Nice to see how CCHS does with Fulton and Catholic. This should be tough one for CCHS. I know it was on the Mavs. Looks Mavs are down South this year. Hopefully they will emerge with some quality wins.

I wonder how these two teams will match up. Apparently AC has some depth. How is WB situated this year?

Sure wish I could make the trip if get playoffs would then decide to fly in.

This is Great News. I did see some spring footage and actually they looked assume. I would think they would go deep in playoffs.

Mavs back with some Aerial Assault ! Its about time sounds like a fun and exciting year with the new schedule. Region? LOL too early for that thought but it appears they are ready for a run. Great new coaches and it appears new schemes. Sounds like the OL and DL are ready. This is going to be exciting. Still wish we could beat CCHS again and stay undefeated! Great rivalry! QB is confident and again sounds like he has an arm with accuracy. That's all I know anyone with updates let me know. I just was watching Video. Too far up here in Seattle to see them live. Sure wish I could.

Clinton is going to be really tough this year or at least from what I hear. Again however it might be the defense that lets them down. Any way you look at when these teams meet it most likely will be a nail biter. However, AC explosive offense and a much improved defense should be just enough to get the win for AC with first game full of jitters both ways.

I actually think they are pretty close. But of course to get in the top 10 they will have to be tops in there district. District 3 AAA Oak Ridge is loaded with talent so they will be competing again but much better this year. AC lost the line but have Fox back. AC has improved on their Defense in remarkable fashion. AC adjustments when Fox was hurt taught them a valuable lesson to make sure they were a well-rounded team. So look for 2 more stars to emerge for AC that are very talented with speed. And Speed does kill. But I will not mention any names as we will see soon. Barring major injuries for AC, I look for a repeat sparing for District Champs. Unfortunately I will miss my offer to be on the sidelines this year but will be following the Mavs via phone and internet while home in Seattle.

To All: Hey Guys I have friends that want to listen to the Game via Internet. Does West have any radio stations that carry there games? If so more then likely they have Internet Radio as well!

On a different note seriously the Mavericks have had another Great Season and I wish the best for the Seniors as they pursue the rest of their life goals. Well since West and Powell are on the same grid (County) I am sure West has the game film and more from last week. So they know all of our moves. Since the Mavericks did not come out with that un-orthodox offense last week I would think this is the week. However it would not have worked with Powell unless the Mavericks were even or behind, anyways. Mavericks your the underdog, again and this is a home game for West. Good Luck Seniors!

I have questions for all so-called rebels. I have been wondering which team is the real rebel? Is it West or is it Maryville? I guess you could say who was the first High School to be named the Rebels. Just curious! Then we can get back to what it is really all about "Mavericks Football"

No you are correct about which teams likly would make playoffs. Still awaiting what the mavericks have planned out for West. Currently this match up is very interesting!

West is playing on all Cylinders; no missing player everyone is healthy, that I know of, at this point. The key is for the Anderson County (AC) Coaching staff to yet again do there homework. My Opinion is to play like you did with Powell and focus on West weakness. Mavericks just remember West beat Bearden and that is saying a lot!!

On the respect issue, Powell already had the Mavericks respect! Powell has no reason to hang any head down. There are good teams and there are Great teams. Powell is a Great team!

With the Mavericks it takes a team; as they did Friday Night, it takes defense of coach, Offense Coach, special teams and a host of staff starting with the Athletic Director. With Friday nights game every single member of the Mavericks staff contributed 110% and then the team executed.
