So sick of hearing how great Alcoa is they are but enough already you all are like us or any other school you have to get up for 1 maybe 2 games a year granted not many powerhouses around but geez I understand Alcoa is suppose to play in the Kirk herbistret thing if true then you all may see Alcoa meet their match Like I said earlier cak has closed the gap and I'm sure others will too Alcoa enjoy the ride because it wont last forever

IMO only Alcoa or cak really doesn't matter who was in the quad had they not been in the same quad cak and Alcoa would be playing this week which in all honesty they should play for the title. One thing I did want to address there was a comment made by someone here talking about alcoas finest I was along the fence line Friday when one of alcoas finest jumped on a football player from cak for yelling after that big hit the policeman should have kept his mouth shut and let the coaches do there job. As far as anyone is concerned that hit was legal by high school rules bit it was a needless hit the ball was no where close to him and it shouldvhave been called unnecessary roughness but the bottom line is Alcoa won good luck in cookeville and know that the gap closed a little bit more.

Without a doubt these are the 2 best teams around and this game should have been for the gold ball, man these 2 teams pounded on each other for 48 minutes and they each took the others best shots. Who would have thought this would have been a defensive battle, CAKs defense came to play and for that matter so did Alcoas, these 2 teams are the cream of the crop in this division, one question I asked earlier in the year I know Epperly will be going on to play college ball does anyone konw of any of the other seniors getting any looks? Again hats off to the 2 best teams around. Can't wait till next year. GO WARRIORS

One thing that would concern me is that whoever wins this gamehas to play again next week in the semis think about the minor injuries on both sides right now as well as a couple of major injuries coupled with the physical play that will be played tommorow that sets up the makings of an upset next week. I think its a shame that these 2 great programs have to play now instead of the finals these are by far the 2 best teams in this division.

For the record I don't know how the adds go here but juniordad no disrespect intended but the second post talking about how the defense getting manhandled I did not post that. I think we have a very strong defense I think the players that play d are very good I also think they will do well on Friday. If I am misreading the posts I am sorry

Warrior 011 is right with his post talking about the players on painkillers listen you have people on here talking about how physical their team is compared to cak yes Polk was physical but our players aren't soft we can play physical to and we will have to play that way Friday Alcoa is and will be alot more physical than Polk or anyone else we have seen except for week 10. There is no reason we can't win will we who knows that's why the game is played who thought the 85 vols could beat Miami in the sugar bowl or the jets beating the colts in super bowl 3. These comparisions mean nothing only to show upsets do happen. Anyway l think Alcoa is a class act and what they have been able to achieve is incredible. I just hope its a well played game with no injuries.

IMO since Alcoa is good at every aspect and they run like no one else if it were me I would do my best to make them beat me thru the air which I know they pass well but there's always a chance for drops etc I say load up the d front line which we have the size to do it and when they make the hit hold on and hope for help. On offense I don't know the status of the kids but cak has got to score every time they get the ball. Should be a good game ill say 42 35 one way or the other lol lol

Thanks govols for the players names and correct info sounds like they can match up with Polk county just fine. I think this game is a going to be fun to watch I also think if caks d is shakey at first Polk hangs around if the d is playing like they did against elizabethton Polk is in for a rough go caks offense should do just fine I also hope to see more of 67 at centerhe does a good job. Also I hear epperly visited Princeton is there anyone else being looked at. Anyway hopefully we have a injury free game and both teams stay healthy.

Go vols thanks for the info on the o line now I don't know names but I'm going to take a stab at this our front and I'm doing my best our d ends 39 goes around 175 78 goes around 190 our line 67 goes around 250 71 goes around 285 and 75 goes about 250 to 260 that's just my best guess we should match up wellour o line is big to 67 and71 have both played there this year 61 and 51 looks to go around 230 240. 77 and 54 are smaller arond 210 like I said this is a guess both our lines are good as far as our skill positions that a whole different post. First off Congrats to Alcoa they are a great team and well coached but with talent like they have coaching is easy and fun. I want to say Congrats to the warriors to great run and guys it ain't over yet. Now along with some others I agree the referees were terrible on both sides of the ball but the outcome would not change I don't think any kind of official should ever determine a games outcome but more times than not they do again that did not happen tonight. Two great high schools butted heads last night and they left it all out there on the field and I hope we see this match up again should be interesting you never know what can happen that's why they play the game. Congrats again to both teams on outstanding seasons.

There is alot of disrespect going on this week we all know Alcoa is the best in the state right now all you tornado fans should be proud so act like it you all have been on top a long time so again act like the champions you are Remember one day you will run into a team that will beat you and the run will be over. This in my opinion is a football message board not a board to put plctures of cak players on the field with cupcakes seems to me both teams have played 2nd teir teams. Remember both teams are class acts so we as fans should be to.

