  1. I agree with everything you said. It does look fishy, but why blame the team. If the officials screwed up, they should be fired. Period. I have always thought that some officials had a Barney Fife complex. Authority goes to their head. I just don't think it's fair to blame our team for the officials bad judgements.
  2. McCallie has a first class program. They deserved to win the game Friday night. To clear up a few misconceptions. Coach Wallace doesn't control who officiates home games.. Coach Wallace doesn't make the rules that our officials go by. Do you really think he likes our officials giving guys like you fodder to talk about for years. He was probably the most pissed off person in the stadium. Last but not least, he was not the person responsible for canceling the Blackman game. It was an administrative decision. He's just a coach that last year had a very good football team that beat two very good football teams from Tennessee. No conspiracies, no shady deals, and no excuses! Good luck the rest of the season.
  3. Of course, unless the fix is in. Aside from all of that, if Blackman would have kept running the ball on us, even the refs couldn't have kept them from winning. Good luck. I think the winner beats Maryville next week.
  4. I originally picked Oakland in this one, but I believe Blackmon will win the rematch. I think Blackmon's strength is in the running game. They are big, strong, and fast. If they can keep their heads, I believe they have a shot against anybody.
  5. Oakland is much more disciplined and better coached. I'll say Oakland by 21.
  6. This would never have happened in the Junction, Petticoat Junction. Uncle Charlie would have nipped it in the Budd.
  7. You guys down here in Tennessee need to lighten up a little. So serious. It's been fun stirring the pot a little. Good luck the rest of the season.
  8. The refs just didn't get Blackman's funky vibe.
  9. Let's all agree that it WAS a gamechanger. Now what? All that waisted energy on a three day old football game. Besides you and a few of your brethren, who really cares how it happened? It happened. Life isn't always fair. Move on to your next victim. I mean game. When all is said and done, the best thing that came out of that crazy game was that Bowling Green High School jumped 44 spots to #77 in A well known National Ranking and a substantial jump in all major national polls. We sincerely appreciate it. We couldn't have done it without your help.
  10. Utopia... I Like it. Bowling Green recently played their 1000th game. Also, they recently received their one millionth complaint from non-Utopian folks like yourself. I apologize for our teams dominance over your team the. [ your school name here. ] Do you Tennessee boys see what we have to put up with? It ain't easy at the top.
  11. My son thought he was trying to eat the microphone. He does get carried away sometimes.
  12. You sir are a blind fan. Nothing wrong with that, but you lose a lot to reality. I am a realist. When you graduate 16 starters, it's hard to beat a team like Blackman, with what they have coming back. It's not impossible, but improbable. They are high school football players, not heroes coming back from war. I don't worship my team like you apparently do.
  13. I don't remember him calling a timeout after the first couple of flags, but if he did, that makes it worse. He sure didn't calm them down. Flags were falling like rain over there and apparently your guys liked it because they kept asking for more. I say the same thing to you. Take responsibility for your team, fans, and coaches because they were much worse than ours.
  14. Listen, as the famous BgBadBoyz said, from where we were it looked like Blackman was clearly the instigators of all that happened between the teams and totally Blackman's fault for all the penalties. I have tried to defend my teams reputation without tarnishing your team reputation, but you guy don't hold back your insults and accusations. Until you realize that Blackmon was responsible for their own loss, you will just be sore losers to me.
  15. If we take out the part about your coach, you have a valid complaint and I apologize for any of our fans actions. That's unacceptable at any high school in the country, but it's a lot like our criminal justice system. If they don't punish them for their crimes, they will do it again. I don't have an answer for people like that, but wish someone would have busted them in the face.
  16. Many of our fans thought YOUR coach and players acted more like thugs than football players and were to blame for what they got. YOUR coach, YOUR players, YOUR problem. I don't happen to agree with all of that, but the more posts I see from fans, such as yourself, I may take a page from the Blackman handbook and blame everybody that was there, except myself, of course. Anything else you need a non-biased honest football fans opinion about? I'll be here all week.
