting to watch as time goes on. I hope Rector will stick it out and surround himself with better coaches so Centennial will not have anymore excuses. Then we will get a true picture for the next decade of Cougar football. Can't wait for the scrimmages! Hopefully all will come away with quality reps and no injuries.

Hogan, You have to give us more than that because something stinks here. You are a Franklin supporter while taco is a huge Centennial guy. There's no way that a true Cougar would have the back of a Rebel. Something's gotta give. Give us the truth.

Couldn't you just post from your phone while standing on the field during a water break? I think the real reason that so many think that you are Eubanks is because of the posts from taco concerning Centennial and Indpendence. It seems you have a very strong opinion of both schools and also quite a bit of information about the two. I guess this could happen by chance, but I believe that is why so many think you are Eubanks. Even Palin said your posts looked awfully eerie when compared to certain emails that had been sent out from Coach Eubanks back during his Independence tenure. You could let taco die and just post under another name. Oh wait....

Eubanks, I noticed your comments on the Franklin thread. You realize that powercat is a lady, right? I'm just trying to clue you in some. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

Gym accusations? I think you have me mistaken for someone else. Strong coaching? I know the current staff. They have Rector. Period You are getting warm. You have my first initial correct. You've done your homework.
