Let the Insanity that is the decision making of WB continue. They have made a decision to let Shadowens choose who will coach the Middle School program after Coach Young resigned this year. Young had chosen one of his coaches to replace him and was backed by the 2 Middle School Principals but Shadowens did not want him because of his beef with Young. He chose one of his former coaches who had left to go to Carter High and was fired by Meadows before stepping down. The coach that Young chose has over 15 years experience and has coached at multiple schools that have had winning programs such as HVA and West and is a graduate of WB. His coaching record as a Freshman Head coach was 36-4. Sounds like he knows his stuff. The middle school has a fantastic staff who all agreed to stay on and coach with this candidate but now are talking about hanging it up. WHAT ARE WE DOING!!! WB do what is right by the kids and not a coach who doesnt even want to be at WB.

Himmy you are an absolute idiot. Nothing that you said makes any sense. I am guessing you are a former player who Lane tried to build up and encourage because he thought that you needed football to better your life and keep you from being a loser in life like you turned out to be. You clearly took it personal that you never touched the field even though you were told you were doing a good job by the coaches. Lane probably kept you off the field so you wouldn't get hurt. 2nd don't ever bash the education field with your lack of knowledge. Getting a teaching certificate is no easy task. It takes countless hours of classes, studying, and preparation to pass the test to get your certification.

West coaches and players being called into a meeting. Last time this happened Cummings announced his departure. Guess Harig is officially out.

Sources tell me that Harig has been relieved from his coaching duties.

Word at West today is Head Coach was asked if he wanted to resign and he said no. Principal and AD are now holding meetings with parents, players, and anyone who has an opinion to get a feeling about what needs to be done. Community seems to be leaning towards a coaching change.

You really think Harig is one of the best coaches in the state? What has he done to make that statement make since? His offenses have been below par everywhere he has been. With the talent that he has there is no reason they should struggle like they have for the past 2 seasons. It is a good thing Lane is there to hold that team together. Way to many weapons for Heritage to stop. You can spit shine a turd and yet it still is a turd. Heritage is better than previous years but if you think about it they could only get better!!!

West better not be overlooking this game. South Doyle is very well coached and are looking to put together a perfect game. They have changed Def fronts up and looked like they were clicking against a good Carter team. Home field advantage, wet conditions, and the players marching down the hill ready to win. West had a bye week and it is hard to keep players focused during that time (Mark those weeks up as a lose in my book). It will be a close game West-16 SD-14

They are in the process of adding a gold/yellow stripe to the new jerseys that were bought. Which the new jerseys are incredible as is. There is a place on the jersey that has a white stripe on it and that is going to be changed to gold. It will look good when it is done. Another thought was to buy new pants if it cost too much for the jersey fix. The pants might be all gold.

That is funny about the 40 times. The first thing that the new hc and Def Coor did was time the kids in 40's and cone drills to determine who would play def. Those who were not fast enough will not touch the field. The reason that the coach had to tell you how well they did at other schools is because you all never would buy in with what they were preaching and had to find ways of proving that it worked. You wanted to transfer so sounds like you never gave the staff a chance. It is also funny that you talk about other members of your team who hated the staff and yet you can come to practices and see ex players there all the time cutting up with the coaches. Maybe it is just the large chip on your shoulder that you have that blinds you. Take the log out of your eye before you commit on the splinter in others.

I was reading through your post and could not help but notice how sorry your grammar is. Then the thought crossed my mind that if you were a player then maybe the problem is that the players are just too dumb to understand how football works. You can only dumb things down so much. Maybe you should have bought the book How to play football for dummies. The two of you could have got a discount for buying in bulk. By the way the offense that you dogged was tops in the conference in passing yards and TD's. Seems that the money was spent well. AND if you paid any attention to this years offense, they are still running the Franklin System they have just added some Flexbone into the playbook to add more depth to the running game. It is the same style as GT and will help open up the offense.

