  1. Play 'em tough Bears! Best of luck to you guys, see you in a couple of weeks. We look forward to having you guys up at our place this year.
  2. You guys got a quality kid in Kendrick. Evidently there were issues between his mother and the coaching staff. Who knows? (Please allow a moment of insanity as I make the following remarks) She's always been a mouthy one, so good luck with her. I'm not going to miss her coach bashing tactics. Just because your kid doesn't play in the jamboree, you yank him out of his school and uproot his life? Nice! Its a shame when the kid is caught in the middle, he's a good kid. (Back to gcapride) Good luck tomorrow night, hope everyone comes out injury free. Best of luck this year as you guys uproot Alcoa as the E. TN. powerhouse. I will be pulling for you guys. And Good Luck to Kendrick, he's going to be a good one for you guys next year.
  3. Certainly hope you guys "welcome" the Yellow Jackets into the 2010 football season properly. Best of luck to you guys this season.
  4. Grace looked rough in the jamboree. I watched the Halls scrimmage, we looked much better in the scrimmage than in the jamboree. Our defense is solid, but FD said it, we play several of our guys both ways, and in this heat, that will take its toll. Playing 1A and 2A teams we can usually get away with the lack of depth. The schools we play are usually in the same boat. Playing teams such as CAK, Gibbs, Johnson County, etc. who have more depth could cause problems. CAK is an elite program, well respected by the supporters of our program and folks around east TN. I look for the score to be similar to last year, if we can hold the ball and keep CAK's offense on the bench as long as possible. Special teams are also a question mark, need to get better this week to keep this one close.
  5. Grace will again be solid, not sure how we will stack up against last year's team, but should be pretty solid. QB is a concern, no offense to Blake, he's been thrown into the starting roll this year after our starter last year decided not to play. Defense looks good, need to get more aggressive at corner, but overall should be a strength of the team. As for CAK, didn't get to Neyland last night in time to see the Warriors. Can't wait to see Epperly again, he's a great talent. Looking forward to seeing you guys on Thursday night. Glad to see Football season roll around again.
