  1. When a team earns its way into a regional game, they have plenty of business being there. You can't take that away from them. As far as the quotes that panther93 has made on here....I'm pretty sure he's just trying to stir things up. My guess is Powell goes into this game planning to fight and scrap for everything they can. They are surely the underdogs, but sometimes that works in a team's favor. I think this is the first time since 2000 that Powell has made it out of the district. PHS baseball is definitely on the rise. They are starting a lot of underclassmen this season, and they also have a strong group of freshman coming in next year. The future looks bright! GO PANTHERS!
  2. Powell and Farragut play at 7:00 Monday night at PHS.
  3. She's missing it pretty bad right now, but she will bounce back in time to play some this summer with TN Fury. Thanks for your concern.
  4. Not exactly sure how she broke it, but she broke her sesamoid bone in her right foot. It's the big bone that you would consider the "ball" of your foot.
  5. Powell's All-State centerfielder and Tennessee Tech signee, Cassidy Skeen is out for the remainder of the 2008 season due to a broken bone in her right foot. She will be in a cast for up to 8 weeks, but surgery should not be necessary and a full recovery is expected following physical therapy. She plans on playing outfield for the Tennessee Fury out of Chatanooga this summer in 18U Gold before heading to Tech in the fall.
  6. Powell played Rossview to a 4-2 loss, then beat the Collierville team 8-0 before losing 2-0 to Soddy. Not too bad a showing for a team that started four freshmen and will only lose two seniors.
  7. Powell only lost two seniors and with both pitchers coming back, they could have a strong 2006 season and hopefully a return trip to the State Tournament.
  8. Is there a link to the schedule for this weekend in Hendersonville?
  9. Boy, I can sleep at night knowing that you don't hate us! Pup-Doggy-Dogg, you and your WC fans have been crying and making excuses ever since we whipped you in Greeneville. You guys refused to give Powell any credit for that win. WC has a very good ball team. They don't need you to make excuses for them when they lose to a good team. Good luck to MTJ, I hope they win it all. CONGRATULATIONS LADY PANTHERS ON A GREAT SEASON!
  10. This late in the season and your still making excuses about that game? And oh, by the way, your prediction was wrong. The Powell Lady Panthers are headed to the State.
  11. just play the game just play the game OK, we get the point. Is your team in the Sub-State?
  12. Nobodody's crying, papatj. These girls earned the right to play at their home floor, just like every other regional champion across the state. I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot, you would not be happy with this decision either. GO LADY PANTHERS!
  13. Cait was not back. Karns beat em by 3.
  14. You are right. Powell is playing like a team again. Five of their six losses came very early in the season when they were without their head coach. However, Oak Ridge has also improved since early in the season. Should be a fun one to watch. GO LADY PANTHERS!
  15. Glad to see everyone is still overlooking Powell. GO LADY PANTHERS!