  17. This is not true. Handshakes are optional, but the school and coaches are responsible for any problems. Our teams shook hands after our game and I was glad to see it. The KHSAA basically washed their hands of any responsibility for any problems arising from after game handshakes. They are a joke.
  18. I will admit that I thought the refs went overboard, but after a couple of flags, why would the Blaze keep talking back to them or whatever they were accused of doing? Not smart. I honestly believe some players and the coach were partly to blame. Those flags probably did affect the outcome of the game and your coach should have never let that happen. That's what timeouts are for. Regardless, the Bowling Green Purples football team and fans had nothing to do with it. That was all between the refs and Blackman. One of our players was quoted in the Daily News saying," I was surprised by all the flags thrown ". I hadn't heard about any incidents involving our players and fans yelling at the Blackmon cheerleaders and fans. If they did, they were wrong and should have been punished, but don't hold that against all of us. Our fans are proud of our team as you are of yours and this game won't change that. We will expect a pounding next year and hope for a win, but we will lose 16 starters off this team, so I guess we will show up and take our whipping like men and go home and maybe blame it all on the refs. Have a great season and see you next year.
  19. We would have been mad as heck, but wouldn't blame the player for grown #### men's mistake. By the way, some of your own fans posted on this board about a few retarded fans. We all have them. I'm just saying that our team worked just as hard as Blackmon to win that game. The refs are not ours or yours. Why blame us for what they did. There was nothing we could do about it and if you think different then you are nuttier than our coach. Our boys aren't into give backs, so I guess we will finish it next year... Or not.
  20. Wow! Here is what I think. Some fans from both fan bases were guilty of being stupid. Again, don't blame the players for other peoples ignorance. Most of you folks just sound like sore losers. You are blinded by your pride for your team. Why don't you address the real culprit? The head coach. He should have talked to his team after the second unsportsmanship penalty. He should have calmed his team down and told them that these hick refs are gonna try and screw us so don't give them any ammunition, but he didn't do that. If he did, then his team didn't listen to him. Six unsportsmanlike penalties? Your coach failed his players on that night. Honestly, if he thought the fix was in, he should have loaded up the buses and headed south. Anything is better than letting a few refs steal the game away from you. You don't let them screw your boys like that and whine about it later. If he would have done his job, we wouldn't be having this conversation today. It wasn't his fault that refs were terrible, but it was his fault that he let our coach get under his skin and did nothing to protect his players from the refs. But hey, to each his own. If you like games like that, give him a raise and turn him loose.
  21. Dude, we are not responsible for those refs. What part of that don't you get. I'm glad it was on camera so hopefully your players won't get suspended. We just wanted to play football, just like you.
  22. I certainly agree that both teams played their hearts out, but most of your fans seem to have something personal against the players and fans. Surely you can see why some people don't want to play this game next year. This years game was a hair away from a riot breaking out and it sounds like that's what's waiting for our boys next year. Please remember, the players and fans of Bowling Green were not responsible for the referees and wanted nothing more than a fair game. I understand that people were upset, but we have to play with those refs all the time.
  23. At least we were smart enough to get the win before you took your pig and went home.
  24. It may well have been disgraceful. There were missed calls and just plain bad calls, but why does everyone blame the football team? They have nothing, I repeat nothing to do with the refs. They played a very good game and won. I saw nothing that our players did to warrant all this criticism. Blame the refs all you want, but don't lay the blame on our football team. They were just doing what football players do and doing it rather well, I might add. It sounds like we might be heading into deliverance country the way you grown men are talking. How about we let the boys decide it on the field, just like they did this year. Ultimately, your coach is to blame, for letting it get out of hand. He can't control his team and he made some very bad calls in this one. Maybe you just figured out why you lost to Oakland. What was the excuse for that game?