Alot of talk my question is why think about it you have 2 really good teams one just happens to be the best there is but the other is no pushovers and both these teams are in East TN and ranked 1 and 2. Here's the deal be proud of both these teams they are having outstanding years and I'm sure both coaching staffs are fully aware of the impact of this game. In my opinion which means nothing any team can be beaten on a given night that's why the game is played and Alcoa is the best there is they are. number 1 but I promise you this all you tornado fans you all may very well beat cak but don't for one minute think those kids are going to lay down. Someone mentioned the inside trap earlier and stopping it from my perspective when you play a running team play a run defense for example a 5-2 add an extra lineman on the nose and play gap quit thinking a 4-4 is all you can play cak has a good d regardless of all the nay Sayers their still winning. I say take your regular 5 guys and stack the middle play 67 or 71 on the nose and the other at tackle 75 39 and 78 should stay put also I notice the d line reads more than exploding into the o line but gang that's how they are coached they are told to read just like college players so my advice and it means nothing try a 5-2 or 5- 3 couldn't hurt. In the end we ate still 8-0 so why complain

I sure hope the d does man up the wing t poses a few problems but with the 5 guys that roll on the front line they should make some plays. One thing with a running team there is usually a double team which will leave one linebacker open to make a play. How is the health of the team anyone besides the kicker hurt or out? Another question is the kicker out of the hospital? Were praying for him to get back soon. Cak should win so here's hoping for a good and injury free game

Didn't know about kicker what happened and is there a replacement? Also is that the only injury or are there others? Man coming off a bye week and your kicker is hurt that's bad hopefully there's no more injuries.

Kind of quiet for a big week of CAK football, I guess it's hard coming off a bye week. Question for the gallery, Does CAK feel the effects of the bye week or do we come out ready to play?? I think we will be ready the bye week came at a good time I'm sure the guys were tired and were feeling rough after 4 straight road games.We are getting into a rough stretch of games Kingston, Elizabethton and Alcoa are no easy task I know we are 7-0 but do the coaches make any changes at all either in play calling or personal? Well it wasn't the shootout most thought it would be, in the first half it seemed like a defensive battle, the qb had 2 or 3 big runs but it was not by design they were broken plays because our front 4 were in their backfield all night.The Scott qb and offense was not the most conventional offense we have seen, alot of time I don't know how they got a play off without having a delay of game, it was hard getting to the qb because it was mostly snap and throw in less than 2 seconds. Like I said earlier, the d front and backers was going to have to stop what they can control, and for the most part they did, If not for the qb breaking away on broken plays the Scott running game was NOT a factor. The CAK offense and defense completly took over the second half of the ballgame scoring 28 unanswered points and shutting down and out the Scott offense. All in all a well played and hard fought win, now it's time to rest up and after the bye week get back to buisness and thank goodness we are finally coming back to our home field. Congrats on a 7-0 record and take some much needed time to rest. Go Warriors

I have to agree cooler temps means nothing, it will be cooler on both sides of the ball, anyway, I don't think you will see a more talented team than we saw at Loudon until we face Alcoa yes Scott may very well throw it around but do they have the skill people Loudon did and for what it's worth do they have any taller recievers than we saw at Carter? I'm sorry but I see this differently than most, I may be 100% off base but I think you will see a CAK team hungry for a big win espically on the defensive side of the ball, they have something to prove again this week, if the Scott QB is like the Loudon QB or is better with a quick release then the d front will have to make the plays when they can i.e. stop the run, 39,75,71,67,and 78 will need to stop what they can stop meaning if they don't have the time to pressure the QB stop everything else, let the linebackers and d backs stop the pass espically the little 5-6 yard out passes. I see this game being a couple of ways, if our guys are ready to play both on offense which has not been a problem yet and on defense this game could become a blowout, on the other hand if the d does not stop Scotts O it could be very close I don't think there will be an in between, anyway good luck to the warriors and lets go into the bye week 7-0 and keep both CAK and Scott injury free.

I think if the defense plays like they did this past Friday it will be a long night for the Scott Co offense, the d saw a offense Friday in the first drive they didn't expect but they caught on to it. The usual 12 to 13 players that play defense for the Warriors needs to play like they did Friday, 75 67 71 39 and 78 looked much better and the backers and d backs did as well, and the offense was on fire as well. I think the d pretty much plays the same way next Friday as they did this past Friday, hopefully they can sit down in the second half again and let the younger guys get some valuable experience. Go Warriors, and good job against the Chiefs, now lets put it together for Scott Co. and get #7.

Great game last night, the defense saw something different the first drive but shut it down just as quick, 78 71 67 75 and 39 played hard and hopefully quieted the critics at least for the week, the d as a whole looked much better the linebackers were moving and the d backs covered better than they did last week, the ones pitched a shutout but hats off to the twos and JV, only allowed 7 points, the offense looked good again the first drive the last drive what can you say. Anyway great win lets get ready for Scott Co.

Gvk you are right I have also played and I was usually part of a d that bent but didn't breakif my memory serves alot of championship defenses bent but like you said it's Friday and time to play this team will be ready to play and coach bradley will have the d ready no doubt

I have to agree with ronmexicos post the o is just fine and I believe he said revamped d you better hope not well he is right like I have said coach bradley plays 13 or 14 guys on d they do a great job but all of a sudden they play a flat game that we still win and people want to change things up well if the d pulls the o out of the fire tonight are the people gonna be hollering to revamp them to I'm sorry but seems to me the bottom line is WE ARE WINNING 5-0 warrior fans. I saw the stats man 42 for and 21 against that's really good. I said this before and ill say it again cak needs the front guys on d to dictate this game if nothing more then just to show the nay Sayers they can play. 75 67 71 39 and 78 all rotate on the front and all are capable of making life miserable for the chiefs and I believe they will.