I understand that the alumini want the gold back and have raised cane about the team not having it on their jerseys. Why has baseball, basketball, and other teams not gotten any grief over changing the colors of their jerseys. It is clear to me that no one except a few select like the old ugly gold. I also think that unless you support and donate money to the program that you shouldn't throw your feelings into the mix to begin with. A true supporter of a program sticks with the program through thick and thin. We are the only team in knox county without a field house and people want to complain about the color of our jersey... Go Figure

First your son spent more time on the sidelines due to made up injuries. Second I was in that huddle and the coach said you all are playing like the worst team in the state. That is bc we were practicing that way and needed a wake up call. We ended up having a good practice and was told that at the end. Just bc your son hated the staff because they did not pump them full of bs and feed their ego about how good they were does not mean that you have the right to judge them. You were not in the huddle and not on the field to hear what was said. Teenagers hear what they want to believe and that definitely goes for your son who believed he was the best and should have been recruited by every college in the nation. Great dream.... There were 4 fights at the Heritage practice yesterday. 2 at William Blount. Not one of them was reported to the Principals. They are to handled on the field. Maybe you should report them too.

I will always support the coaching staff but not the parents who wish they were coaches. This is the main reason why this program will never succeed, parents get the wrong info and spread it to everyone else. There was never an altercation (FIGHT) in the parking lot after the bowling outing. There where 2 kids who are best friends, who ride home everyday with each other (even that day) who were horse playing in the parking lot and accidently bumped into another players car. Reeves called the father of the player who hit the car and told him he would have to pay for the damages. It is the same as hitting a ball in your back yard and hitting your neighbors window. It was an accident. NOT INTENTIONAL nor was it a FIGHT... It is just a matter of time before Witt is the next target for the Karns faithful. It is too bad for a nice guy with a great family.

You are so right filling out paperwork to take kids bowling in order to bring them together was a horrible crime and should lead to someone getting fired... FUNNY Lets get to the real issue at hand and that the parents blamed Reeves for not disciplining the players. I for one say if the parents in the Karns Community would discipline their own children and teach them about morals, values, how to act in public, how it is wrong to curse, how to respect adults, how fighting isn't always the answer, how to be a good citizen and not thugs and criminals then the coaches would not have too and could spend that extra time actually coaching. Instead of spending hours of bashing good people on these stupid blogs how about spending time with your children and doing your job so others don't get blamed for your screw-ups... Just some free advice.

Jerseys were ordered I saw the PO and know the guy they ordered them from. And if your son did suck like we all know he did then maybe a little truth telling would have been good for him. But we all know that never happened anyways. The coaches at Karns have never told the kids that they were horrible or even bad. THEY HAVE stated that they were not great and had lots of improvements to make before they could compete with other schools. If that hurts your little feelings then football isn't the sport for you and your son. I heard track and cheerleading was looking for someone with your caliber and touchy feelings.

I am not taking anything away from Witt but out of his own mouth said I do not want the HC position bc I have to children at home and do not want to deal with the BS that coach Reeves had to deal with. I want to keep my job as long as I can.... Karns HC job is a dead end for anyone no matter what experience they have or success. The community has proven that time and time again... The only reasons the remaining coaches are still there is because of the jerk you fired loved the program and kids so much that he asked them to stay so that their season would not be a total wash. People think it was a good idea to fire the head coach and off coordinator 2 weeks before the season started. Very intelligent on the parents part. Coach Reeves was a good man and a great coach who should have received encouragement instead of heartache. And the parents should be happy that the remaining coaches stayed aboard instead of leaving. Believe me there is no one to fill their spots 2 weeks b4 the season starts....

First Coach Witt is a good coach but is not ready for the head job and does not want the head job. Second he did not bring back the blue and gold the new principal did and only for a few games.

I don't really understand where you all get your info and why you insist on posting false information. All the coaches support prayer and religion on the team. We pray before every game in the locker room. Most of the staff are members of a local church and attend weekly. There are 2 coaches that do not attend church due to family reasons but believe in God. Get your info straight before trying to ruin an image of a person you bunch of hypocritical, spineless, morons. If you have a problem with someone you don't hide behind your screens or go around that individual. You should grow a spine and confront that individual. I know for a fact that it hasn't happened. You all have such opinions and want to point out the coaches flaws. Before you call yourself a christian take a look at yourself..... You will answer to the one who truly matters someday.
