Knox webb will be the 1 seed from east/middle 1, and the overal 1 seed. Dca will be the 1 seed from east/middle 2, overall 2 seed. The rest of the seeds are still up for grabs. It'd be something if Davidson missed the playoffs

Congrats to Boyd on the win. Dca's best player didnt play. He had 11 catches, 2 td's, and 13 tackles against Webb before he got hurt. Likely would have been a different game but o well. Good luck to Boyd the rest of the season.

Hope DCA can pull this one out but it will be hard. Although webb no longer has Aaron blance they are still unbelievably talented. 2 high powered o's battling it out! should be a good one!

DCA did look good last night. They pounded it out on the ground all night. The next 2 weeks will be DCA's biggest tests. Both at home but against Webb and Boyd Buchanan. good luck DCA

Fluke plays? i was there and DCA didn't have one fluke play. WIth about two and a half minutes left they scored a touchdown to be down 5 and then perfectly executed an onside kick. after the kick they were 4/4 on 4th down conversions that set up the game winning touchdown pass. Then FC paniced and through a pic 6 and then another pic. Them friendship boys looked tired in the 4th!!! GO G'VILLE

Any team regardless of record should play, no matter how bad they might be. Football is about way more then just winning and losing. TheAlumnist probably never played and doesn't understand what it's all about. There's nothin like friday nights, no matter who you play for!

The fact that you'd even post something like this is just petty. Alot of people do care about DII-A football and it has great support. First off, Sewanee and Webb School are in 8 man football, as for Grace Baptist i've never even heard of them but they aren't in this divison. You're probably a parent or fan of Ensworth and i can't wait till week 1 when Knox Webb comes over to Nashville and has there way with you pretty boys. This divison is for teams that dont want to play in 3A. These are the teams that were dominating 1A every year before the multiplier was made and they were forced up. And why the heck would these schools drop football? They have succesful programs.

Haven't heard much about Friendship this year, how will they be? Who is there best player? Should week 1 against DCA be a good game?

They didn't run a 4-3 last year, that is what they are switching too. They ran more of a 4-4 or 4-2-5 last year however you want look at it. As for Dismuke, he is staying home schooled. Talked to one of the freshmen on the team the other day and he is not there.

As a highschool football fanatic its great to hear this. i love a competitive east/middle region. As a DCA alum it's great to know they will have a good year. I saw them play several times last year and Kennedy and Johnston are both very good and in sinc with one another. Also, a player that really makes a big difference is Morvant on defense..he's a monster at LB. As for the o-line i know they only lost 2 starters so it should be pretty well off.

How does he compare to Dismuke as a back/player? is he as big and as strong of a runner?

Who will be the wildcats starting RB? how will he compare to Dismuke?

How is DCA self-imploding??! And Knox Webb WILL beat Ensworth. They have to much talent for one backfield. And running the wing-t alot of people don't see that until game time.

I dont know about all that. A throw away classification with no support? Alot of teams in DII-A are in it because they got screwed by the multiplier. It's hard to win games playing teams with 1000 more kids in highschool. Teams in this division would either be in DII-AA or in 3A getting killed every year. How are schools like DA, FRA, Dca, Ezeil with only 225 kids in highschool half of them being boys suppose to play up? It's people like you that just really dont know what you are talking about. And alot of people do what they can to get into this class: CPA and BGA might come in 2013.

I think Webb v. Ensworth could be a very close game. As for Dca i believe they have the most depth at the o-line not wr. As for the key losses i think they just put every senior lol even if they didn't play.

Webb could have played with ANYONE in DII-AA last year. As for playing 5a teams in knoxville, so what? they may lose a few games but come playoff time they will still be there and hard for any team to beat. I hate knox webb because they beat up on schools half there size, and they are the most cocky team in Tennessee. I wish they'd man up and move up but i can't really blame Webb the TSSAA should make the cut-off closer to the rest of the schools they play. Everyone in DII-A loves gettitng shot at them though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

webb should move back up but I doubt they will. If they have to play high schools with enrollments less than half there size to win so be it. Everyone wants to beat Knox Webb and this will be the year they do.

Dca lost by 1 point at Davdison on a DA touchdown and 2 pt conversion with 25 seconds left in the game? Dca controlled the entire game and should have went up 17-7 with 3 minutes left but instead they turned it over and Williams had about 75 yards that last drive. Since when is a "down year" making it to the state semi-finals?!? Unless your Alcoa that is a really good year. As for Webb, they are HUMAN. Davidson beat them 2 years ago without Williams. Dca played them close that year losing 14-3. And FRA had a chance to beat them at Webb this year. I do think it will be very hard for a team to beat webb but it IS possible. Webb is for sure the favorite going into next year looking for the 3-peat.
